TCRI (Part 1)

It was nighttime in the city of New York. A helicopter flew over head, momentarily breaking the silence. The helicopter was inhabited by 3 kraang bots, one holding the power cell that the turtles have recently lost. But, in the streets below, the turtles were in the patrol buggy, right on the kraang's tails. "Stay on 'em, Leo! My kraang app's tripping out!" Donnie yelled as he watched the pink dot move around his T-phone screen. "It's picking up the signal from the power cell." Donnie informed. "Again? Last time, that this led up to a burrito in a microwave." Leo doubted. "LEFT!" Donnie yelled. Surprised my the sudden sound, Leo followed the directions automatically, having the buggy swerve into the next street. "LEFT AGAIN!" Donnie yelled out. Leo turned the buggy to the left and then sped down the streets. Donnie looked up to see the kraang helicopter fly father out of sight. "They're getting away! RIGHT!" Donnie screeched. The buggy jolted down the street, on the wrong side.

"Look out!" Raph yelled, with wide eyes. Up ahead, there was a huge truck, honking for the turtles to get out of the way. "LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT RIGHT- AHHH!" Donnie yelled. Leo and Raph pulled the leavers and the buggy's split into 4 different carts. The driver tried to turn out the way, but ended up with their truck on it's side. The turtles whizzed past a homeless man and the pizza delivery boy before combining together again. "Whoo, hoo, hoo, hoo! Yeah! This is more fun than a Shriners parade!" Mikey exclaimed. "What are you saying?" Raph asked with utter confusion. "RIGHT!" Donnie yelled, once again, and Leo followed. Leo's eyes went wide when he saw that there was a dead end. Leo turned the wheel and hit the breaks, making the cart do many dizzying donuts. The turtles screamed out and Donnie accidentally let go of his T-phone. The item flew at the wall and the screen cracked, then shut off. The kraang helicopter flew over head and forever out of sight. "We lost them." Donnie groaned.

With the kraang (I know. I don't usually put the bad guys' POV in this, but I find it too funny not to)

One blue kraang started at an empty compartment, green smog floating around it. The whirring sound of the kraang became louder as two regular walked over to the blue. "I suppose Kraang has once again been foiled by the turtles and failed to retrieve that which kraang was to retrieve." The blue said as he looked over to the 2 others. "Kraang is wrong. Kraang has retrieved it. In kraang's face." One of the plain kraangs boasted as he held of the power cell. "The power cell." The blue kraang 'gasped'. "The power cell." The boasting kraang replied. The blue kraang took the power cell from the plain and turned to the empty compartment. "The power cell." Okay, this getting old. We know you have the power cell. The blue kraang slowly placed it in the compartment and an invisible force make the cell float. The compartment closed and shined a brilliant pink light. Pink electricity sparked off meatal rods that were connected to the top. Pink light started outlining the hexagon tiles of the wall, spreading to ever corner. The lab behind the blue kraang started to power up. And in the very middle were 3 huge cannon like machines that were aimed at the same spot. Kraang started flying around and getting strait to work. All I could say was that, this was bad.
************************************************************************************************************Back with the turtles

"That's it. We're going to see leatherhead." Leo exclaimed. "Uh, l-leatherhead?" Donnie asked, nervously. "He's the one who took the power cell from the kraang. He's the one who might know where to find it." Leo reasoned as he walked over to the buggy. "He's also the one who likes to grab my face and shake me like a rag doll!" Donnie whined. "Ha, good times." Mikey laughed. "Zip it." Donnie snapped. "Oh, come one. He's a pussycat...who likes to grab your face and shake you like a rag doll!" Mikey teased. Donnie went wide eyed, and glared at Mikey with the intensity of a thousand suns. It was almost like a bunch of thunder clouds rolled in, making the sound of thunder and lightning. "Right. Let's move." Mikey said as he cheerfully jogged away from the angered Donnie.
************************************************************************************************************
It the dirty waters of the sewers, the turtles popped their heads out from the 'water'. They panted and coughed, climbing out of the murky liquid. "Who can hold their breath? We can." Mikey cheered. "We wouldn't have had to if you hadn't kept swimming off to pick up trash." Raph said, gesturing of to the...wait, what is that? "On man's trash is another man's treasure." Mikey said as he cuddled with the...thing in his hands. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's everyman's trash." Raph deadpanned. "I'd hate to admit it, but I'd have to agree with Raph on this one. Just because you can hold your breath for a long time, doesn't mean you can hold it forever. I want you to stay safe, bestie." Vixen's voice played through on the waterproof walkie-talkie. Vixen didn't want to go with them because she couldn't hold her breath that long. And when Donnie suggested at he could make her a mask and small oxygen tank, she admitted that the water was plain gross and she wouldn't be caught dead in that sludge. She also preceded to say that if she died and someone tried to throw her body in the sewer water, she would come back to life and levitate away. A low growl was heard and the other looked to the source. "There he is." Leo whispered.

