Rykardo sits in the training room of the Footclan Base and he sits in a meditating position his mind deep in meditation. All is silent around Rykardo until a Foot Soldier stalks towards him out of the shadows and quietly sneaks up on him his blade ready to strike. Rykardo senses the ninja's presence and he immediately takes out one of his katanas and the mutant and human lock blades. Rykardo struggled to break free until he spots an opening and smirks a little before sweeping his foot at the Foot Soldier's tripping him and knocked him out with one kick to the head.

More Foot Soldiers come running out of the shadows charging at him and Rykardo immediately glares at them his ocean green eyes slitted in alert. A Foot Soldier tries to take a swing at Rykardo until he ducked underneath it and elbowed him on the stomach knocking him down. The rest of the Foot Soldiers charged at Rykardo and one of them cut him on his shoulder making Rykardo grunt in pain before he continued attacking trying to ignore the pain. Rykardo knocked down the last Foot Soldier standing there panting while blood trickled down from the cut on his shoulder.

"Enough!" A low voice ordered.

Rykardo immediately put his katanas away in their sheathes and faced Shredder who approached him and Rykardo kneeled down to his master while the beaten up Foot Soldiers stood up and left the room while Karai entered standing by Shredder's side with her arms crossed and a serious look on her face.

"I expected much more from you Rykardo, but you've brought yourself into humility by allowing even one scratch on you, when an enemy strikes you make them suffer for your blood loss." Shredder said firmly.

"Yes master, I promise to do better next time." Rykardo replied.

"You will do better now, as punishment you'll be sparring against Karai." Shredder replied.

Rykardo felt himself go frozen in fear knowing that he can't beat Karai but he kept his emotions bottled up and nodded to Shredder before both him and Karai faced each other and took out their weapons both the two ninjas in a battle stance.

"Begin." Shredder ordered.

Karai and Rykardo charged at each other both going into a weapon lock. Rykardo struggled to get an opening from Karai until she smirked at him evily and broke free of the weapon locking and cut Rykardo on his shoulder making him grunt in pain and the cut caused by the Foot Soldier was deeper and more blood came out of it. Rykardo growled at Karai before he continued attacking her both their blades hitting each time one blocked the other.

Karai blocked an attack from Rykardo but Rykardo swiftly knocked Karai's weapon out of her hands and he sweeped his foot at Karai's knocking her down and pointed the blade of his katana at her throat anger written on his face as he glared at her darkly angry that she had humiliated him for the past 16 years.

"Enough!" Shredder ordered sternly.

Rykardo immediately listened and he put his katanas away trying to relax himself from being exhausted from training so much. 'Payback for always humiliating me in front of Master Shredder Karai!' Rykardo thought. He approached Shredder and kneeled down to him feeling nervous about what he's about to say.

"You've proved yourself well Rykardo, you rose up above your humility and defeated your enemy." Shredder said a hint of pride in his voice.

"I was only doing what you've ordered me to do master." Rykardo replied.

"And for that your high ranks have doubled, if you continue this you'll reach to becoming my second in command when you're older." Shredder replied. "As for you daughter, you have been humiliating Rykardo for years but enough is enough, I only hope your defeat taught you that you're no better than anyone else." Shredder said glaring over at Karai.

"Yes father." Karai replied with tension in her voice.

Shredder then exited the training room and Rykardo and Karai exited too. Rykardo sat on the top of Shredder's lair on the rooftop letting the wind blow on his body the breeze making his black bandana tails flap in the wind. Rykardo's ocean green eyes glanced at a distance and he looked down watching the people walking past each other on the sidewalk across the street. Rykardo began to wonder when Shredder will ever send him on a mission but unfortunately he won't let him because of Hamato Yoshi's students running around New York but Shredder only said that they're ninjas and that they escaped from him last year.

"Aren't you even cold?" A female voice asked.

Rykardo looked over seeing Karai standing there and he immediately huffed before looking back at the street.

"Hey I'm sorry about how I've treated you, we'll call it a truce okay?" Karai asked while sitting next to him.

"Fine, just don't try to tease me anymore otherwise you're dad will push me to toughen up again." Rykardo replied sighing.

"You know I've actually seen Yoshi's students up close before." Karai said.

"Really what are they?" Rykardo asked.

"They're like you, mutant turtles." Karai answered.

"W-what?" Rykardo stuttered in surprise. 'There are other mutant turtles out there?' He wondered.

"Hey don't get too excited, one day you'll have to kill them in order to get to Hamato Yoshi." Karai told him.

"Okay, I'll destroy them when I'm ordered to." Rykardo replied.

"Good, we can't afford for father's favorite student to go against the Footclan." Karai said.

"I'm not Shredder's favorite." Rykardo replied.

"Well he often punishes me for bullying you, but it's fine I've gotten used to it." Karai said.

"Then why did you bully me?" Rykardo questioned.

"I was always just trying to get you to toughen up and stand up for yourself but you barely did up until today." Karai answered.

"Then tell me something, why have you been sneaking out of here for the past few months?" Rykardo asked.

"Trying to get one of Yoshi's students to join us by testing him, but he's way too loyal to his master." Karai replied.

"Which one? There are four." Rykardo replied.

"His name's Leo, that's all I'll tell you noisy freak." Karai snapped before storming inside.

Rykardo raised an eyebrow in confusion wondering why she was like that. He shook the thought away and headed back inside to go to bed. 'So one of Yoshi's students is named Leo huh? I need to remember that when Shredder finally sends me out on a mission and hopefully it'll be to go after the turtles because this Leo guy sounds like trouble' Rykardo thought.

