Recap - Drunken Arjun

Arjun woke up with a hammering headache. He felt as if his head is splitting into pieces. He held his head in his hands and sat up in the couch. He opened his eyes and realised that he has been sleeping in the couch.

He closed his eyes tightly and tried to recall yesterday's happenings until he felt two soft palms on his cheeks.

"Nanna?"

Arjun looked at Nivi and gave her a faint Smile.

"Why are you sleeping here?"she asked. Arjun realised that he was drunk yesterday and Today is Nivis birthday. He cupped his daughters cheeks affectionately and placed a kiss on her forehead

"Happy Birthday Baby.."

Nivi smiled brightly and hugged her father
Arjun felt a lot better in his daughters embrace.

"Thank you nanna"she broke the hug and then noticed the wound in his palm

"Nanna..what happened to you"she caressed his palm.

Arjun noticed Aarohis dupatta around his palm. He felt his head spinning again.

" Aaru di.. "nivis voice brought him back to his sense. Nivi rushed to Aarohi , who just entered the house and hugged her tightly. Aarohi kneeled down and caged her in her arms , showering kisses all over her face , she smiled widely.

"Happy Birthday to My little Angel"

"Thank you..Aaru di.."

They hugged again. Arjun looked at them lovingly. Unknowingly his eyes welled up. Aarohi looked up at him and immediately diverted her gaze. He got up with difficulty and turned to leave

"Aaru di..is that your phone?" Nivi asked pointing at the broken phone. Arjun turned and looked at her.

"Yea..Yeah..baby it just slipped from my hands" Aarohi said. She took Nivi in her arms and walked to the kitchen.

Arjun shrugged it off and walked upstairs to his room. He stood under the shower and the chill water made him feel better. He closed his eyes and tried to recall yesterday's happenings

He knew he was drunk..He drove the car to his house...He met Aarohi..

His head spinned again. He tried his best and finally gave in.

He wiped his face with his palms and recalled how he threw her phone into the floor and it broke into pieces. Arjun opened his eyes wide. Why did he do that? He shut his eyes tightly again

He kissed her..

Arjun opened his eyes immediately and water gushed through his entire body. He gasped and ran his fingers through his wet hair

"What the hell Arjun? Are you out of your mind?"he asked to himself and quickly stepped out from the shower

He walked outside to his room and got dressed. While he was buttoning up Aarohi walked inside.

"Your Tea"she kept the cup on the table and turned to leave. He realised that she's not meeting his eyes

"Ms. Aarohi?"he called and she stopped , without turning towards him

"Are you okay?"he asked stepping closer to her. She nodded without looking at him.

"I should leave Mr. Arjun" she tried to move and he held her wrist. She gulped and shivered.

"When did I come back yesterday?"he asked. She felt her heart thudding and kept mum.

"Ms.Aarohi..?"

"I.. I.. Don't.. Know..please"she took her hands back and rushed outside the room. He stood there bewildered.

Aarohi composed her thudding heart and took a deep breath. She sweated , like nothing. She recalled how they kissed each other yesterday and smacked herself

"What's wrong with you Aarohi? Mr. Arjun..and..you.."

She washed her face and composed herself.

" Aaru di.."Nivi walked inside the kitchen. Aarohi smiled at her

"Yes Darling "

"You told me you have a surprise for me. What is it?" Nivi asked , looking at Aarohi and smiling widely

"Really? When did i?"Aarohi chuckled and Nivi pouted

"Im Angry with you." Nivi turned to go. Aarohi caged her in her arms and lifted her up. She made her sit in the slab. Nivi looked at her and rolled her lips up. Aarohi laughed

"Close your eyes"aarohi said and nivis face brightened

"A gift?"

"A small one"

Nivi closed her eyes tightly. Aarohi looked at her, admiring her cuteness. Nivi slowly opened her right eye and Aarohi chuckled

"Aaru di.."

"Be a good girl and close your eyes"

Nivi nodded and closed her eyes tightly.

"Hm..now open.."

Nivi opened her eyes slowly and opened her mouth in surprise.

"This is what you wanted right?"

"Yayy..my Aaru di..is the best" Nivi hugged her tightly and took teddy bear from her hands

"What will we name him?" Aarohi asked keeping her fingers in her chin. Nivi imitated her

"Lets name him Arjun" Aarohi chuckled

"My poor nanna" Nivi laughed and hugged the teddy close to her heart.

"Btw what did he gift you?" Aarohi asked curiously

"Nanna always gifts me something or the other. Costly gifts Aaru di..i hate it. But this time Aaru di..he gave me a very big frame with my pics. Its so beautiful Aaru di.." Nivi smiled brightly

Arjun came down and saw Aarohi and Nivi busy preparing her birthday cake. Nivi kept licking her fingers which had chocolate all over. She was giggling and laughing with Aarohi. For the first time he saw his daughter smiling genuinely on her birthday. His eyes moistened. And it passed across Aarohi who had chocolate spreaded all over her face. He smiled. Aarohi looked up and saw Arjun staring at her. She felt nervous for the first time feeling his gaze on her. Finally she couldn't take it anymore. She looked up at him and raised her eyebrows. He came back to his sense and pointed his fingers to his cheeks. She looked at him more puzzled. He pointed at his cheeks and then to hers. Aarohi touched her cheeks and saw chocolate in her fingers. She quickly wiped it off with a towel. He smiled and walked upstairs

Once he was out of sight she smiled to herself.

Once the cake was ready Nivi rushed upstairs and dragged Arjun towards the hall. Aarohi was busy decorating the cake. He looked at her surprised

"Cake is ready"she announced happily.

"Yay" nivi looked at the cake and her mouth watered.

"Come on" Aarohi gave the knife to her. Nivi dragged Arjun closer to her. She cut the cake happily and fed Arjun first. His eyes moistened as he ate from his daughter's hands. He dragged her closer and hugged her tightly.

Aarohi smiled looking at them. Nivi took another one and fed Aarohi. Aarohi happily ate from her hands and fed Nivi too.

"Are we late?" They heard a voice behind and saw Raj and Natasha , walking inside.

Nivi smiled brightly and rushed to them. Raj took her in his arms

"You're late darling " Nivi faked anger

"Your darling made it late"Natasha chuckled and Raj glared at her. Nivi giggled.

"Heres your birthday gift" Natasha gave a big box to her and Nivi happily took it.

"Thank You"she smiled widely.

"Wow..A cake? "

Aarohi smiled at Raj. Nivi fed them with her own hands. Aarohi looked around and found Arjun missing. She walked to the corridor and found him standing in a corner.

She realised the he was crying. She took steady steps towards him. He felt her presence and wiped his tears

"Mr. Arjun?"

"Im..alright "he looked at her. She smiled faintly

"Past is a devil Mr. Arjun. Shedding our tears for the past will change nothing. See..right now how happy nivi is. Only that matters..Mr. Arjun. I hope you'll understand " she said and turned to go.

"Ms. Aarohi.?"

She looked at him

"Thank You so much "
