Jungkook woke up from his nap feeling slightly off.
Koo's Jinnie wasn't laying in bed with him, nor was Gi-gi.
Jungkook frowned, sitting up and looking around his room.
The house was very quiet, and it gave the youngest brother a bad feeling.
"Koo's Jinnie?" He called, sliding off the bed. "Koo's Yoonie?" He padded down the hallway and peered into the living room, which was empty.
He had finished his movie and eaten his pizza and went back upstairs to finish his nap. He thought everyone would be back by the time he woke up, but the house seemed cold and dark.
He hurried down the stairs when there was no reply.
"Joonie?" He asked timidly as he peeked into the kitchen.
But even the pretty boy was no where to be seen.
He spotted the broken cup and gasped. "Ah! Jinnie! Sharps!"
Jinnie had told him that whenever there was broken glass or anything sharp to stay away from it, and Jinnie would pick it up.
"Jinnie!" Jungkook called again, pointing to the danger. "Sharps! Kookie no touch!"
The house was silent.
Jungkook grew uneasy, biting his lower lip as he shifted from foot to foot.
Jinnie told him to always call the police whenever he was in danger, and right now, Jungkook certainly didn't feel safe.
But the landline was in the kitchen. And the broken cup was littered in pieces across the doorway to the kitchen.
He couldn't get to the phone without disobeying Jinnie.
Jungkook plopped down on the carpet and cried.
"Koo's Jinnie! Where Koo's Jinnie? Googie needs helps! Gi-gi! Yoonie! Want Seokgi! Want Joonie! Want Taetae!"
A knock on the door startled him, and he hiccupped, scrubbing his eyes as he stood up.
He pulled back the curtain and peeked at the man standing at the door.
"Kim Namjoon." The man called.
Namjoon? This man knew Joonie?
Jungkook knew he wasn't allowed to open the door for strangers, but if this man knew Joonie then he had to be a friend, right?
He unlocked the door and cautiously opened it, peeking up at the man.
Jimin looked down at the boy. "Hello, do you live here?"
Jungkook nodded. "Live with Jinnie, Yoonie and Joonie."
"Joonie, huh? Namjoon?" Jimin bent down to be more eye level with the boy. "Is he home?"
Jungkook shook his head. "All gones! Kookie woked up from nap all alone! Want Koo's Jinnie!" He sniffed.
Jimin frowned and stood up. He stepped up to the window and peered inside.
There didn't seem to be any signs of a struggle, except for a broken cup on the floor, but Jimin's detective instincts were never wrong.
"What's your name?" He asked the boy.
"Am Googooberry." Jungkook introduced himself.
Jimin had read up on the Min's case and knew this was Jungkook, the mentally stunted youngest brother. After all, once he heard about the tapes being stolen from a different case, the detective had researched that one as well, and found a small link between the two.
"Nice to meet you, my name is Jimin. Can I come inside, Googooberry?" Jimin smiled as he got down to the boys level again.
Jungkook thought about it. He wasn't supposed to let strangers inside, but this man was a good guy, and Jungkook saw his badge, and Jinnie told him to always trust the good guys wearing badges.
He nodded and shuffled aside to let the detective inside.
Jimin entered and went straight to the shattered cup. He pulled out a small plastic bag and dropped a few shards into it. One shard had a smeared red stain on it, and Jimin quickly hid the bag in his pocket.
"Why are you home alone, Kookie?" Jimin asked as he put one hand on his gun, shielding the weapon from the boys view, and also keeping it close in case he needed to pull it out.
Jungkook picked up Seokgi and held her close. "Yoonie said Joonie and him was going to visit TaeTae, but Kookie couldn't come with."
"Taetae?" Jimin faced him. "Dr. Kim Taehyung?"
Namjoon had recently had a doctors appointment, Jimin had learned from the boys mother, and he had confirmed that by visiting the private practice, where the receptionist confirmed it.
His name was the link between the two cases.
"Do you know where Taetae is?" Jimin asked him, wanting to ask the doctor a few questions.
Jungkook nodded. "Tete live close! Kookie have to take medicine."
Taehyung was smart. There was no way he would make any scenes at his own house. Jimin decided to send a few officers to the house just to check, but he knew that the doctor would be someplace else.
But where?
"Does Taetae have another place?" He asked Jungkook.
"Nother place?"
"Yeah, like a home away from home kind of place?"
Jungkook thought about it, then shook his head. "No, but Yoonie does."
"Yoongi?" Jimin was surprised.
"Yah, Kookie snuck away from Tete once." Jungkook giggled at his mischievousness. "Wanted to surprise Yoonie. Saw Yoonie take a pretty boy to a shed in the woods. Then pretty boy came home with Yoonie and now Joonie and Jinnie sou' mates!"
"A shed in the woods?" It was the perfect place to the doctor to finish what he started twelve years ago. "Do you know where it is?"
Jungkook nodded, eager to help. "Kookie can show Jiminie!"
Jimin grabbed his car keys. "Perfect-"
"No." Jungkook shook his head. "Have to walk. Kookie no know roads."
It would take them longer, but Jimin knew he didn't have a choice. Only Jungkook could help him save the boys now.
"Okay." Jimin pocketed the keys, still keeping one hand on his gun.
"Lead the way, little one."
