Cockroach Terminator (Part 2)
The cockroach mutant was shooting at the kraang, and the kraang were shooting back, but they was no match. Soon all the kraang bots were down and the cockroach focused on it's new target. "Mikey, Donnie, you take the roach. Vixen get the lens. Raph, you're coming with me. Vixen? Raph?" Leo said, confused. After a moment of silence, Leo turned to see the two were no where in sight. "Vixen?! Raph?!" He called out, hoping one of them could answer. From behind the Shellraiser, Raph peeked out to see what was going on, but them hid again, next to Vixen who was shaking. "What are we gonna do, what are we gonna do?" Vixen mumbled. Then an idea struck her. She got up only for Raph to pull her back down. "Where are you going? You're not just gonna leave me here, are you?" He freaked. "I'll be back. I got a great idea." Vixen grinned as she ran down the street.
"Alright Roachie. Prepare to meet your maker.' Mikey threatened. "Wait. Isn't that me?" Donnie asked the orange clad turtle. "Exactly. Go get him, tiger." Mikey grinned as he pushed Donnie towards the mutated roach. Donnie glared at Mikey's cheesy grin and got easily distracted, giving the roach the perfect opportunity to grab Donnie by the face and throw him away. Mikey looked up and saw that more kraang had shown up, the flying kind. They started shooting at him and Mikey dived out the way. Meanwhile, Leo was trying to pulled the lens towards the van but tripped over his own feet, trying not to get shot by the kraang blaster. One kraang bot landed in front of him to collect the lens, and Leo couldn't do anything against it because he ran away from the incoming kraang instead of deflecting the blasts with his katanas like he does in every other episode. The kraang got the itty bitty lens and flew off, catching Mikey's eye. "Oh, no, the kraang has the lens again." He said disheartenedly, only to get smacked away in the plastron by the mutant cockroach. Leo ran down an alley being chased by kraang bot. "Raph, Vixen, where are you? Raph, are you hearing me? Raph!" Leo yelled.
Raph ignored the calls of his older brother as he cowered from behind the van. The roach used his scanner to located Raph and started slaking over. "Why did it have to be a cockroach? Why did it have to be a cockroach?!" Raph repeated as he placed his hands over his 'ears' and screwed his eyes shut. He felt the van shift and looked up the see the cockroach glaring down at him. "That is a big cockroach!" He shouted. While the roach was distracted, Donnie did an attack from above, but it had no effect. The roach set it's gaze on Donnie, making the purple clad turtle gasp. Mikey pushed his brother out of the way. "We're not done with you yet, spy roach!" Mikey gloated as he started spraying it with bug spray. The bug started backing away from the chemicals, and Mikey kept giving a consistent assault. Donnie and Mikey did a couple of combo moves on the bug and sprayed it once more, making it fall to the ground and writher around. It was on the brink of death. "Yes! Nail him, Mikey!" Donnie cheered.
The young turtle shook the can again and pushed down on the nozzle, but nothing came out. The bug spray was all gone. "Uh-oh." Mikey said as the roach got back up to his feet, and pointed the blaster right at Mikey's head. "You point that blaster away from my best friend, you prehistoric nightmare fuel wannabe!" Vixen yelled out. The roach turned to see where the voice was coming from, only to get rammed in the face with a tanker truck. "How's that grill taste, bug?" Mikey cheered. The roach started to climb up the front of the van, but Vixen only gave back a wide smile and a crazed look in her eye. She waved at the bug, opened the door and jumped out. The tanker rammed into a wall and exploded. "Yeah! Woo-Hoo!" Donnie celebrated . "Uh-huh! That's what I'm talking about!" Vixen screamed as he high fived Mikey and Donnie. "Now, where's the diamond?" Donnie asked as he saw Raph come up from behind him. "Uh-" Raph started. "Raph lost it." Leo piped. Raph moved out the way to see Leo with his katana's drawn, one with a kraang head on it. "Raph, Vixen, where were you?" Leo asked, angrily. "Dude, did you not just see me blow that roach up with a high jacked tanker? There was an explosion. I'm pretty sure you had to at least hear it." Vixen answered, sassily.
