Recap - Arjun yelling at Nivi , he narrates his first meeting with Kavya

The city yelled in heavy traffic. Drivers started shouting at each other. Others silently waited in traffic. Arjun was one among them. He was lost. In his own thoughts.

Laughter and giggles perked inside his ears. He felt lovely hearing it. Laughter of children. He looked sideways and saw a park. A girl. Standing in between the kids. Her back towards him. He watched her as she turned back, giving the brightest smile to the children.

He saw her.

Aarohi

He felt strange. In between her laughter. She seemed to be enjoying with the kids. Something which he doesn't know. To love. Or to show love. He was deeply disturbed.

Why isn't he like her? Happy... carefree...Why don't he ever try to understand his daughter.?

Questions popped up in his head. He recalled how he shouted at her yesterday.

Nivi rushed outside the classroom as soon as the bell rang. She stopped when she spotted Aarohi waiting under the tree for her. She got a bright smile and rushed to her.

"Hi...Nivi' Aarohi smiled and hugged her as soon as she came to her.

"Hello...Aaru di.."Nivi smiled

"Hm...sounds good haan. You can call me that" Aarohi smiled and took her in her arms. They sat under the tree.

"Nivi...I've something for you" Aarohi said opening her bag.

"Whats it?" Nivi as curiosly

"Here"she gave few choclate packets to her and she beamed in happiness

"Thank you...Aaru dii"

Aarohi smiled.

"Anyway...did you talk to your nanna?"

"Yes Aaru di.."

"Oh..what did he say?"

"He shouted at me Aaru di..but later. He came and hugged me. And even told me a story. My nanna is a very good person Aaru di...I love him a lot"

Aarohi smiled at her

"I can understand Nivi...but is your nanna really an angry bird?"

Nivi nodded. Aarohi sighed

"I can understand Nivi. But see....I lost my parents in my childhood. But I've moved on right? We can't just drool over past all the time. I think your nanna should move in too. Forgetting his past. May be that will help him.. "

"But he's so sad Aaru di.."

"Nivi..you're your nannas present and future. He should concentrate on you. Lest the other things"

"I know Aaru di..i wish he'll change" Nivi said and Aarohi smiled

"He will..I wish I could meet your nanna and say all these things Nivi"

"You can Aaru di... he will come now"

"No Nivi..not now..some other time. I came to pick up Rahul from here"

"Who is Rahul Aaru di..?"

"He's my little brother. Not by blood. By heart."

Nivi smiled at her

"Anyway Nivi..I think I should leave now. We'll meet some other day okay?"

"Will you come?"

"Of course I will" she hugged her again and bid bye to her. A small part of Nivi didn't wanted Aarohi to go.

After few weeks.......

By evening 5pm Arjun was late to pick up Nivi from her school since he had a meeting. He rushed to her school and was in such a hurry

15mints later he reached the school. Almost everyone had left. Few elderly children stood in the corners , probably they had an extra class. Arjun walked to the area where Nivi would be waiting for him. He panicked when he didn't find her.

He walked inside her classroom and she was missing there too. He walked to the staff room to enquire about her to the teachers until his eyes fell on the principals cabin. Two people sat opposite to the principal , talking. He could only see them from behind. One amoung them was a child. He walked inside.

"Nivi?"

"Nanna?"

Nivi turned and looked at him.  He saw a bandage in Nivis forehead.  He rushed to her and sat down , kneeling.  He touched her forehead

"What happened Baby?"he asked

"Relax..Mr. Arjun. Nothing serious. she is fine.. Actually she fought with a boy in her class and he pushed her down.  She fell down.  It is a small bleeding. " The principal said

"How can you just say it's a small bleeding.? You should have informed me and punish that boy for this.. "Arjun shouted

"I'm sorry Mr. Arjun.  We should have informed you.. But just then she came and said not to call anybody " principal said , looking at the Aarohi who sat besides Nivi. She was hell shocked to see a man like him shouting.

Arjun looked at her and their eyes met. She was terrified to see his red shot eyes. For few seconds he recalled that she's the same girl whom he saw in the park.

"Who is she to take decisions of my daughter?" Arjun yelled again

"Mr Arjun.."

"See sir. You've a reputation here. Nivi is my daughter and only i have the rights on her. So...I hope you won't repeat this anymore by hearing a strangers word"he looked at Aarohi. She was annoyed.

The principal nodded. He held her Nivis wrist and walked outside. She silently follwed him.  He walked fast. He was still angry.

"Nanna... slowly" Nivi tried to stop him.

He stopped and looked back at her. She lowered her head

"Nivi... I've already warned you a thousand times..didn't i? And now you're saying that I don't even have the right to know what happened to you. Why didn't you inform me?"he shouted. She looked at the ground without saying anything

"can't you hear me?  Answer me.. now"he yelled again.

When she didn't say anything he raised his hands to hold her little wrists which gave a lot of pain to her

He felt stopped by two hands. He raised his head and saw Aarohi. She pushed him away and stood in front of Nivi. Nivi was terrified and hid behind Aarohi. She wrapped his hands around her.

"Dare you hurt her"she said

"Who the hell are you stop me..? How do you know my daughter?"

"I'm sorry.  I'm no one to interfere in your personal things.  But I know her.  We met only few days before and Im really close to her.. "

"Oh really...you met her only few days before and you think that I don't need to know what's happening in her life"

"I didn't mean that at all. "

He interrupted her

"I'm her father..she's my responsibility"

"Hello Mr. Stop yelling right now. And yes I told to her principal not to call you because your daughter asked me so. She told me that you'll scold her even though the fault isn't hers. I dont want you to scold her"she said

Arjuns face changed suddenly. He flushed with anger rising to its peak.

"How can you be so such cruel to your daughter.  She is a child. She needs love and affection at this age. If you can't give that...you have no right to say that you are her father"she said 

"Who are you to say that. Don't try to teach me. She's my daughter and you're a complete stranger for me..as well as for my daughter" he shouted again.

" Nanna please don't fight with Aaru di.. " Nivi held his hands to stop him.

Arjun looked at her.  He can saw tears in Nivis eyes.  He held her  hands again and walked off from there. 

Nivi turned back to see Aarohi.  Aarohi smiled and gave her a flying kiss to her.  Nivi smiled at her.
