MR. I Got You Brother

The three brothers enter the compound discussing the wild events surrounding them.

"So, my first sired wants to kill you. Yours wants to kill me. You love so hard you're going to die. Makes you regret turning vampires in the first place." Klaus's waves his hand in the air nonchalantly.

"Honestly I'm worried about the women. Olivia has been gone in the wind since she first revealed herself to me and auro-" Gabriel's words die out as the brothers all stare in shock in-front of them.

The cashier from the Jardin Gris shop is laying dead on the floor on a bed made of lavender sprigs. The woman has slashed both of her wrists and has presumably bled out onto the floor.

"Aurora." Gabriel whispers before throwing his hands up in exhaustion. "Never mind that thought, she's here."

Klaus, horrified, races toward the girl to examine the body and finds a letter in her hand. He picks it up and skims it quickly, and its obvious by the look on his face that it isn't good. Klaus stands to his feet before silently handing Elijah the letter, not even looking him in the eyes. Elijah curiously reads the letter aloud for Gabriel's benefit.

"Roses are red, lavender is blue. Come find me before I find you."

The brothers stand in silence for a moment.

"This is becoming too real." Gabriel whispers horrified.

Klaus scowls. "I remember her a better poet."

Elijah groans. "Oh, I wouldn't say that this is lacking in poetry."

"She wants us to find her." Klaus gets up. "Then let's."

Elijah quickly steps ahead of him. "Are you so eager, Niklaus? Last time you even said her name was a thousand years ago, when you told me to never speak it again in your presence."

Gabriel sends him a suspicious glance but otherwise stays silent.
"So, am I to wait as she leaves her little calling-cards all over my home?"

Elijah hesitates looking to the floor. "There's something you should know."

Both brothers hold their breath as they stare at Elijah. Any secret Elijah keeps is usually big. "When Mother seized control of my mind, unleashing those monstrosities that lurk behind the red door...I saw something."

Klaus seems to be hesitant on even knowing, knowing the brothers needed to be United as one for the fight ahead of them.

"Aurora was there." Elijah winces, Gabriel's eyes widen but Klaus seems annoyed. "If you mean to confess a thousand-year-old secret that will divide us after our hard-won reconciliation, then te absolvo, brother there is nothing you could have done involving her that would be worse than what she did to me."

"Please do not dismiss this, Niklaus.." Elijah pleads.

"Nik maybe we should listen." Gabriel urges feeling as though this is important if Elijah is so frantic.

"Whatever it is, it can wait! We have a plate of here-and-now problems, and I mean to clear it.
If it makes you feel any better, we can kill Aurora together! Then neither of us need play her little mind-games ever again, hmm?" Klaus affectionately slaps his shoulder. He then walks out of the compound giving Elijah no time to stop him.

Gabriel steps forward to his brother who's staring at the body on the ground in contemplation. "Talk to me, brother."

"I.." He hesitates. "I think Niklaus should know first."

"Is this something that's going to throw him off his rocker?" Gabriel raises his eyebrow. Elijah wordlessly nods. "Then tell me now so I might be able to prevent or stop him once he's lost it."

"Aurora did not mean to hurt him." Elijah closes his eyes in desperation, desperation for forgiveness. "I compelled her to. I had just found out he killed mother."

Gabriel steps back in shock.

"He will destroy me when he finds out the truth, rightfully so." Elijah admits.

"No." Gabriel denies. "We need to stand as one right now. Nothing else besides the Mikaelson brothers themselves will win this war."

"I do not deserve to be called your brother." Elijah shakes his head. Gabriel stops him by tightly grabbing his wrist. "You have sacrificed, like we all have sacrificed. You have been by our sides for it all. You deserve to be called a Mikaelson as much as the rest of us. A mistake brother. That's what it was. What we all make. He may be angry, but contrary to belief we have all changed. He will not hunt you for centuries, he will not disown you like he would've before. We have stood together against worst, and we will do it again."

Elijah tears up and Gabriel grabs the back of his neck bringing his face toward his own. "When you kidnapped Caroline I was absolutely furious. I wanted to rip your head off your shoulders. But your my brother, against all odds us bunch got each other. You, Kol, Klaus, and Rebekah are my family. We're stuck together for better or for worse. We will be okay brother."

Gabriel opens his door and the first thing he hears is giggling. That brought a tired smile to his face. He could live with the war outside as long as he always came home to this.

Upon entering the living room his eyebrows meet his hairline. "Love?" He questions.

Kol quickly sits up and rips the head band off his forehead but the damage was already done. His face was still covered in what Gabriel assumed was a green face mask of some sort.

"It's not what it looks like, brother." Kol pleads. The last bit of pride leaving his body.