"We don't want to alarm him, so no one make any sudden moves." Leo warned. "Aww. Look how cute." Mikey cooed as he crept closer. Leatherhead roared in his sleep, showing off his impossibly sharp teeth and shutting it back quickly. Mikey screamed and backed past his brothers and into the wall, chuckling nervously. "Who's gonna wake him up?" Donnie asked. They all looked to Mikey, yelled 'not it' and ran away. Mikey looked around at his missing brothers. "Yes, I win!" Mikey celebrated. "Mikey, you do realize that you have to wake leatherhead, right?" Vixen asked. Mikey's eyes went wide and his pupils dilated. Leo pushed his little brother towards the alligator mutant. "Leatherhead...wakey, wakey, eggs and bacy." Mikey whispered as he tapped Leatherhead's arm with his foot. Leatherhead's eyes opened, but the pupils were slits and were covered my his second eye lid. Leatherhead got up and towered over Mikey, growling. Then he roared strait into Mikey's face, Mikey not moving an inch. "Can we make sudden moves now?" Donnie asked.

Leatherhead started running, Mikey ducking past him to the right. Donnie screamed as Leatherhead grabbed Donnie by the face. Leatherhead waved Donnie up and down as he continued to screech. "He's grabbing me by the face again!" Leatherhead roared, knocking Leo and Raph back into the sewer water. "Leatherhead! Don't" Mikey yelled, but was whipped back my Leatherhead's tail. "He must be having a nightmare." Mikey deduced. "That makes two of us!" Donnie yelled as he was tossed about. He was thrown to the other side of the sewer pass and landed flat on the wall. Raph watched his brother get thrown, but looked up just in time to dodge the incoming attack from Leatherhead's tail. Raph jumped on Leatherhead's back, and the alligator reached behind himself to grab the red masked turtle. "He's your friend, Mikey. What do we do?" Raph asked. "Rub his belly. He likes that." Mikey informed. "What are you saying?" Raph asked. Leather head backed up and crushed Raph between his body and the wall. Right as Leo got out the water, he was smacked back in the huge tail. "Leatherhead!" Mikey yelled to get his rampaging friend's attention. "Come on, dude. It's Michelangelo. Turn off the crazy eyes, buddy." Mikey pleaded.

Leatherhead jumped up and crawled on the ceiling pipes and down the wall. He grabbed Mikey with one hands and roared in his face again. He raised his had, having 4 sharp claws, ready to scratch Mikey. Mikey whimpered a little before Leatherhead's finally napped out of his daze. He held his pounding head. "Michelangelo?" He asked. He looked around to see the other turtles recovering. "My friends. Oh no. I got angry again, didn't I?" Leatherhead asked with guilt. "Yes, you did it again! Why do you keep grabbing my face? What is wrong with my face?" Donnie whined. "Would you like the list alphabetically, or in descending order of grossness?" Raph asked sarcastically, wringing out the 'water' from his mask tails. "I am sorry. You are my friends. Wait, where is Vixen? Did I..." "Sorry guys, I had to get some food. What did I miss?" "Vixen, my friend, you are okay." Leatherhead cheered. "Hey Leatherhead! How are you?" "I got angry again, and when I didn't see you I was worried I had done something horrible." "Aw, it's okay. Raph get's angry too, but were working on it." Vixen laughed.

