🌟Chapter 8🌟
[Y/n]'s eyes widened in horror. "Izu-chan!" She called as Izuuku was rushed to Recovery Girl. She took a shakily stand and walked as fast as she could...which wasn't that fast due to her pain. Once she made it to Recovery Girl's office, [Y/n] rushed into the room.
"Izu-chan! Izu-chan?!" She called and tripped. Luckily All Might was there to catch her.
"Whoa! Slow down, Young [Y/n]. Young Midoriya is going to be fine. He just needs surgery." All Might said and helped [Y/n] stand up, but [Y/n] was still trembling.
"How could you be so stupid?" [Y/n] said to Izuku with tears in the corner of her eyes.
"I wanted to recognize himself." Izuku said and weakly smiled, "I'm sorry for making you worry." She shot him a glare.
"That reminds me, how were you able to use One-For-All, Young [Y/n]? Even with your Quirk, One-For-All can't be copied. It's only able to be obtained through one user passing their DNA to another." All Might said to [Y/n].
[Y/n] thought for a moment, and Izuku's face flushed a deep red. Then, it hit her, and [Y/n] began to turn a bit red too. "W-we kissed." [Y/n] muttered, looking away shamefully, and All Might spit up blood.
"B-But One-For-All has to willingly be passed. It can't be passed by accident. How is this possible?!" All Might argued.
"I ha-have no clue..." [Y/n] muttered, "I just copied it..."
Soon all of their friends came in, asking questions. "'You're all so noisy." Recovery Girl said.
"Everyone...what about the next match? " Izuku said, weakly.
"Since there was a lot of damage to the stage, they're taking a break to repair it." Iida said.
"That match earlier was scary, Midoriya. What pro's gonna want that?" Mineta asked, and Asui hit him with her tongue.
"I don't like your style of rubbing salt into his wound." She said.
"But it's true." Mineta fired back.
"Be quiet, everyone. I know you're worried, but I got to do surgery now." Recovery Girl said while shooing them out.
"Surgery?!"
[Y/n] slowly limped over to Izuku and placed her forehead on his. "Get better." [Y/n] muttered.
"Yeah. I will." Izuku said, and [Y/n] limped out of the office.
"Mukai-san..." [Y/n] heard and turned to Recovery Girl.
"After the surgery, come back here." She said and pointed at [Y/n]'s medical casts. The cast on her leg was torn from her walking, leaving her probably fractured again. Maybe even more than before.
The cast on [Y/n]'s arm was a little torn, but not as much. [Y/n] nodded. She limped her way down the hall where [Y/n] bumped into Kirishima.
"[Y/n]?! What are you doing still walking around?!" Kirishima asked.
"Recovery Girl...is doing surgery on Izu-chan." [Y/n] said while looking down. She gasped when Kirishima picked her up bridal style.
"Well, you should still get off your feet." Kirishima said and began walking to the waiting room.
[Y/n] stared at her broken cast. "I did it again..." [Y/n] muttered, and Kirishima gave her a confused look. "I...I was more concerned about Izuku that I broke my leg even more. I only came to U.A. because Izuku wanted to get in as well..." She tried to stay stoic, but her tears betrayed her as they rolled down her cheek. "How can I be a hero? I'm nothing."
Kirishima's eyes softened, and he placed his head on top of [Y/n]'s head. "All great heroes start out as side-kicks." Kirishima said, and [Y/n]'s dull eyes widened a bit, "Putting the ones you care about first is the hero's way. Back at the USJ, you protected Midoriya, Bakugo and All Might. You were fearless and pushed yourself to the limit to make sure all of us were okay. That's a hero in my book."
"Thank you..." [Y/n] muttered.
Kirishima set [Y/n] down in a chair in the waiting room. "Thank you and good luck against Kacchan, Eiji-chan." She muttered with a soft smile. Kirishima blushed at his new nickname. "Y-Yeah, thanks." He said and walked out of the room.
[Y/n] was left alone with her thoughts and her worry for her best friend. [Y/n] stood, wincing at the pain. She didn't care if she was in pain. The only thing [Y/n] wanted to do was see Izuku to give her some relief. [Y/n] left and made her way to Recovery Girl's office.
