➥ 23 ⦙ NEVER ENDING GRIEF

"Okay." They both ended with a sigh.

"Zech said to check the memos," Nadya was anxious as she opened her emails.

Dear Cadets,

Kindly assemble at Head Quarters tomorrow for a confidential meeting. Everyone may or may not be heard——Our Commander passed away due to cardiac arrest. Compulsory for every cadet to show up at 09:00 AM

ELDAR, Deputy Commander of GARC.

Another Memo blinked at the screen.

Dear Batumi Crew members,

Your order and contract for the project will be issued tomorrow at 11:00 AM. Report at the Batumi Site after the Head Quarters meeting as soon as possible.

ELDAR, Deputy Commander of GARC.

Esfir and Nadya refused to bid a good night after figuring out the agenda of tomorrow. They nod at each other before they went in.

Their rooms are separated by one crisp and dark blackish-brown magnificent door study room.

"What kind of professionalism is this? Contract for what? They didn't include this in prior docs," Frustrated Esfir abated on the bed.

"UFF! WHAT IS THE CONTRACT FOR? TO KILL US?" Nadya called out Eldar in her room. He couldn't hear though. The noise made Bum quite frightened but it gradually went back to sleep after knowing that is Nadya venting as usual.

Morning rays entered the screen, An Orange-ish yellow light traveling in Esfir's room and gave her slumber to a much needed halt. She unlocked her mobile, and already 3 missed calls from Zech and Marina..."Lemme fresh up first, geez."

She turned on her regular podcast.

Time is 06:45 AM, it doesn't have any remorse from yesterday. The time will tick and run on its own shamelessly: even after the great war; even after a deadly earthquake; even after a massive volcanic eruption; even after someone's loved ones are dead; even after someone passed away-That's what Time is for you. Time will wait for none. None. Stick to it, otherwise, you'll drown in the past.

The speaker finished, and Esfir completed her brushing.

She dialed Zech.

"Zech, I will be ready before 8." Esfir burbled even without his reply she cut the call.

Zech couldn't lend his ears to this type of stupidity, and let her call go. 'Morning itself she started '

The same happened for Marina. "This suka," Marina yeeted her mobile away.

Nadya right in time, knocked on the door, "Yup, wait." Esfir bolted towards the door.

"Get ready girl, I will make some bread. All supplies will be in the restroom, put on some of my dresses." Nadya greeted her with a coffee at the door.

"Thank you, Devus."
"Short form for a girl?"
Nadya knew Russian as she worked there.

"Yes. By the way, I already washed my palazzo last night, I will mix & match it with your blouses. Thanks for everything. Devus," Esfir answered before sipping the first drop of morning bliss. 'Mmm'

"Okay. Aii, you brushed right?" Nadya looked skeptical.
"Mmm. yeah yeah. Don't disturb me." Unsatisfied Nadya went in to check the brush in the washroom. 'Hmm. good'

"Then, get ready soon," Nadya left.

"Morning Garry!" His mom replied to his warm hug in the morning.

"Deda, I need your special coffee, I'm losing my energy."

She can't deny his cuteness-overloaded pleading, but, "You're 29, Mr. Garry Agapov, still want your deda to make your coffee?" She faked her anger. Garry laughed, "Please, Mom. You'll miss me after today." Mrs. Agapov caressed his head, ' Don't leave me, like your dad.'

"Ahh! One time you'll be angry with him, then one second later, emotional drama. I can't with this family drama." Andrie entered the kitchen.

"Our drama is less compared to your obsidian girl's group drama?"

"What's that? Do we have groups in that name?" Mom asked from the Kitchen stove.

"Nah, Deda. it's some..." Andrei is scanning his mobile in shock, Garry knew something is off. "What?" He inclined further to see-The Article about Commander.

"Deda! Uncle Novikoff died!" Garry shouted.

"What did you...?" She ran to 'em.

"He even visited Nancy at the hospital, last month." Mrs. Agapov couldn't believe it. Her eyes were unclear, teardrops pouring simultaneously.

She went to her late husband's portrait, "Your friend is dead, I hope you two meet in those stars." She cried and yelled at his portrait, both boys encircled her in a half hug.

Before them in a giant metallic photo frame, Mr. Liam Agapov, the Captain of Stenka Missile Sub Marine stood in his uniform. Smiling with pride. He was one of the most famous naval officers of his time in Batumi. He worked for 22 years.

Surrounding his portrait, There are plenty of photo frames. Captain. Liam's photos with his friends in his many expenditures. One can find many officials in these collections. Late Commander is also one of 'em. Especially Commander and Mr. Agapov are college mates, their journey starts there. After Captain Agapov dead, Commander used to visit them in crucial times and special events like Nancy's Wedding, Baby shower, and Agapov boy's Graduation days. But it's ended now.

"I'll talk to Mrs. Novikoff"
Mrs. Agapov called her friend. Garry and Andrei sat silently at the counter. Garry switched off the stove and put his own coffee, but couldn't drink. Andrei watching all this wished to come alive for his mother. "I will make this project and come soon to you, Deda-Your favs Garry & Andrei" Andrei took some notes and wrote. He placed them at the place, where she will sit to write Journal. Like that all those three days, she can see this.

"Andrei, They are doing an official funeral so only officials can see him and so his family. I can't even go."

"Deda, You go and visit her now."
"Yes, I'm going now. But she said she'll hold his funeral after 4 days later." His mom's eyes were already puffed and reddish pink after crying. But grieving never ends, "Andrei, please come back alive. Take care of your brother too." "Deda" She hugged him and cried her heart out. Garry watching them from afar. But he turned towards stairs, headed to his room, he swore, "I'll bring Andrei back to you, Dedo."

Mrs. Agapov shouted, "Garry! Garry." No response.
"Leave him, Dedo. You've to meet Aunt." Nodding her head, she went to her room.

"Why you killed the commander?" a voice creased with concern.

"He's getting on my way," Another person growled. His voice always shows growling sound.

"How? What happened?"

"As the missing cadets are still unfounded."

"Aren't they in our base?"

"They are peacefully working in my dungeons. But I need two more technopaths "

"Tell me your negotiations, I will find the right cadets"
