"Hello darling, are you sitting with me today?" Mel greeted powder before the progress day speech.

"Nope not this year, I'll be sitting with ximena, since Jayce has left us for the stage," powder spun around while her single braid down her back followed her movement fluently. A teasing grin on her face.

"You better hurry dear, councilwoman kiramman is about to start," Mel motioned her to go and powder found her spot that was reserved for them while there was another one next to powder for Viktor to sit.

Everyone clapped when Cassandra walked on stage to introduce Jayce to the stage, powder rolled her eyes at the councilwoman and clapped politely with her legs crossed.

"An inspiration to piltovers future and that of all humanity, please join me in welcoming to the stage, Jayce Talis," Cassandra held her hands in front of her as she moved to the side when Jayce soon walked on the stage in confident steps. Powder leaned over to see Viktor behind stage. She hoped he wasn't still upset with her about her outburst earlier. Or told Jayce..

Powder snorted at Jayce's waves to the crowd as he scanned over the people that applauded for him. Smiling past his nerves when he made it to the podium.

"Uh good evening, I know many of you probably didn't expect to see me here today," Jayce started as he leaned down to the mics to test them out. "And believe me I'm just as shocked as you are,"

"My family and I are simple people, in our factory we made hammers, they were probably used to cut the stones your standing on right now... no one in my life expected very much of me, and that is precisely what makes this moment so extraordinary," Jayce stood tall again when he got into his own speech.

"A few years ago the hexgate opened their own ports in the world and made piltover prosper beyond anything we could ever imagine," he pointed to the building that held their invention of hextech. Everyone cheered again for him.

"But we're not done yet,"

Powder raised a brow curious if her guardian would go against the professor. To show the people what they made for the future. Tilting her head to the side and kept a calm face.

"This year we've created something new for you, something that um.. " Jayce trailed off as he couldn't find the words anymore. He was going off script.

"We'd like to share with you uh when the time is... right," he looked down when he saw powders eyes harden and they both felt disappointment.

"Things that will bring an end to your hardships," Jayce continued but powders stood from her hair. He clearly saw her but continued speaking, shuddering a few times when she made her way to leave.

"Our future is bright," he ended with a fist raised to the air and fire works went off when powder left the room, leaving the doors open.

She spat on the ground and stormed down the stairs, of course he didn't go against the professor but what would heimerdinger truly do if Jayce let the public know?

"Pussy," she scoffed running a hand through her bangs to push them out of her face.

Powder stopped in her tracks as she felt eyes on her. Spinning around narrowing her eyes as she felt an energy down the empty street. Towards the bridge to the undercity.

She hummed a little and followed the instinct, what if it was something dangerous? She could let the officers know but they don't like her in the first place. Powder walked slowly as she pushed her dress up a little and grabbed her gun on her upper thigh that she kept hidden. Clicking it and held it in her dominant hand. Finger over the trigger.

"And what the hell are you doing blue?" A voice scared her and she gasped looking to the side seeing a group of enforcers. As well as Caitlin.

"I-I thought I saw something," powder looked at them then back at the street.

"Yea? Saw something that you need a weapon for?" A male enforcer chuckled and she pursed her lips.

"I'm just a small helpless girl, I have to keep myself safe," powder blinked innocently hiding it behind her back.

"Helpless my ass, I still have the scar from four years ago," a female enforcer snorted and showed her buddy's the scar on her hand from the incident.

They all chuckled but Caitlyn noticed powders face drop again as she was listening to something, the violet hair girl stepped forward to see what was wrong but suddenly they saw two bombs being thrown above at them. Powder spun and shot both of them before they got to close

"There's an attack! Get down!" Caitlyn called as the enforcers grabbed their weapons surprised as powder backed away.

"Blue go! We'll handle this!" She ordered. Powder was still a civilian. Suddenly two bullets flew and shot an enforcer next to Caitlyn.

"Go! Tell the council!" Caitlyn called desperately and powder started to run.

Powder felt the voices start to hiss again in her ears and she panted and bolted down a side alley in case she was being followed. Hiding behind a few crates  and knelt down, pursing her lips and listened for anyone getting to close. Somehow it wasn't fear that clouded her mind. Holding little pow pow as she pressed her back against the cold building.

There was a figure at the end of the alley that stood there, waiting, powders heart pounded in her chest as she stared at whoever that was. She raised her gun to clear her path, she doesn't miss.

Suddenly large hands grabbed her wrist that held her gun, slamming her hand against the wall to make her drop it, powder yelled when she was tossed to the middle of the dark alleyway. Hitting a dirty puddle, staining her white dress. Powder felt the wind knocked out of her as she laid on the floor in shock of the giant man in tattoos.

"No.." she wheezed. Powder reached in her tall boot and threw a smoke bomb in the man's face, staining him neon pink, and rolled over to grab her gun again. Not hesitating to shot him in the chest.

The man cried out holding his wound as powder got back to her feet and ran away once more. Gapping for a breath as she was fast on her feet.

Not realizing her path took her to the docks, where the water splashed against the walls shore. Ten feet below was the ocean. She could see the undercity from there. Powder inhaled a shaky breath trying to figure out where to go. But those undercity gang members found her again.

"There she is! Get her!" A voice shouted and powder snarled shooting back at them as warnings.

"Shit!" Powder screamed when they dodged her blasts.

She was not going to be taken by these monsters that shot the enforcer. Who knows if they killed another when she ran. But she didn't know why they wanted her.

So she did the only thing she could think of. She jumped.

Someone was about to grab her but instead powder leaped over the edge when a hand barely grazed her.

She was ready to hit the water.

But a masked stranger on a green lit hover board zoomed past and caught her. Powder screamed but noticed they didn't take her back to the others. But flew fast away from them.

Caitlyn heard the commotion and saw powder being carried on the board but was going faster than any device she's seen. The two girls locked eyes as cait was shocked at the fear on the younger girls face.

"Caitlyn!" Powder reached for her but they flew high in the air till Caitlyn couldn't see them anymore.

"Help!" She screamed in the distance that haunted the older girls ears.