~Time skip~

The next day passed and Rykardo headed inside Shredder's throne room before seeing that the door was a bit busted and he ran to it hearing fireworks going off. 'Who the heck is invading us?' Rykardo wondered. He reached the doors only to be seeing Tigerclaw, Shredder, Xever, Karai and some mutant turtle that was being held captive by Tigerclaw but he broke free of his grip and ran off disappearing as quickly as the smoke that was left behind from the fireworks going off.

"What happened in here?" Rykardo asked.

"No time to explain, don't let the turtles escape fools! Go!" Shredder yelled.

With that Karai, Xever, Tigerclaw and Bradford all headed outside to chase after the turtles. Rykardo felt excited and was about to follow them out until he felt Shredder pulling on his shoulder stopping him.

"Not you, you're still not ready yet, you should count yourself lucky that they didn't ambush you along with me." Shredder said firmly.

"The turtles tried to ambush you?" Rykardo questioned.

"Only one of them, but you are not to go after any of them, I may have nearly been able to destroy them last time but they're still dangerous." Shredder replied.

"Even if they'd try to hurt you again, I'll make sure that they have wounds that they won't forget." Rykardo replied in determination to protect the Footclan.

"Save your skills for another time, the time for you to rise up and face them will come soon enough." Shredder told him.

"Yes master." Rykardo replied. 'I still would've at least been able to kill whoever's leader, those guys wouldn't have come here for nothing unless their leader was trapped here' He thought.

Later that night everyone went to sleep and Rykardo stayed up preparing himself to go outside feeling determined to find out which one of Hamato Yoshi's students is leader and take them out to scar the rest of the turtles for life. Rykardo got done preparing and he snuck out of Shredder's lair being very careful to not be heard and he snuck out through an opened window and headed up the fire escape stairs going on top of the rooftop and left. 'I'll be back soon Master Shredder, but no one messes with my clan while I'm around! Leo and his pathetic friends are going to suffer for this!' Rykardo promised himself.

Rykardo jumped across one rooftop then the other running as quietly as he could so that no one would hear him. A few minutes passed and Rykardo could hear strange voices and he followed it until he saw the blue masked turtle on a rooftop with three more. One wore a red mask, the other two wore an orange mask and purple mask. Rykardo immediately hid out of sight listening to what they were saying.

"What were you thinking Leo?! Going after Shredder like that all on your own? You're lucky that we noticed you were missing, otherwise the Footclan would've had a servant behind their walls. Or worse you could've been killed!" The red masked one yelled.

'Ah so the blue one's Leo, perfect, now I know which one I'll be teaching a lesson' Rykardo thought.

"I'm really sorry Raph, I just don't know what got into me." Leo said while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Just don't do that again, okay? We can't afford to lose our big brother and leader." Raph replied.

"Guys we should probably get going, Splinter's going to be worried if we're not home soon." The purple one said.

"Yeah I'm really tired." The orange masked one complained.

"Okay Donnie and Mikey we'll go home." Leo said.

"Yeah since you two can't stop whining like a desperate puppy." Raph teased them.

Rykardo almost snickered at that but it came out as a small snort and alarmed the turtles making them look around. Rykardo quickly hid more in his hiding spot his heart pounding hard inside his chest but his instincts were telling him to kill them now while he still has the chance. 'No, wait until Shredder sends you on that mission to despatch these guys, at least I know their names now' Rykardo thought.

"Come on we'd better go." Leo ordered.

With that all four turtles left and Rykardo smirked at them evily before he headed back to Base planning on how he's going to make Leo suffer for trying to ambush Shredder. Then again a second thought went to him. Rykardo noticed that Leo somehow had the same voice and he kinda looked like him too. The only difference was is that Leo's eyes are fully sapphire blue and Rykardo has a bit of green in his. 'Something tells me that there's some kind of connection between me and Leo, it's so unlikely for him to sound and look like me, unless he's... No come on those guys are your enemies Rykardo! Don't let them get to you!' Rykardo thought.

Rykardo returned to the Footclan base and he immediately snuck inside his bedroom and took off all his gear before going to bed.

~Time skip~

A few weeks passed and Rykardo's skills were getting much better than usual that Shredder had sent in at least 40 Foot soldiers at him during training but Rykardo took all them out within seconds. Rykardo got called for a meeting with Shredder and he headed inside Shredder's throne room and kneeled down to him feeling curious what his master wanted.

"You called master?" Rykardo asked calmly.

"Rykardo, I am very impressed by how you're skills are improving, you've grown to be a very powerful fighter and for that you're finally ready for your mission." Shredder said.

Rykardo felt pride and excitement wash through him and he looked up at Shredder. 'About time! I wonder what it is though' Rykardo thought.

"What is my mission master?" Rykardo asked.

"Your mission is to find a way to get Leonardo and his brothers to trust you, I know that Karai has told you about them being mutant turtles already, but do not grow attached to them they are our enemies and once they fully trust you, you'll bring Leonardo alone and destroy him before his brothers. Your mission is to kill them all one by one, but you'll bring Splinter to me alive." Shredder told him.

"I'll do whatever it takes." Rykardo replied, his excitement suddenly fading a little.

'Okay he wants me to kill them all? But that'll take a long time! And... Just do what he says!' Rykardo thought. With that he left the room to prepare himself for his mission. Rykardo knew that the mission was going to be hard but it was something that he's been training his whole life for, besides Rykardo is powerful he was sure that he could take them. Yet again a part of him was telling him not to destroy Leo and he didn't know why. Rykardo is loyal to the Footclan and he wanted to stay that way but he was still getting second thoughts.