[Y/n]'s eyes widened as she saw the green-haired male walking through the hall. "Izu-chan..." [Y/n] called and rushed over to him then fell to her knees.
"[Y/n]?! What are you doing walking around like that?!" Izuku questioned as he caught her with his right arm and set her down, gently. He kneeled down to her level.
[Y/n] noticed his crooked right hand filled with scars. She entwined his hand in hers. "Your hand..." [Y/n] muttered, and her eyes filled with tears again. She hated this.
"I-It's fine. I'm okay. Please don't...." Izuku said, and [Y/n] brought his hand up to her lips as her tears fell. Izuku's eyes widened a bit.
"I just feel so scared...that something worse could happen to you..." She muttered.
Izuku placed his forehead on hers. "Stop worrying so much. I'm fine, [Y/n]-chan." Izuku said with a smile, and [Y/n] blushed a bit as Izuku stood up, "Come on, I'll take you to Recovery Girl."
[Y/n] nodded. After the two made it to Recovery Girl's office, Izuku had to leave, so [Y/n] could rest. When Recovery Girl kissed [Y/n]'s wounds, she took most of [Y/n]'s stamina and put her to sleep.
~~~
[Y/n] woke up and saw that she was fully healed. "If you leave now, you may be able to make it to the award ceremony." Recovery Girl said, and [Y/n] sat up.
"Thank you very much, and I'm sorry for the trouble." She said while standing up and bowing. [Y/n] left out of the office and made it to the field with her class.
She could see that All Might was already getting out the medals. Katsuki was in First place, Todoroki was in second, and Tokoyami was in third. Katsuki was tied and restrained, which had [Y/n] worried a bit, while yelling at All Might saying that the first-place medal was worthless.
"Well, they were the winners this time. But listen here. Anyone here could have ended up on these podiums. It's just as you saw--Competing! Improving each other! And climbing even further! The next generation of heroes is definitely sprouting! So, I have one more thing to say! Everyone say it with me! Ready! Go-" All Might announced.
"Thanks for your hard work!"
"Plus Ultra!" Everyone was annoyed that All Might said something different from 'Plus Ultra!'
~
That afternoon, all of the students were back in their classroom "Good work. So, there will be no school tomorrow or the day after. I'm sure pro heroes who watched you at the sports festival will want to recruit you, but we'll consolidate everything and announce it when you get back. So, rest and look forward to that." Aizawa-sensei explained.
"Yes, sir!" They responded.
That night, [Y/n] couldn't sleep. Cho said that the villains, who had been taking care of her, had killed her parents.
The thought was bothering [Y/n].
[Y/n] sat at the window, looking aimlessly at the city lights. The wind gently blew [Y/n] hair out of her face.
"Everything going to be alright, [Y/n]. We love you."
[Y/n] felt like she could hear their voices. [Y/n] wiped a stray tear from her eye and brought her knees to her chest. The thought of her parents being killed still lingered in [Y/n]'s mind. Exhaustion finally caught up with [Y/n], and she fell asleep.
~
[Y/n]'s eyes slowly opened to see that she was moved to her bed. Izuku must have moved her to the bed. [Y/n] sighed and rubbed her reddened eyes. She went to take a shower and do her morning routine. After her shower, [Y/n] went to her room.
Suddenly, her phone rang. "Hello?" [Y/n] answered.
"Hello? [Y/n]?" She heard Todoroki's voice. "Could you meet me at the station? I have something to show you."
"Okay?" [Y/n] said, confusingly. [Y/n] hung up and changed into a casual outfit. [Y/n] took the key to the apartment and grabbed her phone. She met Todoroki at the train station. "Sho-chan..." [Y/n] called and the red and white-haired male turned around.
[Y/n] went back to her usual stoic look, but as well as exhausted and a bit sad. "I have a surprise for you." Todoroki said with a small smile and grabbed her hand. This made [Y/n] heart skip.
After their train ride, Todoroki and [Y/n] walked to a mental hospital. Todoroki told [Y/n] to wait near the entrance while he talked to the clerk. He came back and covered her eyes.