"I am glad to hear from you again, my friends. The only ones I can truly trust. That's why I gave you the power cell for safe keeping."" Leatherhead praised. Raph and Mikey looked at each other, then to the ground. "Yeah, uh, we, um, it's- uh, you tell him." Donnie stammered as he hid behind Leo. "Uh...about that.." Leo dragged on. "Funny story. Ture story." Mikey added. "But, before we tell it, why don't you sit down? And I -and my face- will take one big step backwards." Donnie said as he took 4 steps back. "Okay, go ahead." Donnie said as he was sure he was out of face grabbing range. "Well, about the power cell. We sort of lost it..." Leo explained, with a calm yet frightened voice that was losing wind. Leatherhead growled and he crazy eyes turned on, Raph and Mikey taking steps back. "...To the kraang." Leo jumped into the waters after finishing his sentence. Leatherhead roared and advance to the person directly in front of him. Donnie -and his face. "Oh, no, no!" Donnie yelled as he face as captured once more.

Leatherhead slammed Donnie to the ground, and Donnie had seemed to give up on life at that very moment, only whimpering and crying. Leatherhead blinked and calmed himself, lifting Donnie back up. "No, Leatherhead. These are your friends." He said to himself. Donnie muffled and 'Mm-hmm' Leatherhead sighed and paced Donnie down, Donnie whimpering in relief. Leatherhead grabbed Donnie's cheek and started pulling on it. "Obviously, you did everything you could to protect it." Leatherhead said, letting go of Donnie's cheek. "Well, toy be honest, I wasn't-" Raph slapped his hand over Mikey's mouth. "Yes, that's exactly what happened." Raph lied. "Leatherhead, we need to get it back." Leo proclaimed. With the power cell, the kraang can open the portal to dimension X, and when it opens-" Leatherhead was interrupted by Donnie. "They can use it to bring anything from their home here." Donnie analyzed. "Things so horrible they terrify even me." Leatherhead concluded. "We need to keep that portal from opening. Can you tell us where it is?" Leo asked. "All I remember is this." Leatherhead started scratching hexagons into the tiles of the floor. Donnie took a picture and the turtles left for the lair.
************************************************************************************************************

"I know I've seen this symbol. It's so familiar." Donnie said as he compared the kraang symbol of his phone, the mutagen container and on metalhead. The 4 turtles and Vixen crowded around, trying to remember. "The Olympics!" Mikey exclaimed. "No." Donnie answered. "I got it! The Olympics!" Mikey repeated. "Stop guessing." Donnie said. "Obviously, it's a kraang symbol." Donnie finished. "But from where?" Leo asked. "The Olympics!" "Quit it!" Donnie yelled as the other jumped back, Mikey latching onto Raph, and Raph holding him up. "There's something here, and I can figure it out, if you'll all just go away and let me think!" Donnie yelled as he looked back at the symbols. Raph walked towards the door of the lab, still holding Mikey. Vixen and Leo walked to the subway entrance and walked out. "Oh. The Olympics?" Sensei said as he walked in. "For the hundredth-I-ugh! It's driving me crazy. I know I've seen this somewhere else, but I just can't remember." Donnie ranted to his father.

Sensei placed his hand on Donnie's shoulder. "You must calm your mind and wait. You are ninja, Donatello. The word nin- means patience and perseverance. Deep breath. Breathe." Sensei instructed "Okay, okay." Donnie breathed out and started to clear his mind, cleansing him from all pervious thoughts. "I'm calming-GOT IT!" Donnie shouted as he remembered what he was searching his brain for. He ran out the lab to tell his brothers and Vixen about what he found. Master Splinter started after his son, impressed at how easy it was.
************************************************************************************************************A rat scurried down a fire escape, and above the buildings, the turtles and Vixen were following a hyper active Donnie. "Donnie, hold on!" Leo shouted. "Just hurry up!" Donnie shouted back. "I hate when he's like this." Raph commented. "You hate almost everything." Vixen said as she rolled her eyes. Donnie finally stopped at a rooftop. "I figured out where else I've seen this." Donnie said as he held his T-phone up, with the picture on display. "Where?" Leo asked. Donnie pulled down the phone to reveal a tall building. "T.C.R.I.?" Leo exclaimed with surprise. "Oh, I should have known! Techno Cosmic Research Industries? Pssh! More like Techno Central for Robo-alien Invasions" Vixen scoffed. "They're behind the kraang plot?" Raph asked. "The invasion?" Leo asked. "The Olympics?" Mikey smiled as he started jogging in place. Raph smacked him and Mikey yelped as he held his head. "What was that?" Mikey asked his older brother. "A new Olympic event." Raph answered sarcastically. Mikey had a slight blush on his face. He pouted and gave Raph an angry look."They've been in plain sight thr whole time. We just never realized it." Donnie continued. "I think it's pretty obvious what we have to do. We're going in and taking down that portal." Leo said.
************************************************************************************************************An alarm clock was attached to a few sticks of TNT, and was making a rhythmic beeping sound. Donnie had made a bomb that they would use to blow the portal up. Donnie stared at the bomb, thinking of where to adjust without setting it off, when Mikey popped out of nowhere. "Can I touch that?" Mikey asked. "Sure..." Donnie answered and Mikey started reaching in. "...If you want to blow us and the whole lair to pieces." Donnie finished. Mikey went wide eyed and then shrunk back. "Nah, I'm good." He whimpered. "I managed to download the blueprints for the T.C.R.I." April said as she pointed to the blueprint on the table. Vixen, Sensei, and Leo were listening closely, while Raph sat on the opposite side of the table, bored. "Now, the bottom 2/3s are just a normal office building, and from what I can tell, normal humans work there." "Imagine if they knew who they were working for. The ones who are working for this place must punch the card that is known as the time card in the clock that is known as the clock of time." Leo said, imitating the kraang. Vixen, Sensei and April just started at him. Leo chuckled nervously. "Sorry. Where were we?" Leo said as he looked back at the blueprint.

