Seokjin sleepily reached out, fumbling around to turn off his alarm clock.

He knocked it to the floor and groaned, climbing out of bed half asleep to finally grab it and shut it off.

He sighed at the silence and yawned, opening his eyes.

Jungkook had woken up too, and he sat up.

"Goo' mo'nin', Koo's Jinnie." He yawned.

Seokjin smiled, leaning down to press a kiss to the youngest brothers forehead. "Good morning, Jinnie's Koo. What should we have for breakfast?"

"Waffcakes!" Jungkook cheered, arms outstretched for Seokjin to pick him up.

"Waffles and pancakes, what a good idea." Seokjin praised as he carried Jungkook to the bathroom.

After giving him a quick bath and they both brushed their hair and teeth, Seokjin opened the bedroom door to go downstairs, but Jungkook shyly hid behind his sweater, not leaving.

"Ggukkie?" Seokjin frowned. "What's wrong, baby?"

Jungkook blushed, looking down at his toes. "Gi-gi's friend..."

"Namjoon?" Seokjin walked over. "What about him?"

Jungkook blushed harder. "Um...Koo likes Gi-gi's friend."

He tugged on Seokjin's sleeve to have him bend down so he could whisper.

"Thighs."

Seokjin straightened up with a chuckle. "Aw, do you have a crush, Googie?"

Jungkook nodded shyly, pulling his sweater up over his nose.

"Do you want Jinnie to bring you breakfast in bed?" Seokjin asked.

Jungkook nodded again.

Seokjin laughed softly and ruffled Jungkook's freshly washed hair. "Okay, baby."

-

Namjoon woke up early, and he took a few moments to look at his surroundings.

Yoongi's basement.

Their mutual agreement.

Seokjin.

He sat up, ruffing his messy hair with a hand as he swung his legs over the edge of the bed and stood up. With a groan, he stretched his arms above his head and relaxed.

He headed up the steps, a little surprised Yoongi hadn't locked him in the basement. Namjoon was a killer after all, and Yoongi had let him into his house with his unsuspecting family members.

It made Namjoon smirk at how easy it was going to be to get his revenge. Just grab a knife, get Seokjin in a headlock and threaten Yoongi to burn the envelopes or else his older brother would get his throat slit.

Sounds came from the kitchen, and Namjoon headed that way.

Seokjin was flitting around, cooking breakfast, and Namjoon silently leaned against the doorway to watch him, unaware someone was watching him from the top of the stairs.

-

Jungkook squatted at the top of the stairs, heart thumping as he looked Namjoon over.

"Whoa..." He whispered.

He had never seen someone like Namjoon before.

Yoongi and Seokjin were small and pretty, but Namjoon was big and handsome. Jungkook couldn't take his eyes off the boy.

He wanted to grow up and be just like cool, handsome, strong Namjoon.

-

Seokjin closed the fridge door and screamed when he saw someone staring at him from the doorway.

He caught his breath, hand clutching his heart as he realized it was Yoongi's friend. "Oh my God- you scared me!"

Namjoon chuckled, stepping inside the kitchen. "Sorry."

Seokjin looked down at the egg he had dropped and sighed. "Damnit, that was my last one."

"I'll clean it up." Namjoon said, ripping off some paper towels. "It was my fault anyways."

"It wasn't!" Seokjin tried to take the paper towels from him, but Namjoon insisted.

He watched the boy pick up the broken shell and sweep up the yolk with the towel. "Well, do you like pancakes or waffles?"

"I like both." Namjoon smiled as he straightened up. "Trash?"

Seokjin showed him where it was. "I'm making them both, they'll be done soon. Did you want to go wake up Yoongi for me?"

"Sounds good."

Namjoon slid past him, getting close enough to smell Seokjin's shampoo.

Seokjin watched him leave, not seeing the way Namjoon tucked the knife he had stolen out of its wooden holder into his pants in a fluid motion. Only saw how tall and broad and strong and handsome Namjoon was, with his charming dimples and sparkly eyes.

He agreed with Jungkook; he had a crush on Namjoon too.

-

Yoongi rolled over in bed, feeling himself slowly waking up.

He frowned, sensing something wasn't quite right, and opened his eyes.

Namjoon stood over him, a knife in his hand.

His free hand pressed down over Yoongi's mouth, smothering a startled scream.

"Shhh," Namjoon whispered, holding the knife over his own lips like it was a finger. "Breakfast is ready."

Yoongi glared and shoved the hand off him, sitting up. "Real funny."

Namjoon grinned. "How do you sleep so soundly with a killer in your basement?"

