Leo:

You had one of the worst days of your life. You somehow managed to sleep through your alarm, in turn being late for school. Normally you would walk to school, but today you had to run, and on the way it started pouring. Your thick cotton sweatshirt didn't dry all day, so you felt grossly damp into you got home to change. You had piles of homework to do and as soon as you got that finished your mom came home and yelled at you for being late to school. Normally that wouldn't have been a big deal, but after the day you had, it was the breaking point.

You stormed out of the house. Going on walks always cleared your mind, so you started to make your way around the familiar city blocks near your home. You decided that you were going to head to the gas station one block over to get something to eat or drink, so you began to cut through the alley you were next to.

Normally you would think twice after what happened that one night you got attacked, but you were so angry that you didn't care. Luckily, there was no one in sight, so you had the whole alley to yourself. You started to talk to yourself, thinking about what your mom said to you.

"It's not like I tried to sleep through my alarm," You grumbled. You saw a can in front of you. You felt the urge to kick it, so you did, speeding up so you could properly smash it into the wall to your left. The sound that it made echoed through the alleyway. It was silent after the sound died down, that is, until someone spoke up.

"Careful," The voice warned, "making noise like that, you might draw unwanted attention to yourself."

You didn't even have to look up to know who it was, as you remembered his voice from the night that he saved you, but you looked up to see him looking down at you from the rooftop above.

"It's you."

"Wanna come up here and talk about it."

A few moments later he was helping you crawl up the side of a building, which was pretty crazy, but after what happened today you felt good to be doing something that was both fun and dangerous.

The two of you took a seat on the ledge of the roof, and you proceeded to tell him about your horrible day. He was a great listener, nodding and speaking at just the right times. By the time you were done you were already feeling a lot better.

"I get it," He said, "life sucks."

The way he said it so bluntly made you laugh. "What? Have a bad day too?"

"You couldn't imagine."

He told you about how him and his brother got into a fight. It seemed a lot worse than the one you and your mom had, so you almost felt guilty for complaining about yours.

"I'm sorry that he said those things."

He sighed. "It's fine. He's a hothead so it happens all the time. I'm sorry that your mom yelled at you."

"I'm okay. It wouldn't have bothered me so bad if I wasn't already in a bad mood. You have no idea how bad your day is when you get rained on and have to sit in a damp hoodie all day."

He laughed. "I can only imagine."

From there the two of you spent a few hours talking about life and how it sucks, but you also talked about the good parts too, like good food and your favorite TV shows. You never met someone you related to as much as you did with Leo, which was strange because he was a talking turtle, but that didn't matter, because he was now your friend.

"I hope I can see you again soon." You smiled to him. "This was just what I needed, thank you."

He smiled back. "I think this is what I needed too."

He helped you down the building and to the alley. You said goodnight and shortly after he scaled the building like it was nothing. When he got to the top he turned around to see if you were still there. You smiled and waved at him, and he returned the gesture for a few moments before running off.

Raph:

It was already getting late when you left practice, but my the time you were climbing onto the rooftop you liked to go to it was already getting dark out.

You loved track, but some of the girls there were awful people. You never went after people like the group of three did—trying to pick fights with anyone that even looked at them wrong. Their tempers mixed with your own called for a disaster.

Today you were apparently 'taking the attention of Daunte away from Larissa' which was the knew crush of one of the girls.  You hardly even knew who Daunte was, but you were just too 'attention seeking', so they they had to 'give you a lesson'.

You were a better fighter than all of them, but the three of them took you on at once and knocked you to the ground. You were covered in small cuts and you knew bruises would form on your skin later.

Dang bitches.

You held your head in your hands. You would never let them know that they got to you—you never would let anyone know. Acting tough was something you did to protect yourself, but it didn't mean that you felt like that's who you really were.

"Not so tough after all," A familiar voice said from behind you. You took a deep breath, composing yourself, and whipped around angrily.

"Can it, turtle!"

You could see anger flash in his eyes for a second, but his face softened slightly when he saw your wounds, especially one on your left arm that was still bleeding.

"I can fix up your arm. It doesn't look too good."

"What's in it for you?"

"Shut up and let me fix it."

You didn't say anything but instead looked back forward and glanced at the buildings below. You held your arm out to the side, and you heard him start to head your way. You didn't glance at him when he cleaned and patched up your wound, but you could feel his gaze a few times.

"Thank you," you finally said when he was done.

"Don't mention it."

There was a brief moment of silence between the two of you before he asked you what happened. You didn't want to tell him, as you were sure he would laugh at you, but you decided to anyway. He didn't laugh at you, but listened attentively until the very end.