"We were just establishing that blowing up the whole building is now out the question. Unemployment rates are already too high." Vixen mumbled as she played with the knife that she took from the Murikami mission. "Hmm. What about the upper floors?" Sensei asked. "Well, that's the thing. The top 1/3 is completely blank." April answered. "Whatever they built up there, they didn't want anyone to know about it." Leo said as he pointed to the top floors with a small knife. They he slipped it back into his hand wrappings. Hidden from everyone. "Which mean that is exactly where you have to go." Sensei imputed. Donnie was fixing the boom, while Mikey watched. Raph came out behind them and yelled, "Boom!" The two screamed and fell to the floor, thinking the bomb went off, but got made when they heard Raph laughing. The two got up and glared at Raph. You could see the veins popping out of their heads. "Watch it, fool." Mikey warned. "First, we need to figure out how to get past security in the lobby." Leo said. "Tricky. It's not like we can just pack you in a box and send it special delivery." April thought aloud. Leo and Vixen's eyes widened and Leo hummed in though. "Or can we?" Vixen smirked. "You thinking what I'm thinking." Leo asked with a smirk. "Only if your thinking we need some heavy artillery." Vixen replied, and the two of them fist bumped. April and Splinted looked to the two, wondering what was going on in their minds.
************************************************************************************************************
In the lobby of T.C.R.I, a kraang bot, the same design as the one who tried to take April, worked on the computer. The doors slid open and a large box was being pushed in on a cart. April was behind it, with her pizza guy disguise on so none of the bots would recognize her. "Special delivery." She grunted, and the kraang bot looked to her, confused. April unwounded her orange yo-yo and used it to open the elevator doors. She caught the toy and let go of the cart, letting it roll itself. "Good luck, guys." April whispered as the box landed in the elevator and the doors closed. "I must ask you to leave. We are closed right now." The kraang boy said as she grabbed April's arm. April tried to pull out of her grasp, but she was too strong. Two more kraang came out, and they had huge blasters. "The package that is delivered to us by you will not be delivered by you to us because you will be stopped by us before you-" April interrupted the kraang bot. "Love yo chat, but I gotta run!" She yelled. She took a picture of the kraang lady, with the flash on, making her let go to sheild her eyes. Then she unwounded her yo-yo, and spun it in a huge circle to make the others back off. She grabbed it and ran out the door. The gate was going down and she slid under it, right in time, then she ran away. "Open with care, Kraang chumps." She yelled.

One kraang bot pressed the button to the elevator, waiting for the box to come back down. "Kraang, prepare to destroy the thing that is needing to be destroyed by kraang." The kraangs fired up their blasters and waited for the doors to slide open. The elevator dinged and the doors slid open, revealing the box. Then Leatherhead popped out the frail cardboard, roaring. The kraang started blasting him, but there was no effect. He ripped through the metal menaces like tissue, as the bot disguised at a lady repeated 'contain him', over and over. In the elevator shaft, Leo just climbed through the hole, followed by Raph, then Vixen. "I kind of feel bad leaving Leatherhead down there." Mikey whined. "I kind of feel bad leaving the kraang down there with leatherhead." Vixen replied. A loud roar sounded and glass shattered. "I think he'll be fine." Leo smirked. "So, how far to the top?" Raph asked, and they all looked up to see the endless cords, vanishing into darkness. "Yikes." He mumbled. "Yeah, I don't think I'll be able to climb that." Vixen deadpanned.