"I'm a college student." Yoongi explained, getting up. He looked at the knife. "Put that back."

"No." Namjoon slid it back in his pants, the handle peeking between his tanned hip and his waistband. He hid it with his shirt.

"Whatever, just remember our deal." Yoongi yawned behind his hand.

Namjoon followed him to the bathroom, watching as the smaller boy brushed his teeth. "So what's the plan? The case is twelve years old and you have no new evidence or leads. How exactly do you plan to solve it? Assuming it was even a murder, that is."

Yoongi spat in the sink. "The driver."

"Driver?"

"The limo driver, the one who ran the red light that resulted in the accident." Yoongi nodded. "I finally managed to track him down. It took ages because I never knew what company my parents used that night, so I've called every single one in the whole county. Turns out that escort service shut down after the crash, so it was hard to get any information, but I talked to the former manager and he gave me a record of all the drivers that were on duty that night. I called all of them except one. They all denied having been the one driving that limo that night, and they all had alibi's to prove it. All but one. I haven't called him- we're going to speak to him in person."

Namjoon followed Yoongi back to the bedroom, where Yoongi yanked off his sleep shirt and pulled on a new one. "So we're going to go question him? How did you get his address?"

"You can find anything on the internet." Yoongi shrugged.

"Pretty sure that's illegal."

"Says the murderer."

"We're both criminals, stop talking down at me."

"Or what? You'll stab me?" Yoongi laughed and Namjoon glared.

"Come on, he lives on the other side of town so we gotta get going." Yoongi walked into the hallway.

Namjoon followed, but they both stopped short when they saw Jungkook playing with some toys in the middle of the hall.

"Jungkook- what are you doing?" Yoongi asked.

"Playing." Jungkook replied, scooting the toy car around. "Gi-gi play with Goo!"

"Sorry, I have to go. Tonight we can, though. I promise, Kookie." Yoongi said, kissing the boys hair as he walked by.

Jungkook looked up, cheeks turning pink when he and Namjoon made eye contact. He squeaked and scrambled away to his bedroom, slamming the door shut.

Namjoon raised an eyebrow at the action, but didn't pay much attention to it as he walked down the steps.

Yoongi and Seokjin were in the kitchen.

"What do you mean you'll be out all day? What about school?" The oldest was saying.

"It's for school." Yoongi sighed. "We have to work on our project. I don't know when I'll be back."

"Where are you going?"

"Jin- I'm an adult. Stop treating me like I'm Jungkook."

"Then stop acting like you're his age!"

"Which one?" Yoongi snorted.

Seokjin glared, and Namjoon admired the fire in his eyes.

"I don't like who you're becoming." Seokjin stated, slamming the plate of pancakes to the table. "The Yoongi I know never acts like this."

Yoongi huffed. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I'm just stressed, okay. College is hard and this project is really important."

"You think I'm not stressed?" Seokjin hissed. "I'm the one working two jobs to support us while taking care of you and Jungkook! The medical bills alone are-"

"Then let me get a job to help!" Yoongi flared. "I've said that from day one! I would rather work than be a doctor!"

"You know mom and dad always wanted one of us to be a doctor. I would have loved to be one, but I have to take care of Jungkook. You're so ungrateful, I would love to be in your place."

Yoongi seethed. "Don't tell me what mom and dad wanted. I know more about them than you do."

"And what's that supposed to mean?"

Namjoon stepped in before it could get more heated. "Wow, this all looks amazing! Thank you, Jin."

Seokjin blinked as Namjoon stepped into the room. "Oh, thank you, Joon. Help yourself."

Namjoon did, grabbing a warm waffle off the table.

Yoongi rolled his eyes. "We don't have time for breakfast."

"Yes we do. Don't be ungrateful, Yoon." Namjoon said. "Seokjin spent all this time making this food for you and Jungkook."

Yoongi glared at him, knowing Namjoon had overheard his and Seokjin's argument.

"One waffle, that's all you get." He whispered.

"Or what?" Namjoon smirked, biting into the fluffly waffle. "You'll stab me?"

Jungkook peeked into the kitchen. "Are fighting?"

"Nobody's fighting." Seokjin rushed over. "Come here baby, Jinnie made all your favorites. Eat up before we go to Dr. Kim's."

Yoongi grabbed Namjoon's wrist and yanked him out of the kitchen. "Come on, let's go."

Namjoon let himself get pulled away, shooting a charming wink to a blushing Seokjin as he did.

He took another bite of the food, his mind wandering to his thoughts as Yoongi yanked him along to the bus station.

He wondered if Dr. Kim was the same Dr. Kim that Namjoon had seen a few days ago.
