"Didn't you say you had a friend in the police?" Namjoon asked as they boarded the bus, once again sitting at the very back. "Maybe he could look into this for us, help us out a bit."

There was less people this time around, so they had a bit more freedom to talk.

"Yeah, but he probably won't know anything. He just got hired on the force like five or six years ago- the crash happened twelve years ago, there's probably nothing he can do. And I don't want him to know I'm investigating this. He worries about me, and I don't want him to get in my way." Yoongi said, resting his chin in his hand as he looked out the window. "Seokjin is already in my way enough."

"Be smart about it." Namjoon insisted. "You're lucky enough to have someone in a position of power help us out and you're not even going to use it? Think about it- what can we do on our own? Yin doesn't know the driver and the truck is long gone, where are we supposed to go from here? Your cop friend can look up the case file, give us a new lead."

Yoongi sighed. "I dunno...it could backfire on us. What if there's a corrupt cop in the force and he finds out? What if Hoseok gets hurt because of me?"

"Who said anything about a corrupt cop? Maybe Yin is lying, or maybe the responding officer just mixed up who was at fault by accident. Hoseok will be fine, he's trained and has weapons. We need a new lead, Yoongi. Or else we'll be stuck here with nothing new to go off of." Namjoon pressed, whispering. "And I want to get back to my life as soon as I can, so hurry up and convince him to let you see the tapes."

"Tapes?" Yoongi was confused.

"Yes, stupid. The video footage, security cameras, CCTV, the tapes of that night!" Namjoon huffed. "Every intersection has one. If we can see the crash for ourselves, we can see who was really at fault. If the limo crashed into the truck then we know Yin was lying to save himself and we can verify it was an accident and I can get back to stabbing people."

"And what if we see the truck crash into the limo?" Yoongi raised an eyebrow.

"Then we figure out why it was reported wrong and do what we can to track down the driver." Namjoon leaned back in the seat, crossing his arms over his chest. "And hope it all goes well in the end."