"I hate everything about this." Vixen scowled. She held onto Leo's neck, her legs wrapped onto waist as he and his brothers scaled the elevator shaft. "Am I holding on too tight? Am I too heavy?" She asked. "Nope. Light as a feather." Leo replied. "Highly doubt it, but okay." She said as she rolled her eyes. "What? You think you're too heavy for me?" Leo smirked. "No, I just think that with me being taller than you, I'd be a little more than you could handle." She replied. "Yeah, well-" "Leo, great to see your over Karai so quickly, but would you two stop flirting? We don't need another Donnie." Raph snapped. "Hey!" Donnie shouted. Vixen stuck her tongue out and Leo's cheeks went red with embarrassment. "I'm not- I don't - we're- ugh, forget it." He sighed as he continued to climb. Mikey was cheerfully humming a familiar tune. "Are you...humming the Olympics theme?" Donnie asked as he stopped climbing. "It seemed appropriate." Mikey replied. Raph growled. "Pipe down, you two." He whisper-yelled. He climbed to the door and pried it open, only to see many kraang bots getting 'dressed' in their human suits. (That sounds weird). They're head snapped to him and he screamed, letting the door close, and pressing his shell on the doors. "I gotta wash my eyes.." An alarm started blaring. "That's bad." Raph stated. "All right?" Mikey cheered. "What?" Leo asked, Vixen dangling over the huge gap by his neck and shoulders. (Leo! Be more careful!) "Finally, someone set off an alarm, and it wasn't me." He smirked.

The door above them opened and a kraang bot started shooting at them. Raph jumped out the way of the blasts and the other followed his lead. Vixen's head slammed onto the metal walls. "Hey! Watch where you're jumping!" She yelled. "Sorry." Leo said sheepishly. Mikey flipped onto the wall and grabbed his chain, wrapping it around the bot and pulling it down. As the kraang fell, Vixen grapped the blaster. "Oh! Darn it. Forgot to say 'see you next fall.' Ah, next elevator shaft fight." He shrugged off. The box cart started it's way up with 4 kraang standing on the roof. They started blasting at the turtles. Vixen grabbed onto the cord, letting go of Leo and started blasting them back. The turtles jumped down and started the fight. Donnie jumped on top of one and knocked another down. Leo jumped on one as well, followed by Raph. Mikey gave one an uppercut with his chucks, Donnie jabbed at another, then finally knocking it down for good. Mikey was swinging his nunchucks and the kraang threw a punch. Mikey dodged and hit the kraang three time before it went down. Raph threw his Sai through the head of a bot and kicked it to the wall, where it was stuck between the small space between the wall and the cart for a while before shutting down. Leo was swinging at a bot and finally cut the head off. Leo walked back to his brothers and took a deep breath out. The elevator has reached the point of where they dropped off and Vixen stepped onto the roof.

"Okay, let's get inside, where it's safe." He said. Raph opened the door, and inside, a bunch of Kraang bots looked up at the 5 teens. They all screamed, and Donnie slammed the door closed right before they stated shooting. "I gotta stop saying things like that." Leo panted. Vixen opened the door and dropped a smoke bomb, while Donnie temporarily cut the power. The turtles swooped in, defeating the last bots. Vixen turned the power back on and jumped in. "Can we please just ride this thing to the top now?" Raph asked. Donnie tried pressing the button, but it didn't work. "We can't. There's a retinal scanner." He said. "I'm on it." Raph took the kraang head from Mikey, and pushed him down. But Mikey was caught by Vixen. Raph pressed the kraang head to the scanner and it beeped. "That which is known as access is granted to Kraang." I said. The elevator beeped as it went up the next 11 floors. "Hey, this is so much easier." Mikey chimed. "Yeah, finally, a chance to catch our breath." Raph sighed. The elevator beeped and the teens readied themselves, but nothing to prepare them from the green smog the poured in when the doors opened. They started chocking, as they couldn't breath. The gas burned their lungs. "Poison gas." Leo coughed and the teen sank to their knees. (Breathing in the chemicals). The teens dropped their weapons as they lost consciousness and laid on the cold, metal, elevator floor.