"What about you Raph?" Leo asked, crossing his arms. "I was busy." Raph insisted. "Busy cowering in terror." Leo scoffed as he pulled the kraang head off his blade. "Which was all part of the plan." Vixen interrupted proudly. The turtles looked at her confused. "I knew that because Raph and I were so scared of that thing, and because Donnie and Mikey were gonna fight it, that Leo was gonna have to get the diamond. So technically, you lost it. Anyway, the cockroach always seemed to go after Raph the most, probably from a sadistic glee of chasing someone who fears it the most. So, while the roach was distracted trying to get to Raph, I found a tanker, knocked out the driver and drove it over here and creamed that little sucker, right before burning it to a crisp. If this was Grand Theft Auto, I would have gotten 6 stars." She bragged, popping her imaginary collar. "Look, Vix, you don't have to lie for me-" "Who said I was lying? That was my legitimate plan. Did you not catch up on any of that?" She cocked a brow. "Who is gonna understand a 15 part plan by just hearing the sentence, 'I'll be back. I got a great idea.'?! Raph argued back.
"Whatever! We gotta find the drill before the kraang cracks open Manhattan like an egg." Leo order. "I would prefer the term hot-pocket, but let's go." Vixen shrugged. Leo growled under his breath and him, Donnie and Mikey ran off. Vixen was about to follow when she saw Raph still standing there. She put a hand on his shoulder and smiled at him. "Hey, it's gone now. So you can focus on kicking some kraang butt. Everyone's afraid of something. It's okay." She reassured. Raph cracked a smile back at her and they both hurried into the Shellraiser to find the drill. But, as soon as Raph sat down, he got an ear full from Leo. And this wasn't the average, 'you need to be better at this' speech. This was a 'you messed everything up and your stupid fear makes no logical sense. The thing you are afraid of is laughable and because your afraid of it you are now less of a person than you actually are. You are pathetic.' kind of speech. "You blew it Raph. You've gotta get your head together." Leo said sharply, making Raph flinch. "I kno-" "No, no, no!" Vixen yelled. "This is so wrong!" She continued. "Mikey, would you be a dear and put on your head phones and put the music to full blast?" She asked sweetly. Mikey nodded and did just that.
"Now listen to me to Space heroes loving, blue masked, bald headed, white speckled, sword wielding, pizza loving, uncle joke making, daddy's boy." Vixen started. Raph choked on air. "First of all, it wasn't just him. It was me too. So don't think that you can pin this whole mission's failure on Raph. It seems that you're just trying to have Raph as a scapegoat just because of his fear. Stop making him fight the thing he can't even fight when it's smaller than his eye. Let the boy breathe, for damn's sake! He just had to face his biggest fear multiplied by 10. At least he was able to actually knock him out for a few seconds, so that should be an accomplishment. Not everyone can be this perfect, knight in shining armor, pearly white teeth and fearless. Not even you. So deflate your pride, turn up that empathy and sit yourself down. You couldn't even take the diamond into the van because you were too stupid to even open the fricking case. The thing was less than the size of your palm, goodness! So, moral of the story is that nobody is perfect and we all need to accept that, because you're really sitting here, chewing out your little bother, as if you wouldn't be crying over Space heroes being canceled. I would have more colorful words, but the adrenalin from facing my fear has lowered, so I'm tired. Thank you!" She finished, plopping herself onto her seat.
And now the ride was silent. "Thanks, V." Raph said softly, smiling at her. The girl smiled back and gave a 2 fingered salute. "Hey, us hotheads have to stick together, right?" She laughed punching his shoulder. Donnie interrupted the tension but giving the other info about the kraang. Vixen tapped Mikey on his head, and the orange clad turtle took out the earbuds. "Guys. Okay, here's a map of known kraang facilities. And here's the map of the faulty lines in New York city. Now, if the kraang are going to drill into the earth's crust, then this is where they do it." Donnie deduced, pointing to the only kraang base that had two faulty line over lapping underneath it. "Alright then guys. We've got a little more time left before the kraang start drilling." Leo said, hopefully. Then, suddenly there was a thump and whirring sound from somewhere. "What's that sound?" Raph asked. "I don't see anything outside." Donnies said, right before getting an alert from the camera underneath the van. "Uh-oh, he's back." Donnie alerted the other. "HE'S WHAT?!" Vixen screeched. "What? Where? Where the heck is he?" Raph asked. He felt vibrations under his feet and realized where he was.
