Levi P.O.V

I sighed and snapped my book shut. Maybe I should just go on a week long job, get away from her for a little while. I got up and made my way to the job board.

"Levi!!!" Two voices shouted. I turned and grinned at my team mates. "Hey Jay, Dara." The two girls smiled. Jay had short orange hair that barely reached her chin and Dara's long black hair was styled into a fish tail on top of her head. "Are you looking for a job?" I nodded.

Jay grinned and held up a paper." Well me and Dara were about to go on this one, come with us!" I took it and looked it over. "Find a rare plant at the top of the mountains for a sick man. Sounds easy. Sure why not." they cheered.

I took the flyer to the bar."Hey Morrow! Shadow Gear is going on this one." I handed it to the white haired bartender. He wore simple black pants and an open red vest. He smiled kindly. "Alright. You guys be careful."

I nodded and turned to leave but he stopped me. "Hey has anyone seen Wane?" I shook my head. "No why?" He frowned a little. "He went on his first job alone three days ago. He should have been back already."

I grinned. "I'm sure he's fine. He's a tough little guy. Where did he go? If it's on the way we can check on him if you want."

"That would be great. He- Charlie?" Morrow frowned, looking past me towards the doors. I turned and saw the small white exceed coming through the guild doors. He was alone, which was the first odd thing. He was always with the little dragon slayer.

"Charlie? Wha-" the exceed collapsed and I ran for him. The short black haired Mage reached him first and knelt by him. "Hey, what's wrong?!" she shouted.

As I got closer I could see dark red staining his usually clean fur. There were several others now crowded around us. Charlie was unconscious and his breathing was shallow.

"Gajeel take him to the infirmary." Morrow commanded. The black haired Mage nodded and ran off with Morrow on her heels.

"Where's Wane?" a short black haired girl asked. I looked at her. "We don't know Juliet." She looked frightened. She started for the door but I grabbed her shoulder. "You don't even know where to start. We need to wait for Charlie to wake up." she frowned but nodded.

Gajeel P.O.V

I stood in the infirmary while waiting for Morrow to finish with the exceed. "So what do you think happened?"

Morrow shook his head."Im not sure." We were silent for a few minutes when Charlie started to stir. I hurried to the bed.

"Morrow? Gajeel?" he asked weakly when he saw us. Morrow smiled at him. "Don't worry, your safe." he said. The small exceed tried to get up but Morrow stopped him.

"Please, we have to go after Wane!" He cried. "What happened?" I asked. "We were on our way home... And we were attacked. It all happened so fast.... Everything had gone black and there was a woman's voice. She said the hunt has begun... And then... Wane." The little exceed started to cry.

Morrow pat his head."Hey, he's a Fairy Tail wizard, he will be fine. We will bring him home." the exceed nodded.

We left the infirmary once he had fallen back asleep. "Gajeel, is there any way for you to track Wane?" I thought for a minute.

"It's been too long. Any scent would be gone. But there might be clues or signs of struggle." he nodded. "Take Levi with you. Once Natsu and Luke have made it back I will send them to follow you." I nodded and headed downstairs.

I walked up to the giant blue haired boy and grabbed his collar. "Your coming with me giant." I said and started for the door, dragging him along.
