How you meet | Preference
A/n: Hey guys! I've gotten to a weird point in life that even my vacation is busy :/ Sorry about that. I hope you like it!
Just asking, who's your favorite turtle? mine would probably have to be Donnie.
Enjoy~
Leo: It was a late evening when you decided to go for a walk. You were constantly told that walking alone at night wasn't a good idea, but your curiosity always got the best of you, so you explored the city. Nothing bad had ever happened to you, but tonight was different. A gang of thugs had cornered you in an alleyway.
"Please, leave me alone. I don't have any money," you told them, trying to stay calm.
"Girl," the leader of the gang said, "you best give us everything you have or I'll let him have his way." He gestured over to a different member of the gang. He held a large knife in his hand, twirling it in his hand with a large smirk on his face.
"I already told you, I have no money," you pleaded once more.
"Well, that's too bad, I guess."
But he didn't seem very disappointed when he sent the tall man holding the knife at you. You tried to back up, but your back pressed against the brick wall behind you. You closed your eyes in fear as you practically felt the man's breath, which reeked of alcohol.
You honestly thought it might be your end, but someone knocked the man to the ground.
Whoever it was, they were fast. Fast enough to knock the whole gang to the ground in a few short moments. You looked around for the person, but they seemed to have vanished.
"Hello?" You asked, wanting to see if the person who saved you was still there somewhere. "Are you still here?"
Immediately you were answered, the person jumping out of the shadows and into the alley. Still, it was still dark enough that you couldn't see them completely.
"Uh, thank you," You said.
"You're welcome," the voice said. "But are you all right?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," you replied, squinting your eyes to try and see him.
The man seemed to notice this, because he said: "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
"And why's that?" Once again your curiosity took over.
"I'm not exactly a sight for sore eyes, ma'am."
"Just step into the damn light."
The man did as you said, and you immediately gasped.
Standing in front of you was a giant humanoid turtle. He had two swords in his hands. A blue mask wrapped around his head, and even brighter blue eyes.
"Yeah, I told you," he said, seeming a bit saddened by your gasp.
But you weren't scared, you were more interested and thankful. "It doesn't matter how you look. You still saved me."
"I'm Leo." He smiled.
"I'm (y/n)." You returned the smile.
Suddenly his phone went off, causing him to grab it. He looked at the message before looking back at you. "I have to get going. Family problems."
"Oh, okay."
You both stood there awkwardly for a moment. But he eventually said: "I should walk you home, it's getting late—I mean, that's if it's okay."
"Yes, that's fine," you reassured him.
Your talk with him made the walk home go fast, too fast, even if it was a short walk in the first place. You almost didn't want him to leave, but you knew it would be the best, for both of you.
"Well, thanks for saving me, again," you said once more.
"It was nothing, but you're welcome."
"Good night, Leo."
"Good night, (y/n)."
You watched h as he ran off into the city, eventually being swallowed into the shadows of the skyscrapers. As strange as your encounter with a mutant turtle was, you hoped it could happen again.
Raph: It wasn't uncommon for you to take a walk around the city at sundown. Your parents always worried for you, but you knew you could take care of yourself. You had gotten into a few fights before, and always won. It's not like you wanted to get in them, but some girl thought you were trying to mess with her, so she wanted to mess with you. Every time they were unaware to the fact that you had three brothers; two older and one younger, and they taught you how to fight. Sometimes it was to protect them though, as you would to do anything to protect your family.
Those skills cane in handy though. Because right now they were the only thing keeping you alive.
On your walk you had ran into group of people in a dark uniform; head to toe black. They had weird eyeholes that reminded you of the eyes of flies. They held sharp weapons in their hands, and they decided to use them on you.
You managed to defend yourself from them for a few minutes, but more kept coming. You kicked at one's head and were surprised when it flew off, sparks flying in the air around it.
"You're robots? You asked them. But none answered, even the dozens of more that flooded into the empty street you were on.
You almost were at the point of running away. And that's when he came.
Someone jumped down from the rooftop above and started to fight—destroy—the robots. They moved so fast that you could barely catch a glimpse of them. All you could make out was the shiny weapon they were using to stab the robots in the head.
"I could have handled them myself," You said to the person, who was now in the shadows. Even though you acted all tough, you were very thankful for him saving you.
"Oh, could you now?" He taunted. "You're welcome you know, for saving you."
You smirked. "Again, I didn't need saving."
"You know, maybe I shoulda just left you," He said angrily, accidentally walking into the light.
He was a turtle, a giant talking turtle with a red mask, standing out against his bright green eyes. You weren't scared though. You have seen and heard of worse.
"Yeah, go ahead and scream or something. They all do," he said, as you hadn't said anything yet.
You couldn't help but feel a bit saddened by his words, but still, you gave him a hard time. "Are you some kind of frog or something?"
"I'm a turtle. A mutant turtle," He stated.
