All along I believed, I would find you,
Time has brought your heart to me,
I have loved you,
For a thousand years,
I'll love you for a thousand more...

Knock. Knock, knock.

"Wise girl? You in there?"
Percy was standing in front of the Athena cabin, in an orange Camp Half-blood T-shirt and blue jeans.

The door opened, revealing Annabeth in a similar camp tee and blue jeans shorts, her hair pulled up in a messy bun.

"Hey Seaweed brain. Everyone just left for breakfast, I was only arranging my blue prints. You ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."

Percy grabbed her hand and they made their way to breakfast.

--------- it hurts to be broken though------

"What kind?"

"Mainly flashbacks. Sometimes stuff that could have happened but did not happen. The bad stuff, I mean."

"Vivid?"

"Very, almost like it's real."

Annabeth was sitting on a couch, listening, while Percy and Chiron talked about his nightmares. Apparently, he had been having them for a week now.

Tears sprung into Annabeth's eyes but she blinked them back.

As she listened to them talk, she kept thinking about the previous night. How distraught her seaweed brain had been. His usual bright green eyes, filled with mischief, had turned a shade darker, she had seen pain.

She had seen Percy Jackson cry. To imagine he had been going through this for a week...

"Hey" Percy's voice sounded through her thoughts.

She only glared at him. She knew it was not his fault and all this time, he was thinking I don't want her to worry but still, it hurt her.

Percy's eyebrows scrunched up in worry and he knelt before her.

"Wise girl, what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Something is. Tell me, Annabeth." Percy pressed, cupping her cheek with his hand.

"Percy. We need to talk." Her voice broke.
It hurt Percy to see her like this, but if she insists...,

He gently took her hand in his and pulled her up. They trudged their way through the green lawn and headed to Cabin 3.

As they reached his cabin, Percy pushed open the door with his free hand.
He then pulled Annabeth inside and seated her on his bed. Kneeling before her and wrapping his arms around her waist, he said,
"Wise girl?"

Annabeth lifted her lowered gaze and met Percy's green orbs.

"Hey, what's the matter?" Percy gushed, seeing her eyes brimmed with tears and brushed off the ones that leaked with his thumb.

"Percy I-" she finally spoke, but broke down.
Percy did not speak. He waited for her while stroking her hair.

"Why didn't you tell me Percy?" She murmured.

"I-- what?"

"Why didn't you tell me you were having nightmares for a week?" She was yelling now.
"Do you know how much it hurt me to know that you were in pain for an entire week and I couldn't help?!"

"Annabeth, I'm sorry, I really did not mean to hurt you, I just did not want you to worry, wise girl."

Annabeth looked down, then started;

"That morning when I woke up to find you gone, do you know how I felt? You were nowhere to be found, Percy. I did not want to eat and I definitely did not sleep. I was counting the time to minutes, seaweed brain, I remember telling Piper that I had been searching for you for three days, six hours and about twelve minutes. I feel empty without you, Percy. People-people thought you were no more, I believed none of that--"

She was stopped by Percy kissing her. She gave in. Annabeth felt a sudden safety. She felt secure whenever she was with him, in his embrace. She had lost her safety for eight months, found it and almost lost it again.

Homely was something demigods rarely feel.
She wrapped her arms around Percy's neck while his arms tightened around her waist.

After sometime, they broke apart and Percy said,
"I love you too wise girl, to infinity and beyond. I'm so sorry I disappeared. I really am sorry I could not do anything about it. You are the love of my life, Annabeth, I'll never leave you."

Annabeth calmed down a bit and burried her head in the crook of Percy's neck.
She mumbled against his skin,
" I love you too Percy. I just-- I was, I dunno--"

"Hey, it's okay, it happens."

"Can we stay here a bit longer before resuming our schedule?"

"Sure."
