The horn for dinner sounded. Annabeth's last activity of the day had been archery. She had to teach a few tricks to the young campers.

As far as she remembered, Percy's last activity was canoeing, also teaching a few young campers.

She dismissed her youngsters and started towards the Athena cabin. She really needed a shower and a change of clothes.

Almost halfway there, just after crossing the strawberry fields, she saw Percy running towards his cabin. But then, he caught her eye, smiled and changed directions to run towards her.

As soon as he reached her, she was engulfed in a hug and the calming vibe of the sea. Yet again, Annabeth felt safe.

She had not felt this way the entire day, not after she left Percy's embrace in the morning.

Taking in the ocean scent, Annabeth asked, "Hey seaweed brain, how was canoeing class?"

Percy pulled away, looked at her sceptically and said,
"Good question. Let me tell you, wise girl that canoeing class turned into swimming class within fifteen minutes."

Annabeth breathed a laugh as the suddenly the mystery behind Percy being so energetic at the end of the day got uncovered.

"So that's where all this energy comes from." She stated.

"Pretty much. I'm guessing you need a cold shower by the look on your face."

"Yeah. Yeah, I do. Today was exhausting."

"It's okay. I'll meet you in front of your cabin in fifteen minutes for dinner. Works for you?"

"Absolutely."

Dinner was like the usual. There was chit-chat with her siblings, short eye contacts with Percy and Chiron announcing important stuff.

They had camp fire tonight. Percy left dinner early to get their supplies.

A mat to sit on, a blanket, and a few chocolate bars (in case they were hungry).

After she finished her dinner, Annabeth made her way to cabin three. She did not knock, straight away opened the door.

All their supplies were ready, sitting on the ground and Percy was laying on his bed.

"Percy?"

"Yeah? Oh, hey wise girl" he replied, without getting up.

Annabeth made her way to his bed and leaned over, running her hands through his hair.

Percy responded by closing his eyes and using one of his hands to bring hers to his lips and kissed her palm.

"Anything wrong?" Annabeth asked.

"No. Nothing wrong wise girl."

"Percy." She chided.

"Okay. I was thinking about my nightmares. You think you could sleep in here tonight?"

Annabeth sighed.

"Percy, I don't think so. We should talk to Chiron about it first you know"

Percy nodded, understanding.

"This night sleep in your cabin. We'll talk to Chiron tomorrow morning, after breakfast."

"For once, seaweed brain, you're right. Now let's head to campfire"

Percy smirked, got up and said,
"All hail crazy demigods!"

Annabeth laughed and followed Percy out of the cabin.

Little did the know, this would not be the best campfire...
