Annie pov

Gasps from almost everyone goes through the room at Navi's challenge.

"I plan to make sure everyone takes this law and practice it." Navis voice cuts the air and it feels as if the words cut into my heart at my sister's words. Like she was signing her own death certificate.

"Then we have no choice but war. Navi you will not be able to take on the countries all at once." Faren states confidently causing Acan and the rest to nod their heads in agreement.

A laugh rings through the air from his words and Navi wipes away an imaginary tear before replying. "Oh I don't plan to, some of you will come to your senses and join me. I'm sure of it." Navi states and my eyes widen at the smirk that takes over Jacy's face as I realize Navi's double meaning.

"Just be glad I'm not trying to become a supreme ruler, I just want you all to follow a simple law, how hard is that." Navi shrugs innocently.

"No, I'm sure you're smart enough to know it will never happen." Acan hisses causing Navi to raise a brow at his words.

"Oh? Fine, I change my mind, I want to be supreme ruler over you all, once I win this war you all will bow before me." Navi sneers as she raises her head at the challenge.

My eyes widen at my sister, long gone is the skittish girl I knew just a couple months ago, now is a fearless leader, an evil fearless queen.

"If war is what you want, then war is what you'll get," Ajax states eerily calm as him and Mae Flower stand and abruptly walk out, the rest of them follow. I stand and make eye contact with Navi.

A moment passes as the rest of the councils and queens and kings leave quickly, probably to start planning battle plans.

I walk towards Navi stopping infront of her. Jacy raises an eyebrow as she walks to Navi grabbing her arm lovingly. I glare at her hand wanting to burn it off.

"Darling leave us." Navi commands and obediently, Jacy leaves.

"Yes my lovely sister." Navi smiles and I cringe inwardly at the sweetness in her voice.

"What the hell was that." I whisper harshly as Jacy walks out the door closing it. Leaving us in the sound proof meeting room.

"I believe they call it asserting dominance." I roll my eyes at Navi's cocky tone as she smirks proudly.

"Navi you literally just started a war with all of the kingdoms."

"Desdemona." Navi corrects me causing me to take a deep breath and release it harshly. "And I know, I have everything planned Annie, I'm not dumb. Chaotic but not dumb." She chuckles at her own words and honestly I love my sister but I just want to choke her. Beat some sense into her

"This is not you, Navi" I try to reason with my sister but she just tilts her head at me and puts her hand to her chin sarcastically, mocking a thoughtful look.

'You're right it isn't. I'm not Navi any more I'm desde-"

"No you are not, shut up! You are Navi," My voice rises slightly as my frustration starts to slip through. My control loosening and I try to quickly snatch it back.

"No I'm not, Navi died with Bain." She glares at me as her tone matches mine. 

Anger erupts at me at her words, her excuses, I'm tired, of it; all of it.

"No don't you dare use his death as an excuse for what you have done and what you are doing, he is probably rolling in his grave right now." My voice raises again as my control slips a little more. I try desperately to reel it back in.

"You don't understand." I scoff at her words and roll my eyes dramatically.

"I don't understand?" I point to myself. "-You think life has been rose's and chocolates for me? Mother wasn't only hard on you, she put me in a fucking waist trainer!" Like a damn my control breaks.

"My rib cage is ruined because of her! Mother was so busy hating on you and loving Iris she didn't give me one look unless it was to tell me to skip a meal . So stop it with the fucking sob story!" I yell at Navi as I step closer to her getting in her face.

Though Navi doesn't step down as she comes right back at me.

"Shit, I would give anything to trade spots with you. I wish mother hardly looked at me. Or spoke to me. You just kept to the shadows and watched them put me through hell!" Navi accuses me as I through my hands up.

"I'm sorry. But I was a kid what was I supposed to do? Huh? Go to someone? Who was I supposed to go to? Dad had this town wrapped around his finger. Who would they believe the child or the amazing workaholic with the perfect family?"

"Shut up annie it's all excuses." Navi spits at me while shaking her head.

I scoff at the audacity.

"Excuses? You are the fucking queen of excuses, You've been using excuses the moment you met Bain!"

"You don't know what its lik-" Navi starts to yell but I interrupt up screaming louder.

"Know what it's like!? Your mate accepted you! My mate took one look at me told me he couldn't be with me and marked someone then next day. Then tried raped me! Fuck that  I don't understand bullshit,"

Then dread sets into me as I wish I would have put my foot into my mouth as I see the murderous look go through her.

"He. Did. What."

I clench my teeth and swallow harshly. "Don't worr-"

"Who is he?" I open my mouth to tell her not to worry but she beats me to the punch. "It was Jadyn, wasn't it."

My eyes widen confirming her suspicions.

"Navi don't." I say as I grab at her arm as she starts to walk past me. She shrugs my arm off as she quickly walks to the door. I follow after her as she opens the door walking out.

"Navi don't worry about it." She turns to me and holds out her hand, my eyes widen as ice leaves her hand. It goes straight to my legs and feet, stopping me in my tracks.

"Navi!" I yell. "Shit." I curse under my breath and I quickly breathe in igniting the flame in my heart, I heat up my legs causing the ice to melt. I then rush down the hallway, I turn down it and Yelp as I run into someone causing us both to fall to the ground.

"Damn how did I get stuck with a damn klutz as a mate." I roll my eyes at Jadyns groaning. I quickly stand grab his hand and pull him up. "What the fu-"

"Shut up and come on." I say as I drag him the opposite way.

Jadyn let's out a cocky chuckle. "See I knew you were a whore and would want me soon enough," I roll my eyes at his words trying desperately to ignore him.

"I can't believe you're even here. I thought you were locked up," I state and he shrugs.

"I'm the kings right hand man. All I had to do was agree to therapy and have a sob story of mommy issues." Jadyn chuckles and I roll my eyes as I continue leading him through the hallways. My escape plan, the back door.

"You know if I had a thing for fat girls we could have been great together. But skinny is more my flavor." I huff and turn stopping us both as I'm met with his cocky grin.

"I'm trying to save your fucking life. So shut the fuck up before I hand your life on a silver platter to Navi." I spit making him go more pale than what he already is.

"Wait wha-" before he can say anything an ice collar forms around his throat halting his words. I turn to see Navi with an evil smirk.

Jadyns eyes widen as he sees her.

"You, you rejected my sister and then tried to rape her?" Navi then makes a 'tsk' sound as she shakes her head.

Jadyn starts to say something but before he can Navi closes her open hand that's facing Jadyn causing the ice collar around his neck to tighten significantly crushing his throat. Jadyn falls to the ground.

"No!" I shout as I catch him mid fall and land on the ground with him. Whatever was left of the mate Bond is snatched from me.

I did not have any feelings for Jadyn, but losing your mate still hurts, the feeling of that bond being ripped hurts like hell.

I don't like violence, I don't like death, I know at times it is necessary or unavoidable but this, was neither of those. I look up to Navi as she smiles approvingly at her actions.

"Navi you are becoming a monster!" I shout at her as I hold a lifeless Jadyn in my arms.

Navi looks down at me as she tilts her head, her insanity shows itself with an emotionless expression. Her insanity speaks for her causing me to feel hopeless.

"Sometimes you have to become a monster to kill the monsters in the world."

The making of Glitch: I have an anxiety and depression disorder, with that comes "ticks". I gave Navi one of my anxiety ticks. Pulling at her earlobe is a tick of mine.  my husband says I do when I'm anxious or frustrated.
I wanted to show not all anxious ticks are biting your nails.
I pick at my nails and pick at my lip. I also rock/sway my self unintentionally and a couple other things like pulling/massaging my earlobe.
