Annabeth opened her eyes to a vaguely familiar room. She felt as though she had been in this place a lot of times but never woken up here.
She tried to move but was held back by strong arms around her waist. She gradually turned around, only to face an all too familiar chest.
Percy.
All of a sudden, the not-so-pleasant events of the previous night flooded her mind. She had experienced a flashback. More appropriately, a modified flash back.
Last night had scared the shit out of her. To be very frank and honest, only the feeling of Percy's strong arms wrapped around her body and the way his chest rose and fell in an undisturbed pattern-- a sign that he was alive and well-- calmed her down.
"Annabeth?" Percy whispered
She looked up into those mesmerizing green eyes.
"Morning seaweed brain"
"How did you sleep last night, considering I was your pillow?"
"You volunteered to be my pillow. I slept well... After my little 'episode'. So, um, Chiron agreed?"
Annabeth's hand was tracing Percy's jaw, absent mindedly, of course.
Percy's arms tightened around her waist, pulling her closer if possible and he pressed a kiss on her forehead.
"After a bit of reasoning, yes, he did."
"So, I'll be sleeping here now?" Annabeth asked, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
"Every night, yes. We'll fight back to back again this time, against nightmares and flashbacks, and all" Percy replied, with a complete grin.
Their foreheads touching, they finally kissed.
-----------Did I just break?-----------------------
"I know we generally do not have announcements during breakfast, but this is important," Chiron's voice boomed.
"I do not want gossips or rumors spreading through camp. So I must say this.
I believe all of you know that Percy and Annabeth have walked through literal hell together. As a kind of curse they bore with them, they are now being haunted by nightmares and flash backs.
For these unimaginably tough periods of time they go through, I have granted them privilege to sleep in the same cabin at night.
I hope you understand that the reasons for such decision are justifiable.
A meeting for head of the cabins shall be held in the Big house, fifteen minutes after breakfast is over."
After he finished, the usual buzz and chatter of the dining pavilion continued.
Except this time, no one glanced at Annabeth or Percy questioningly, only Drew looked a little pissed.
Author's Note:
Greetings, fellas.
How are y'all doing? I just enjoyed a small vacation by the beach, so was unable to update.
My life just got a hell lot worse in the evening. Sanity is at the brink right now. Only writing stories or talking to my best of people seems to help.
THANK YOU ALL FOR CROSSING 100 READS!! It really means a lot although it's only 0.1 K XD.
Disclaimer: All characters belong to Rick Riordan.
I own the plot so,
Let me preserve and reserve what's mine. 2019.
