The Day Arjun Met Kavya

Arjun walked through the hospital corridor. His eyes desperately searching for his friend. He was admitted in a ward. As he walked in , he found Ram lying in the bed with heavy bandages in his head.

"Ram?"

Ram opened his eyes and looked at Arjun. He could already see how Arjun is trying to control his anger

"Arjun.. see"

"You didn't even bother to inform me Ram. Business matters were between me and Raghav. Why the hell did he dragged you in this?"Arjun clenched his fists

"I know Arjun..I can understand.. Raghav is extremely dangerous. You know how he's mercilessly killing people. He won't sit back and watch when his company. His business. Is collapsing with in a moment"

Arjun sighed and sat besides him

"How are you feeling?"Arjun asked

"Better"

"He'll regret Ram"

"Arjun. Im really concerned about you. Let it go.  Don't make him more angry. His hold is beyond our control"

"Ram. We aren't doing anything anything wrong. And don't worry. He won't kill me" he said blankly

"Arjun.. he'll definitely try to destroy us"

"Ram. You just don't worry about anything. I'm here know?"

Ram very well knew that Arjun won't step back when he's angry. He silently nodded.

"Take care. Call me if you Need anything"

"Sure"

As Arjun walked outside his eyes fell on the girl , whom he'd collided with few minutes ago. She glared at him and walked away making him grit his teeth again.

Arjun sat in his cabin , completely Engrossed in his work. Time was almost nearing 6. Everyone else had left. He looked at his watch and sighed. He whipped out his phone and dialled Raj's number

"Bro?"

"Where are you?"

"Club. Of course"

"I told you I need my car by evening"

"Arjun. I've promised to my friends that I'll drop them back home. Please brother. Cooperation number 2"

"No way" Arjun yelled

"Please. Please. please."

Arjun disconnected the call and smacked himself for letting Raj use his car. He let out a small laugh. He very Well knew that he can take advantage of Raj in the future.

By 7 he almost packed everything and walked towards the bus stop. Thankfully the bus was half empty. Arjun sat alone staring outside. A smile smile crept over his lips. It's been a long time since he'd travelled in a bus. It took him back to the days were he lead a normal days just like others. Now being a successful business person he hardly gets time for himself.

The bus braked at the City hospital stop. Arjun saw kavya getting into the bus after bidding bye to her colleagues. His frowned and tried to look away.

Kavya noticed him too. She looked at him blankly and took an empty seat.

Chill breeze touched Arjuns cheeks.

" Youre handsome. It doesn't mean that youre great..you angry man"

Her words disturbed him. He got up from his seat and sat besides Kavya. She looked at him and raised her eyebrows

"What?"

"Okay..see. I'm sorry"he said raising his hands halfly.

"Hm..I'm feeling so good to hear that from you" she smiled

"Youre right..I'm an angry man"

"Hehe...you got it right. I like to talk with those people who carry a huge ego with them"

"Oh hello. I don't have much ego. You see. I apologised right. I've never done that before" he said frowning

"See.. atleast you accepted it now"she giggled and he glared at her

"Okay. Im sorry too. Now don't get angry again" she said chuckling. He smiled at her

"Hi..I'm Arjun Devanand. Im a business man"he introduced himself

"Wait wait..Best business man of the year?"she widened her eyes

"To be frank. Yes"he smiled

"I don't believe it"

"Why?"

"Best business man Arjun Devanand travelling in a bus?"she raised her eyebrows

Arjun felt a bit awkward. He cursed Raj under his breath. He had lost his image in front of a beautiful girl

"Ah..yeah. what's wrong in that. You should never forget the way from where you came. It's been a long time since I've travelled in a bus and it feels so good too" Arjun said.

"That's so sweet of you"

He smiled in response

"What about you?"

"I'm Kavya and I'm a doctor. I work in city hospital. I'm happy and healthy"she smiled.

"Great"

"Your family?"

"They live here itself. What about yours?"he asked

"Same"

15mints later Arjun got up since his stop had come.

"So.. We'll meet later?"he asked

"If we are destined to meet. Definitely"she smiled

"Bye. Take care"he smiled back

"Take care Arjun"

He got down from the bus and started walking towards his house. He scratched his nape smiling. Kavya looked outside at him through the window.

"Arjun"she called him out

He turned back and looked at her

"Do you remember me?"she asked making him confuse

"Im kavya Prabhu. Your old friend. Youve proposed me during our high school days "she giggled

Arjun widened his eyes. His heart beat got rapid.

"K.. kavya?" He smiled brightly. She smiled back. The bus started moving. She waved at him and he stood there dumbstruck. It took him few minutes to recover. He smiled to himself in extreme happiness and walked back to his house happier than ever.

ARJUNS POV

I feel like shouting and screaming in happiness. I can't believe that I've bumped into My kavya after all. How did she find me? So she knew me earlier or what? Oh god her thoughts are driving me so crazy. I Remember her clearly. Kavya Prabhu. We weren't childhood friends. When we were on 9th grade our classes shuffled and we both were in the same class. Almost every boy in our class had a crush on her , including me. Kavyas father and nanna were classmates. So we've met each other quite few times. When she came to my class we became good friends. Kavya was so easy to talk. She was good writer as well as a great listener. She was good in studies too. I remember her coming to my house to clear my doubts. Even though I didn't had any doubts , I pretended that I had. She used to explain every single word with so much of dedication.

On a Valentines Day I remember that one of our classmate , Sushant had proposed her and I've punched him.

"Kavya is mine" I had told him.

She came to know about it and questioned me about this. I didn't had any other option other than confessing. For an year she didn't say anything and kept ignoring me. After our 10th grade she shifted to Chennai and studied there later. I tried to contact her , but in vain. .

After all these years I've bumped into her. And I'm surprised how these memories kept Rushing back to me. I quickly freshened up. Raj came to me for apologising. I thanked him instead. Because of him I've met Kavya today. On a Valentines day itself.

I smiled as I opened my Facebook page and typed her name. It didn't took me so long to find her profile

Kavya Prabhu.

There it is. Shall I send her a request? No.. she'll think that I'm a desperate Dumbo. I quickly scroll through her profile

Oh god. She has become more beautiful and gorgeous. I smile at her photos.
I won't let her go again. I had made up my mind. I'll go and meet her Tomorrow.

"If we are destined to meet. Definitely"

I dropped myself in the bed and smiled. I closed my eyes to catch sleep.

And sleep is far away from me