"So in conclusion," you threw a small pebble you found into the alley below, "those girls are bitches."

"Sounds like it."

It was silent between the two of you once more, but it was a comfortable silence. You felt like you could relate to Raph; his temper was something you noticed from the beginning, but you also knew that he was soft too, just like you were.

"I probably should be going," He said.

You nodded and didn't say anything and continued to stare ahead, but you could see him get up and start to walk away. "Wait—" you turned around to face him—"what's your name?"

"Raphael, but everyone just calls me Raph."

"(Y/n)... see you around, Raph?"

"Yeah, maybe." And in the blink of an eye he was gone.

Donnie:

It was a perfect evening to study up on the rooftops of NYC. You had a big test coming up soon and you had piles of homework and extra study materials to tackle. Distractions came in many forms, but coming to the rooftops always helped keep your mind on track. That was, until a small stick snapped behind you; The building you were on was only a few stories, so a tall tree loomed over your head to your left side. Small sticks and leaves littered the roof.

You turned around to see a familiar face.

"Mr. Turtle," you said with a giggle, remembering that's what you had called him last time.

"H-hi."

"I thought you were supposed to be sneaky, being a ninja and all."

"I am--I just... I was wondering if I should come say hi or not."

His nervousness was really sweet, and you suddenly felt shyer than you did previously. "Well... hi."

"Hi..."

You looked away, unsure what to say.

"What are you studying?"

"Physics and chemistry. Wanna come sit and see?"

The turtle came over slowly and sat down on the other side of the large blanket you had placed on the ground. "I'm Donnie," He said.

"I'm (y/n)."

Your shyness slowly started to fade as soon as Donnie started to ramble about both chemistry and physics. He was really sweet and really just a nerd. He was really just your type of person, as you kind of were like him too in a few ways.

"This was great. You were a big help." You packed up the last of your books.

"No problem."

"I'm sure to have a bit more homework tomorrow. Do you think you could help me then?"

"Yeah-yeah that should work."

"Cool." You smiled. "Good night, Donnie."

"Good night."

You sat on the rooftop for a few more seconds after he left, smiling to yourself. It wasn't often that you lied, but you had just done so to Donnie—you didn't need help with your homework, you just wanted to see him again.

Mikey:

The sun was going down, filling the sky with a beautiful gradient of oranges and reds, and blues that faded to purples. It was the perfect inspiration you needed to get started on your next art piece. You grabbed your bag full of spray paint that you kept under your desk and made your way outside. You had just the place in mind: an alleyway about three blocks from your house.

It was getting dark when you arrived, but that was all right, as the alley was lit up pretty well. This wasn't the first time you had done this--not by far--so you knew that you would have to work quick. You put on your headphones, cranked your favorite music, and began to paint.

Focus for you wasn't easy, but when it came to music and spray painting you found yourself getting into the zone. You were so spaced out that you didn't even notice that someone had approached until they tapped your left shoulder.

You nearly leaped out of your skin. The jolt of shock felt like electricity running through your bones. You got nervous, expecting to see the police there, ready to take you into the station for vandalism. But when you turned around you saw a familiar face, and you couldn't help but smile.

"It's you!" You shouted. You took of your headphones, realizing you were probably being loud.

"The one and only!" He said, causing you to giggle.

"I'm (y/n)." You stuck your hand out. There was paint on your hand; the turtle noticed this, but he didn't seem to mind, because he grabbed your hand and shook it.

"Michelangelo, but everyone just calls me Mikey."

"Michelangelo, I love it."

"(y/n) is pretty cool too!" You smiled at that.

His gaze shifted from you to the mural you were working on. You were working on a sunset city skyline, much like the one that was there before the sun went down. You had painted most of the sky and were starting to work on the buildings, so it wasn't near finished, but Mikey seemed to think it was a masterpiece, because he said: "Whoa! Dudette that looks awesome!"

"You think so?" You asked.

"I know so!"

You smiling, blushing lightly at the compliment. "Do you wanna help me finish it?"

He smiled even brighter than you were. "Really?"

"Yeah of course. Let's call it paying you back for saving my life."

The two of you began to work on the art together. Mikey added more black than you were thinking, as you wanted to have a bright skyline, but when you stepped back and looked at the final project you realized that the black made it appear like night was fading in. You loved it.

"It's way better than I ever imagined. Thank you."

"No problem, dudette. Like a turtle do."

You laughed. "Do you maybe want to do this again some other night?"

He agreed, so the two of you planned to get together in about a week to make another.

"Have a good night, Mikey!" You shouted as he started to scale the fire escape nearby.

"You too, (y/n)!"