Caroline and Davina giggle as Kol tries to explain himself. Gabriel look toward Caroline who is no doubt the culprit of this entire thing and smirks. "I told you raising him was like having a daughter."

Kol balks. "What!"

Gabriel takes a seat on the couch between Davina and Caroline, bringing them both to cuddle into him. He heaves a long sigh. "What's happened?" Caroline questions. Rubbing his chest in comfort.

"Nothing to worry about love." He brushes off. "I just need you three to stay here, little witch I will need you to place a protection spell around the apartment."

"Dad?" Davina sits up. "Tell us what's going on."

He sighs again, his eyes showing how truly tired he is. "The game has just gotten a lot more complicated. Aurora is back in the picture."

"Aurora?" Kol gasps. "As in Tristians lunatic sister who Klaus loved?"

"Klaus can love?" Davina makes a face. Caroline gives her a scolding look and she holds her hands up in defense.

"Yes." Gabriel ignores Davinas comment though a small part of him found it amusing. "And our brothers will be fighting soon, no doubt. It just feels like everything that can happen is happening before my eyes and there's nothing I can do."

"You can't protect everyone all the time, Gabriel." Caroline tries to soothe.

He shakes his head. "I can protect you three, no matter what. I don't care what happens to me, you three will make it out of this."

"Don't say things like that." Davina argues. "We need you."

"I need you." He protests, giving his daughter a kiss on the forehead. He looks to Caroline's tummy and his face softens. "How's our princess?"

Caroline's face lights up. "Great! Davina and Kol were just talking to her and she was kicking like no tomorrow." Her voice turns into a grumble at the end. "How does this bracelet affect your magic, it's glowing almost always."

Kol and Gabriel exchange a glance but Caroline catches it. "Gabriel." Caroline warns. He sighs for what feels like the hundredth time. "Our princess requires a lot of magic, I probably could if needed but I wouldn't use my magic right now if I can help it. Which I can, and I won't."

Her face becomes one of concern. "Gabriel, you need your magic. Now more than ever."

"I need you." He denies. "And with out that bracelet you'll be done for."

"We'll find another way!" She argues.

"I need to focus on what's in front of us, Care. And that's the prophecy. Remember I'm still a werewolf and original vampire. I will be okay." He tries to soothe.

"Your magic gives you the advantage over the situation. You and your brothers need all of the advantages you can get!" She tries to get him to see reason but he just denies her. "I'll call Bonnie!"

"Bonnie couldn't help when you were in Mystic Falls." He points out.

"Your lives weren't on the line." She continues to argue.

"No yours was which is one hundred percent more important." He stresses.

"I'm going to call her anyway." Caroline stubbornly denies. "It'd be nice to have one of my mystic falls friends here and besides she's just traveling alone now that Elena's gone. And the baby will be here soon."

"Ok." Gabriel agrees.

"Ok." She sighs and slowly stands up with Gabriel's assistance to go call her friend in the bedroom.

Once the coast is clear Kol chuckles. "Did you guys just argue."

"Yes, Kol. We just argued."

"That was the healthiest arguing I've ever seen." He seems amazed. "You two really are soul mates."

"Yeah her and two others apparently." Gabriel scoffs still miffed about the situation.

"But she's the one." Davina urges. "Stay with her."

Gabriel laughs. "Of course I'm staying with her where is this coming from?"

Davina quites down and looks to the ground.

"Davina?" Gabriel questions concerned.

"Losing my mom the first time didn't hurt as much because she was a horrible mother." She pauses. "I don't want to see what it would be like to lose another one that's amazing at being a mother."

Gabriel frowns pulling the girl into his arms. "She's not going anywhere, little witch. She's staying with us, forever."

She nods with a small smile.

"Bonnie will be here in three days!" Caroline squeals as she comes back into the room. "You're going to love her Davina, she's a witch!"

"A Bennett witch at that." Kol remarks, looking to Davina. "She can teach you a thing or two. Her ancestors don't rely on the same type of magic as you. Their power is solely their own."

Davinas eyes light up. "She can teach me magic?"

"She's one of the most powerful witches I've met beside myself." Gabriel confesses. "Her grams was a wonderful woman."

"What happened to her?" Davina questions.

Caroline looks crest fallen. "She died after over using her magic."

"On the bright side..." Kol chuckles. "You're going to be one of the first in history to have the knowledge that you do."

"What do you mean?" She questions confused.

"You have your hands on one of the most powerful witches to ever exists  grimore, your about to meet a Bennett witch, and your from the French quarter coven." He explains.

"Yeah." She looks around at everyone with a far away smile. "I'm lucky to have you all."

Everyone smiles at her, she had no idea how truly adored she was. While they had no idea she was willing to place her life on the line for them.
