Alex POV

I sat there watching my mom read her favorite book. When I started to think of a memory.

*flashback*

Little Alex

I walked into the library and found my mommy reading. Daddy was busy like normal but that was ok. "Mommy want are you reading?" I asked.

She smiled and looked at me. "It's a good book my love." She said.

"Will you read it to me." I asked.

She nodded and patted her lap. Smiling I climbed on and she wrapped her big arms around me. she flipped to the beinging of the book and began to read.

I leaned back against her warm body as she set back against the chair while reading. A lot of the words were big and I didn't understand but having my mommy read to be was the best, but soon my small little eyes couldn't stay open and they closed making me go into a deep sleep.

*End of flashback*

I sat there and looked at my mom. She was reading her favorite book that she read me one time when I was younger. I smiled. "Mommy." I said quietly.

She jumped a little and looked up at me. "Sweetheart I didn't know you were there." She said.

I smiled and looked at her. "I'm sorry mommy." I said. "Will you read to me like you read when I was little?" I asked.

She smiled and patted her lap like she did when I was younger. I smiled and sat on her lap. My mom leaned back in the chair bringing me with her. She flipped to the front of the book and started to read like I was younger again.

I listened to every word and to the sound of her voice as she read to me. It reminded me of when I was younger.

I felt like a child again. I was happy to be on my moms lap in my moms arms. Soon we were half way through the book. I smiled as my mom took a sip of her water then kissed my check. "Do you want to keep going hunny?" She asked.

I nodded. I wanted her to read more but before she could start there was a knock at the door, then it opened reveling Mathew. I looked at him and blushed embarrassment due to sitting on my mothers lap looking like a child.

"Tea time M'lady and Lady Harper." Mathew said wheeling in the tea chart. I didn't move from my mom lap as Mathew gave me my tea and gave my mom her tea cup. "M'lady you have your art lesson soon." I nodded.

I had forgot about my art lesson telling the truth. I nodded though I didn't want to miss it. I really liked my art lesson. I took a sip of my tea and felt refreshed. "Thank you Mathew for the tea." I said.

He nodded. "Anything for you M'lady." He said and let the room.

I sat my tea cup down as my mother did to. Then we went back to reading the book, but every fun doesn't last. I got up off my mother's lap kissing her on her check then went to my art room.

Walking in Mathew had the lesson. I didn't know what we were doing today but Mathew had paper mache and other supplies. We were making something rather cool.

Mathew turned around and saw me and smiled. "Today I thought that we should have a little fun. What's more fun then getting a little messy. Shell we my love." He said.

I looked at when he had on and it was a normal blank tang top. I smiled he looked so normal and so good.

I walked to the table. Mathew looked at me. "Well we shouldn't make something in that it'll get to dirty." He said. I looked at him confused. He pulled out a tank top of my own. He sat it on the chair and helped my change.

Once I was changed. "What are we making Mathew?" I asked.

We looked at each other. "Anything my loves heart wants, but I was thinking lanterns." I smiled.

I liked the sound of lanterns. "Can you teach me how to make lanterns please Mattie?" I asked.

He nodded with a smile and a little chuckle. "Of course my mistress." He said.

He started to teach. I followed his everything step. He explained perfectly each step so that I wouldn't get confused. When I did and started to get frustrated. He kissed me on my check and showed me again until I got it.

I'm so thankful to have Mathew in my life. I loved him.

After we were done we both ended up making two. We put cute little designs on the front.

Of course Mathew's lanterns were more pretty then mine but I liked my second one.

I helped Mathew clean up as we set them a side. I began to think picking up the scraps off the floor.

I sat on my knees as I was in my own little world. I felt a hand on my shoulder getting me out of it. I looked up at Mathew. He Chuckled softly.

"It's all done my love" he said. I looked down to see Mathew had pick the scraps up. I looked at him apologetic. I didn't mean to space out and make him to all the work. Mathew looked at him and smiled. "There's no need to apologies my love." He said helping me up.

I nodded but I still felt bad. "Whats next Mathew?" I asked.

I cuddled into Mathews chest wrapping my arms around him. "I'm sorry Mathew, I don't know why I zoned out. I was thinking about the baby and..."

He cut me off. "There's no need to apologizes Alex I understand, really I do." He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. I felt safe and calm. Being in Mathews arms always made me feel that way, so did my fathers. I smiled.

"What were you thinking?" He questioned.

"I was thinking maybe putting the lanterns that we made in her room." I looked up at him.

"That is a marvelous idea Alex." He smiled, making me smile. He loved the idea, which made me happy. He sat a hand upon my stomach. "Would you like that idea little one?" He asked. We both felt a slight movement. My smile got bigger. "I'll take that as a yes." I looked up at him.

He will make a wonderful father.
