Yoongi stared at the phone in Namjoon's hand, seeing the messages between him and the unknown texter.

"And you've never called them before?" Yoongi asked, still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that someone out there had reached out to Namjoon and blackmailed him into stalking Yoongi.

Namjoon shook his head. "I forgot all about it, honestly, until now. You kidnapping me and forcing me to help you kind of took all my attention. Which you still have yet to apologize for, by the way."

"Do they know you're the campus killer?" Yoongi asked, wrapping his hands tighter around the drink in his hands.

They were in a coffee shop, wanting a little privacy to talk about this new revelation, and had chosen a table in the back.

Namjoon shrugged, scanning the messages again. "They didn't specify the exact secret they know, but that's my only one."

"What if they don't know? What if they're just assuming you have a secret- because everyone does." Yoongi bit his lower lip. "I mean, it has to be someone you know, right? Because they have your number?"

"Yoongi." Namjoon's voice was deep. "You can find out anyone's number nowadays. We both know the truth- whoever texted me at the start of this somehow knows who I am, and they used it against me to keep tabs on you. And the only person who would want that is the person who killed your parents, because if anyone was to investigate their deaths, it would be you."

Yoongi knew it too, that his parents killer was the one sending those messages, but suddenly he was too scared to want to know the truth.

"Do you think they'll answer?" He whispered, heart pounding.

"Only one way to find out." Namjoon typed the number in and hit call.

-

"Ring ring! Ring ring!"

Jungkook giggled, picking up the plastic toy phone. "Hallow? Am Kookie!"

Seokjin smiled at the cute boy playing, walking past the boys room as he carried a laundry basket full of clothes to wash before Taehyung came over.

-

Jimin reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone which had started vibrating.

He glanced at the caller ID, recognizing the number.

"Fucking finally." He muttered, answering the call.

"Detective Park?" The voice asked.

"Yes?"

"Hoseok called, let me know you were taking over the campus killer case. I have everything ready for you to come take a look at whenever you want to come in."

"Thanks, I'll head over right now." Jimin hung up.

Fucking finally.

-

Hoseok pulled on his clothes, feeling a lot better now that he was on his feet and out of that hospital gown.

A knock on the bathroom door that he was changing in made him look up. "Yes?"

"Sir, your phone is ringing." The nurse called.

"Oh." Hoseok opened the door and grabbed it from her. "Thanks."

He accepted the call. "Hey, mom. Yes, I'm fine. No- you don't need to fly over, I'm leaving the hospital now." He chuckled at the worried woman. "Yes, I'm being careful, I promise."

He grabbed his things as he talked, finally exiting the hospital.

-

Taehyung raised a hand and knocked on the door, patiently waiting for it to open.

A moment later, Seokjin answered it with a kind smile on his face. "Dr. Kim!"

"Jin, how many times do I have to tell you," the man chuckled as he was ushered inside. "Call me Taehyung."

"Sorry," Seokjin apologized as he led the doctor to the kitchen. "I'm just so used to calling you that."

"I don't blame you." Taehyung said as he sat at the table, facing the boy as the oldest Min started making tea for them. "I've been your doctor pretty much ever since you were born."

"We all appreciate it, all you've done for us." Seokjin said, heating up some water in the teapot. "Especially with what you're doing for Jungkook. I don't know why Yoongi would do anything to jeopardize it."

"He just wants to help." Taehyung said assuringly.

"But still, why wouldn't he help in a much safer way? Why mess with someone's medication? And why tie him up? Like, where did that idea even come from?" Seokjin sighed, putting this hand to his forehead as he leaned against the countertop. "I just...don't understand him. At all."

"You're not responsible for his actions." Taehyung consoled. "You put too much on yourself, relax."

"I can't." Seokjin admitted. "I just...Jungkook is always going to need someone to look after him, and it's not like Yoongi is about to step into that role. He loves Jungkook, of course, but I won't be here forever and I worry for when...for when I won't be here. Who will look after him then?"

"Jin, that's so many years into the future. You're in your twenties, not your nineties." Taehyung chuckled. "You never know what will happen between now and tomorrow, let alone so many years into the future."

"You're right." Seokjin turned around when the teapot suddenly came to life, whistling loudly. He pulled it off the stove top and poured some hot water into two mugs. He pulled down a tea box of various flavors, setting the mug and box in front of the doctor. "What flavor would you like?"

Taehyung picked out a chamomile tea bag, and selected a peppermint one for Seokjin. "Here, it helps with stress."

"Thank you." Seokjin was a little bashful as he placed it in his own mug.

"Where is the little Kookie?" Taehyung asked, wrapping his hands around the warm cup.

"Upstairs." Seokjin frowned. "I haven't checked on him in a while, I'll be right back."

Taehyung smiled at how protective the boy was for his little brother, admiring their relationship.

His phone rang, snapping him out of his thoughts. He dug it out of his pockets and checked the caller ID.

"Ugh, spam." He muttered, hanging up.

-

"Googie berry?" Seokjin called as he walked up the stairs, heading to the boys room. "How are you doing, baby?"

He peeked inside Jungkook's bedroom, seeing the youngest Min was playing with his toys on the floor, surrounded by books and drawings as well.

"Am playing." Jungkook explained, bouncing his doll around.

"Do you want any tea?" Seokjin squatted down, running a hand through the boys hair.

Jungkook shook his head. "Where Gi and Joonie?"

"They'll be home soon." Seokjin promised instead, since he didn't know the answer. "Want to take your nap? I bet they'll be home by the time you wake up."

"Sleeps laters." Jungkook said, abandoning his doll to pick up a book.

"Okay baby, just let Jinnie know so you can take your bath before naptime." He kissed his brothers cheek before closing the door behind him as he headed back down to Taehyung.

"How is he?" The doctor asked, sipping his tea.

Seokjin shrugged. "Seems fine. He's playing right now." He grabbed his cup and sat down on the opposite end of the table.

Taehyung nodded. "Good. Has he worked any on the workbooks I gave him? They'll really help with his fine motor skills."

"Somewhat." Seokjin chuckled, sipping his tea. "He works on it for hours sometimes, and other days he won't touch it for a week."

"Would you mind grabbing it for me?" The doctor asked. "I got another one for him but now I'm worried I accidentally got him the same one."

"Of course." Seokjin nodded, eager to oblige.

He stood up, scooting his chair backwards. "Hey- Kookiepie! Can you bring Jinnie your-"

Seokjin was cut off when something hard struck his head, his gasp of pain quickly being silenced as he collapsed to the floor.

He was unconscious before he even hit the tiles.

Taehyung held the handle of the now shattered mug, tossing it aside as he stared down at the boy.

His phone rang.

Pulling it out, he smiled when he saw Namjoon was calling him.
