One month later

Annie's pov

"Annie can you email king Andrew? I need to... visit." Navi ask me as she types at the computer.

I quickly pull up my email and email the Pure blood kingdoms king, King Andrew.

I quickly type the email and send it. "It is sent."

A smile crosses my face as my phone buzzes. I pick it up smiling even more.

James❤: Hey babe, might be dropping in, in a couple of days for a week. Ready to see you."

I bite my lip as my face flushes. I quickly type in a response and send it.

My computer screen lights up and I quickly check the email.

King Andrew: we are excited to see Queen Navi.

"The king says he is excited to see you." I smile at Navi but she just nods her head as she focuses on her computer screen. Then with out a word she stands and leaves the office.

I breath a sigh of relief. I wait a moment and then shut my laptop and stand and walk out.

I walk down the hall and up the stairs and open the door to my room, I sit down on the bed and let my head fall in my head.

After Navi killed my parents and sister, then burned the house down, I moved in to the castle.

I had mixed feelings about it.

My parents were not at all good parents. Not even decent. My sister, we had our days. We either got along good or hated each other. I honestly don't know my feelings about it, one moment I'm mourning and then the next I just feel neutral. Not exactly numb just, I don't know.

The thing that tears me up the most. Is Navi did it. Navi killed our parents and sister. Burned our childhood house down and laughed about it. I remember it like it was yesterday.

I had just finished setting up my lap top at the desk that used to be Navi's, her desk was now Bains old desk.

The door opens and I catch a smiling Navi, an uneasy feeling erupts in my stomach at the lifeless crystal blue eyes staring at me. The smile that plays with insanity, on her lips.

A giggle escapes her lips as she sits in the corner of my desk.

"So Annie, you're going to live in the castle with me now!" She throws her hands up as another excited giggle leaves her mouth.

I tilt my head, I don't see my mom and dad being okay with this. "What about our parents Navi, I don't see them being okay with that."

Of course I know Navi being Queen they couldn't just say no to her but still.

Navi tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. "You don't have to ever worry about them again."

My eyebrows raise. "Navi what do you mean, just cause I'll be living here doesn't mean I won't see them."

A smirk takes over Navis lips and the insanity smirks with her.

A feeling of dread settles in my stomach.

"Navi what did you do?" I ask in a worried tone.

A giggle escapes Navi again. "Oh Annie, I did us both a favor. I killed them," she shrugs. "They would have killed us anyhow. Mother wanted the crown, she would have killed us both trying to get it."

I suck in a breath at her words. She truly believed what she said. My sister killed them without a hesitation. I don't think my mother would have killed us, my mother was terrible, but she wasn't a killer.

"I burned the house down with them in it, so you'll be staying here! Isn't that exciting?" Navi questions me.

I slowly nod my head, not sure what to say. There were no words to describe learning your sister killed your parents and older sister.

I can't seem to wrap my head around it.

My sister killed, not out of defense.

She killed out of paranoia.

That was a couple days after the royal funeral.

I snap my head to the door as I hear someone knock on it.

"Come in."

The door opens, Riley and Daniel step in closing the door.

"Where is Navi going? She just left in the jet." I pinch the bridge of my nose and let a heavy sigh come from my mouth.

"Pure Blood Kingdom."

"For?" Riley ask folding her arms across her chest as Daniel shuts the door.

"I don't know, she didn't say." I prepare myself for the lecture. Seeing as I was the one closest to Navi, I'm the one supposed to keep an eye on her. Yet it's hard, questioning Navi's every move makes her suspicious, she is already paranoid.

"That's something we need to kinda know isn't it?" Riley asks causing Daniel to nod his head in agreement.

"Yeah well I was starting to worry her, she doesn't like me questioning her every move so I have to pick my battles." I breath heavily. I hope it's nothing bad, Navi has been, unpredictable.

Thankfully she hasn't killed anyone since our parents, though something is brewing, I could feel it. Navi had plans.

I needed to figure out what they were.

"Look you're her best friend, why haven't you tried anything?" I ask looking at Riley.

"Its not part of my personality, Navi knows I never ask questions, if I start asking she will definitely be suspicious." Riley states giving me a shrug.

She has a point, anytime Navi had something going on Riley came in to get her mind off of it.

"I don't know, we will just have to wait and see and hope we are prepared for it." I run my sweaty palms on my jeans.

"Yeah, She called a meeting with the council, it's coming up soon." Daniel rubs the back of his neck, at his words my eyebrows furrow.

"She say what for?" Daniel shakes his head at my question causing a frustrated groan at his words.

"She has to know we are watching her, or else she wouldn't be so secretive." I bite my lip at Daniel's words.

"Or she knows whatever she has planned, we won't approve." Riley states causing us all to tense.

Riley is right, Navi is planning something and none of us are going to like it.

"When is the meeting?" I ask looking at Daniel.

"A couple days." Daniel shrugs, "She didn't say exact."

"Shit," I curse, James is coming in, I'll be spending most of my time in meetings for sure, hopefully these meetings won't last a week.

"What?" Daniel asks as Riley smirks.

"James is coming in isn't he." Riley states matter of factly causing me to blush.

"Tell me Annie." Riley states as she walks to the bed and sits beside me letting her head fall on my shoulders.

"What is it like to fall in love?" Riley teases causing me to blush deeper.

"I'm not in love." I defend.

Though I know its lie, I'm so in love. James is everything, kind, sweet, funny, words could never describe him completely.

"Has he said I love you yet?" Riley states with a wink. I roll my eyes as I push her off of me.

"No, we haven't seen each other much." I shrug a smile glazing my lips.

Butterflies erupt in my stomach at the thought of seeing him again.

So I figured since the prologue is already published to this book in Glitch I'd give you guys the first chapter at least!
