Red: Red is mute, which explains his silence. Instead, he uses sign language to communicate. Red is usually pretty withdrawn and he doesn't show much emotion, even with his close friends. He is extroidinately good at training and emphathizing with Pokémon, but doesn't easily make human friends because he's kind of odd and off-putting.

Leaf: Leaf is surprisingly conniving for a protagonist. She's always coming up with schemes to either cause mischeif or get what she wants. Leaf's greatest weapons are her charisma and way with words. She's very good at finding loopholes in rules and laws so she can do what she wants. She is the ultimate shipper.

Ethan: Ethan is arrogant and cocky to the extent of Blue Oak, but if someone is in trouble, he looses that attitude and tries to to help them in anyway he can. Ethan is very good at flirting with both boys and girls. He's also pretty competitive. He's probably so cocky and confident because of his skills as a trainer and the fact he defeated Red.

Lyra: Lyra is a very cheerful, bouncy girl. She's always laughing and loves to sing and dance, though she's not very good. Despite her chill appearance, Lyra is very good at organizing events and is very no-nonsense when she's telling people what do. That happens a lot, because Lyra's pretty bossy and will always step up when a leader is needed.

Kris: aka Lyra from another dimension. Like Lyra, Kris is pretty bossy and good at organizing things. Unlike Lyra, Kris is uptight and nervous, always freaking out about being late and such. Kris is also very observant and has a knack for remembering and finding things. This makes her very good at catching and studying all the Pokémon.

Brendan: Brendan is a friendly and goofy boy. He's very open-minded and curious about people from other walks of life. He treats strangers like they're his family, which can be little off-putting. Brendan's secret base is top notch and he prefers contests to battling. He enjoys trying out bad puns on everyone he knows, especially his Pokémon.

May: May is an athletic and crazy girl. She's got two modes: overly hyper and ravenously hungry. She's loud, rambunctious and rather annoying. She and Brendan have pun offs all the time in lieu of battles. May also has a very strong sense of justice and is over-dramatic. She's known for saying weird and random things. She also has a chocolate addiction.

Lucas: Lucas is an introverted and bookish sort of guy. Lucas is curious and intelligent with an eye for detail. However, he is prone to forgetting really important things, like feeding his Pokémon. He prefers to read about things rather than do them. He is excedely sensitive and is terrified of offending people. He's scared of Cyrus.

Dawn: Like Lucas, Dawn is very introverted and curious, but she prefers to experience things for herself rather than read about them. Dawn has a love for adventuring and exploration and a thirst for knowledge. She's especially interested in old myths and will go bother Cynthia about them whenever she can.

Hilbert: Hilbert is a very dependable guy. He's got a plan for every situation and will always give you the best advice. Unlike Hilda, he tends not to see the good intentions behind some people's bad actions, and will often refuse to help them. Hilbert is also brutally honest and very good at giving constructive criticism.

Hilda: Brave, outspoken and fiercely loyal, Hilda is a hero through and through. Going along with her hero-ness, she sees the good in everyone, even if they don't have good in them. That gets her into trouble. Hilda is also very competitive and she will turn anything into a competition, especially if it involves her Pokémon.

Nate: Nate is an energetic adventurer. He's always ready and rearing to go, even if he should slow down. Nate could be considered reckless by some because when something peaks his interest, he rushes in to see it without thinking. Nate is also the sort of person that has trouble staying in the same place for a long time. He has a lot of flying types because they can take him places.

Rosa: Rosa is the girliest of the protagonists. She likes fancy clothes, shopping and cute Pokémon. She also really likes battling and is good at it. Rosa is shy and she prefers to stay out of the spotlight, but she's talented so she often ends up in it anyway. Rosa has major self-esteem issues and is an anxious pessimist. She probably needs help.

Calem: Calem is a perfect gentleman. He's kind and is polite to everyone. Calem also tries to act calm and composed, but he's a sucker for bad puns. He is also the sort of person that unininentionally flirts with everyone but is really bad at flirting when he tries to flirt. He tends to have crushes on many people at once, including fictional characters and celebrities.

Serena: Serena is a very stylish young woman who tries to be the embodiment of grace. She's calm, cool and collected and works very well under pressure. She acts a lot like a very regal queen, walking everywhere with an elegant calm. She tries not to show her many emotions because she doesn't want to be seen as weak. The only people she will cry in front of are her Pokémon.

Sun: Sun is a quiet, reserved boy. He doesn't speak much, and when he does, it's usually something wise or sad. Sun is a very gloomy boy. He always assumes the worst in people and the future. This may be because he's spent his life overshadowed by his sister. Sun doesn't act out for attention, however, he fades into the background and observes everything with a grave wiseness.

Moon: The opposite of her brother, Moon is an energetic and cheerful girl who could not be more excited to explore new places. She's goofy and the opposite of serious, and she loves life. Recently, however, Moon has become more withdrawn and sadder, her cheerfulness just an act.