"Hmm, well, talking turtle, I have things to do and places to be so see-ya." You started to walk away. Only after you walked to the sidewalk you turned back, seeing him still standing there. "Thank you, for saving me and all."
And then you walked away, wondering why you were a bit hesitant to do so in the first place.
Donnie: You happened to loose time quite easily, as you were often so deep in thought other things weren't recognized. You went to the nearby book store and spent some of the money you were saving up from your job. There, you started to read your book, and you lost track of time.
Your parents often got mad when you weren't back by a certain time. So you decided to cut through an alley and make a short cut. But there you ran into the well known gang, the Purple Dragons.
"What are you doing out so late alone, sweetheart?" One of them asked.
"I-" you stuttered awkwardly, "I need to get going."
"Mmm, not yet," he hummed. "How 'bout you stay?"
"No, I should be going," you said once more. But you knew they weren't happy with their answer, because they started to walk towards you.
"One more time. You should—are—staying," he said angrily.
He lunged towards you. The bag with your new book found it's way to his face as you swung it at him, a loud crack sound soon following. You almost smiled at your defeat, but stopped as he lunged at you again.
"Why you-!" He stopped as someone hit him away with a long staff of some sort.
As they fought all of the Purple Dragons, you couldn't help but let your jaw drop as you saw he was a six foot tall turtle. As if his appearance wasn't enough to amaze you, he also knew ninjutsu, and he was good at it.
"Umm, are you all right Miss?" He asked you, breaking you from your thoughts, once again. He must have defeated them without you even noticing.
"Holy crow you can talk—you're a turtle—you do ninjutsu—How is this possible?" You asked him.
"You aren't scared of me?" He asked.
You shook your head. "Why would I be? You saved me."
He smiled. "Well, it's a long story."
"I have time—Wait..." you looked down at your watch, seeing it was way past your curfew. "Oh, crap—I need to go! It was nice meeting you—Uh, ninja turtle? Goodbye!" You shouted, running off towards your apartment.
You hoped you could hear the rest of the story some other day, but right now the only thing you had to worry about was facing your parents.
Mikey: You usually never leave your apartment at night. You knew of the robbers and thugs that were out at night, and you didn't want to risk it. But when strange noises came from the roof next door, you wanted to check it out. Besides, maybe if it was a person you could tell them to knock it off, because they were disturbing your sleep. But if you were being honest with yourself, you weren't going to sleep for another few hours.
So you climbed out of bed, carrying your favorite blanket with you. You took the fire escape stairs up to the roof. Peeking your head over the edge of the building, you saw something you thought you would never see: a giant dog, and a giant fish with robotic legs.
You knew that you should leave them be, you didn't want to get into trouble with them. You're curiosity wanted to stay and find out who they were, and why they were there. But your common sense told you you should leave, so you did.
But not without tripping on your blanket first.
The loud metallic thunk definitely alerted the two of your presence. Turning your head you could see them looking at you.
"Human," one of them growled.
"They probably heard the Shredder's plan. Get her," the other stated.
You grabbed your blanket, ran, and screamed bloody murder. Sprinting wasn't your specialty, but you were doing pretty good. You thought for a moment that you lost them, because it went silent behind you. You turned around, seeing no one. But when you turned back around you were face to face with the two creatures.
You screamed and closed your eyes because of thought this could be your end. But it never came, as someone else rammed into you and pushed you off of the building.
You screamed as you fell, again, thinking this was your end. But it didn't come this time either, because an arm wrapped around you and pulled you towards the person.
The first thing you saw when you opened your eyes was another pair of eyes; baby blue. They seemed so loving, childish, and innocent, you couldn't help but stare into them. You stared into them so intensely that you don't even know he was a giant turtle for a minute.
When you did you nearly screamed, but he held a finger up to his lips. You immediately stayed silent, because you felt like you could trust him.
He threw a chain towards the nearby building. It caught onto it and made you stop from hitting the cement down below. When you hit the ground he pulled the chain before leading you to a dumpster. He pulled you inside, and you almost strained against him, smelling the odor coming from inside of it. But you followed when you realized the two creatures would find you.
You hid in that dark, damp, smelly dumpster for what seemed like years. So when he let you out you gasped for air like a fish out of water.
"Thanks for saving me," You said, turning around to smile at him.
"Like a turtle do," he said. "Anytime, dudette, always there for anyone in need." He started to do some small ninja moves, making you laugh.
"Well, I should be going," you said sadly.
"Oh, okay," he sighed.
"Sorry, boi, but I have too." You started to leave. "Bye."
"Wait!" He called after you, making you look at him. "Why didn't you freak out? Most people do."
"You gave me no reason to," you admitted. "You saved me."
He had the biggest smile on his face. "Okay. See ya around?"
You giggled. "Maybe."
Then you walked away, sadly. You really hoped you could see the sweet turtle again.
.
A/n: Sorry that they're kinda lame, but I hope you liked it anyway!
Feel free to leave a request! I always like getting those!
May we meet again.
