Dust

The room was quiet. all I could hear was the sound of my own breaths. outside in the living world, it was snowing. I didn't care. I slept for a couple of hours but then I woke up, just laying on my bed. I hadn't even changed from my last night's clothes. I couldn't tell how many hours was it that I had just laid down on my side on my bed and just held that red scarf. the red scarf was all I could have now. it was hers and a part of her and even now, it smelled like her a bit.

I hated everything at that moment. I hated the weather, I hated my room, I hated my position but most of all, I hated myself. the only thing I couldn't hate was Robin. I wanted to hate her, I wanted to be so mad that I forget about her. I was pretty mad but I couldn't forget her.

-"Dammit!" I said and punched the pillow. not once or twice, but several times. I panted and looked at the scarf again and help it to my chest. this was the other thing that I couldn't hate. I held it tightly like it was her. I wanted it to be her. I wanted it to be her so I could held her like this and never let her go.

By this time someone knocked on the door.

-"Dust? Dust you in there?" it was Alex. I wanted to tell him to go away, that I wanna be alone. but I didn't.

-"Yeah..." that was all I could say. he opened the door and walked in.

-"what are you doing here? you've been here all morning. and you didn't even come home last night." he said and sat on the bed.

-"We went to her place..."

-"Really?! wow dude! so it finally happened!" he said happily.

-"Yeah it did..." I said.

-"Then why are you droopy mate? it must be great! you finally lost that old virginity of yours!" he chuckled. "so did you tell her?"

-"Yeah she found out..." I sighed.

-"That's just great! I bet it was a lot of trouble for one night."

-"She found out... when she found my wolf on her bed..."

-"What...?" he asked confused. I jumped up angrily.

-"I fucking transformed in sleep!" I said and punched the wall. "And She found me like that!" I said and kept punching the wall until my left knuckle started bleeding and Alex held me back.

-"Easy Dust! Take it easy!" he yelled and held me back while I was panting. "What the hell are you doing?!" he asked. I stayed silent and just stared at the wall. he sat me on bed.

-"Why did you come now? where were you since morning?" I asked panting.

-"I did! I came in and saw you sleeping so I left you alone." he said and went to the bathroom and grabbed a glass of alcohol and a bandage from my cabinet and returned. "this might hurt a little..." he said and poured some alcohol on it. I didn't even flinch.

-"Ok, now tell me what's going on." he said while bandaging my knuckle.

-"I just told you!" I said.

-"Calm down! tell me calmly and from beginning." he said. I took a deep breath.

-"We went skating and everything was fine. I was gonna tell her. but then I got scared and before I knew it, we were kissing. then we went to her place and... spent the night. then at morning I woke up with her scream and realized I was in my wolf form. I had transformed in sleep and didn't even realize it. she panicked and I tried to talk to her."

-"Did she listen?" he asked.

-"Yeah. I told her everything. but she was angry I didn't tell her before and before I knew it, we were fighting and..."

-"And what?" he asked.

-"I said I don't wanna see her again..." he gasped.

-"You Rejected her?!" he asked surprised.

-"I guess so... I said our bond will be broken in a year and she said Fine so I guess we both sort of rejected each other."

-"But... I thought you..."

-"Loved her? yeah I did... but apparently she doesn't." I sighed and looked down.

-"I'm...really sorry buddy." he said and pulled me in a hug. I slowly hugged him back a bit. he pulled back after a couple of seconds. "are you really gonna give her up?"

-"I should have done it sooner. you were right. I got attached." I said and looked at the red scarf. "everyone was right. we were not supposed to be with each other in the first place..." I said.

He looked at me silently for a bit. then he got up and patted me on the shoulder on his way out.

-"Hey by the way Alice and Frost are here. they're leaving in a few minutes. they wanted to see you and talk to you for a bit. if you were in the mood, you can come down and say goodbye." he said. I just stayed silent and headed to the bathroom. I heard the door closing when I got in. I looked at myself in mirror. I didn't even have the energy to punch anything or else I would have punched my reflection. I just washed my face, hoping I would get refreshed.

I went back in the room and laid down on my back and put one hand over my eyes and tried to sleep again. but before I could, my phone started ringing. it was on the coffee table on the other side of room and I couldn't get up so I decided to just let it ring and soon enough it shut off. but before I could close my eyes, it started ringing again. I growled and this time I got up and grabbed it from the table. I didn't care who it was and wanted to turn it off, before I saw the caller ID.

Robin.

I stared at her name for a couple of seconds. I still didn't have a picture for her profile on my phone. the phone kept ringing in my hand and I couldn't dare to pick it up. I didn't know if I wanted to hear what she was gonna say to me. why did she even call me this early? before I could do anything, the call ended again and I saw that the last missed call was also from her. I finally released my breath and walked around the room. I had no idea what to do. and then she called me again.

This time, I picked it up before I could hesitate.

-"Hello?" I said.

-"Oh my God! Finally! Why didn't you pick up the phone?" it wasn't Robin's voice.

-"Lucy? is that you?" I asked.

-"Yeah it's me."

-"What are you doing with Robin's phone?"

-"Listen, is Robin with you?" she asked.

-"Um...no she's not. why do you ask?"

-"I came to her place and she's not here. and the place is a bit messed up and there are claw marks and blood drips on the floor! and she's not here but I found her phone. I didn't want to call the police cause I thought it might not be important but-"

-"Wait, wait." I cut her off. "did you say claw marks?"

-"Yes! and blood drips too." she replied.

-"Shit... hold on I'm coming."

-"Should I call the police?"

-"No! don't call anyone! just lock the doors and stay there! I'm coming!" I hung up and grabbed my coat and ran downstairs. Alice and Frost were at the door, wearing their jackets and Alex was saying goodbye to them with Elsa. they all looked up at the stairs when I ran down.

-"Dust? what are you doing?" Alex asked.

-"I-I think they took her!" I said while putting on my coat.

-"Who took who?" Frost asked.

-"Robin! I think someone broke in her place and took her!"

-"What?! who?" Alex asked.

-"I don't know but I know they were werewolves!" I said and ran out and started running as fast as I could towards the town.