"What are you doing, Sho-chan?" [Y/n] asked as he led her somewhere. She heard a door slide open. Todoroki uncovered [Y/n]'s eyes to see that they were in one of the rooms.
[Y/n] saw two women in the room. One was a woman with white hair and grey eyes. She looked a little like Todoroki.
The other woman had [h/c] colored hair and beautiful [e/c] eyes. The second woman's eyes widened, and tears became visible in her eyes.
"[Y/n]?" She said.
"Ma...ma..." [Y/n] muttered. She stood there in disbelief. Like if she touched her mother, she would disappear into a cloud of smoke.
Aiko slowly reached for [Y/n], placing her warm hand on [Y/n]'s cheek as she cried more. "My sweet [Y/n], I-I thought you were dead." Aiko examined [Y/n]'s face. Except for her dull eyes, [Y/n] looked very much alive. Aiko hugged her daughter.
[Y/n] just didn't know what to say. She looked, smelt, and felt exactly how she remembered. Tears filled [Y/n]'s eyes as she gripped tightly onto her mother's shirt and, quietly, sobbed on her shoulder.
After the two calmed down, Aiko introduced her friend. "This is my good friend, Todoroki Rei-san." Aiko said while pointing at the white-haired woman. It must be Todoroki's mother, Rei.
"Oh, I'm sorry. It's very nice to meet you, Mrs. Todoroki." [Y/n] said bowed.
Rei giggled and smiled. "She's just as you described, Aiko. It's nice to meet you." Rei said, "So do you know my Shoto?"
"Sho-chan and I are good friends. We're also in the same class." [Y/n] said.
"Oh! Right, you both entered U.A." Aiko said, and Shoto and [Y/n] nodded.
"And Papa? Where is he?" [Y/n] asked. She needed to know.
Her mother's eyes saddened. "He's...the one who put me." She said, and [Y/n]'s eyes widened.
"Why?" She asked.
"After those villains took you, they erased all the memories of you, so he thought we didn't have a child. I persisted to convince him that we had a child even showed him pictures of us together. He was only convinced that I was crazy, so he put me in here." Her mother explained.
"Oh." Was all [Y/n] could say.
After their visitation, Shoto and [Y/n] walked out of the hospital. "Sho-chan..." [Y/n] called and he turned to her. "Thank you so much." She bowed, deeply, "I...don't know how I was going to carry on believing my parents were died. How could I ever repay you?"
Shoto blushed a bit."....A Date." He muttered.
"Huh?" [Y/n] hummed and looked up at him.
"Let me take you on a date." Shoto clarified.
"Um...okay." [Y/n] muttered.
"Would you like some ice cream?" Todoroki asked, and [Y/n] nodded. He held her hand and led the way.
Little did they know, their mothers were watching them.
Aiko's eyes narrowed as she drank her tea.
"Something wrong, Aiko?" Rei asked.
"They did something to her... Those villains..." Aiko said, gripping her cup tight, her Quirk making the tea boil hot, "She's not my cheerful girl anymore."
"You think he'll be okay with her?" Rei asked, referring to her son.
"He'll be fine. My girl is in there somewhere. She'll take care of him just fine." Aiko said, and Rei smiled. "She's a rare breed." She commented.
"Yeah, she'll light a fuse in him, and he'll recognize what he needs to do. As soon as she recognizes herself." Aiko said.
"I'm just worried about what she'll think of Enji. I don't want their relationship to be torn by him forcing [Y/n] to marry Shoto because of her rare and powerful Quirk." Rei said with her eyes softening, and Aiko handed her some tea.
"Don't worry so much. [Y/n] is sweet and thinks of others' well-being before herself. If Shoto-kun doesn't want to marry her, she won't force it. It's not time to worry." Aiko explained, and Rei smiled.
"You may be right, Aiko, I shouldn't be worrying so much. Shoto is a strong boy." Rei said.
"Of course and with [Y/n] by his side, he'll be fine." Aiko said and they both took a sip of their tea.
"They should be a couple." Rei said.
"Yes, they should." Aiko agreed, immediately after.
