Jade was sitting on her bed, Chromebook open to google hangouts while listening to music via her phone. Her expression brightened as her Chromebook dinged, notifying her of a new message from hangouts. Kevin had messaged her. They immediately started a conversation.

Jade sighed, his parents were always doing stuff like this to him. It annoyed her as she really enjoyed spending time talking with Kevin, calls were always fun. He made her laugh and smile even if he couldn't talk because of his parents. She sighed as she saw he went offline, she wasn't quite sure why she was upset. They were friends and could be nothing more, Kevin was 20 and she was two months from her 16th birthday. Even if they both felt that way, it was illegal; it would be long distance and those kinds of relationships were illegal. That stupid law by the UN ruined everything. Age didn't matter once you got to age 15. Jade shook her head and laid down. Her emotions were all over the place recently. The girl rolled her eyes when her computer dinged but then saw it was Kevin and brightened up again.