"He's underneath the van! He's underneath the van!" Raph panicked as he latched onto Donnie. Vixen was already off the floor and clutching onto the bars on the roof. The roach cut something and suddenly the van stopped. "He cut the drive shaft?" Raph screamed as Donnie pushed him to the ground. "How does he keep finding us?" Leo exclaimed. "I personally think it's either:
A) He is literally mutated with technology.
B) He can sense fear and feeds off misery.
C) He is a demon sent from hell, proven by the fact that he can survive an assault of man hole covers, a firing squad of kraang bots and a flaming inferno of death!
or D) All the above." Vixen listed off
"Or, he could be using the homing signal I set up so spy roach could find it's way back to the van." Donnie admitted. "THERE'S A HOMING SIGNAL!" Leo screamed as the whole group surrounded Donnie. "Dude, even I would have turned that off." Mikey nodded. "Excuse me, Mikey. I've been a little distracted." Donnie shot back. "So now we know, that this is not mine or Raph's faults. Donnie has been leading our demise right to us!" Vixen accused. "Maybe I can use the signal to tap into his camera to see what he's seeing." Donnie suggested. "None of this makes sense. Why is he so mad at us?" Raph asked. "And...got it." Donnie said as he finished. Then all the played was Raph trying to kill the bug over and over again. "Oh, crud." Raph mumbled as he realized he was utterly screwed. "I don't think he's mad at us. I think he's mad at you." Donnie analyzed. "You think?" Vixen deadpanned. "Vixen, you okay? Your face does not match your tone of voice." Leo pointed out. Only then did Vixen realize she was smiling. "Sorry. I have never felt joy, relief and pity all at the same time, and my body doesn't know how to react. The demon is not going after me! But, I feel bad for Raph." She shared,
"I know right. This must stink for someone who's afraid of roaches." Mikey laughed. "Irony. Got it, thanks. So are there any more surprises?" Raph asked sarcastically, only to meet a sawblade right in front of his face. "He has a saw?" Raph shouted. The blade whipped around trying to cut Raph. "The cockroach had a saw!" Raph freaked. Leo pushed Raph out the way and sliced the saw off. It withered around until is stopped completely, spurting black goo. Mikey smiled and pointed at it. "Not anymore." Leo stated. "I'm not cleaning that." Vixen shuttered pointing to the goop. "Donnie, the rest of us will keep the roach busy-" "We will?" Leo ordered, only to we interrupted my Raph. Leo grabbed Raph by the plastron and looked him dead in the eyes. "Yes! You've got to fix the Shellraiser fast. Like, yesterday fast." Leo finished. Leo, Mikey, Vixen and Raph climbed out the van. Well, Raph was being dragged. When they got outside, it was scarily quite. Raph was grasping onto Leo's hand, looking everywhere. They heard a commotion from under the van and began their plan.
"Hey, spy roach! Raph's out here! Come and get him!" Leo shouted out in the open. "Really? You're using me as bait?" Raph trembled. "Yep." Leo answered back simply. "I thought you said bad guys loved chasing Mikey..." Vixen teased. The mutant roach crawled from under the van and stood in front of the 4. He locked his sights of Raph and started walking forward. Leo and Mikey started dragging a screaming Raph away as Vixen followed. "You know, you realize that he's kinda short when your not running for your life anymore." Vixen pointed out, cringing at her past self. When the Roach turned the corner, it saw Raph all alone. Raph screamed and backed away, as the cockroach powered up his blaster. Leo and Mikey can soaring down from the sky and slammed a trashcan onto the roach, opening up. The roach's body tore through the bottom and Mikey slammed the lid on top. Leo and Mikey started beating the can. Leo used a golf club and Mikey used his head. But the roach escaped and threw the two back.
Raph started running away from the mutant, as it walked towards him. What was this, a Jason movie? No matter how fast you run, he's always able to walk faster than you. "Not afraid. Not afraid. Not afraid." Raph repeated as he threw the trash can into the creatures' path and vaulted over it. But the roach just plowed right through. "Scratch that! Totally afraid." Raph panicked. Raph turned the corner and saw there was wet cement, so to jumped onto the wall and barrel rolled over it. He picked himself back up and ran again, but soon found he was at a dead end. Raph tried to think of a way out but heard crashing from behind. He went into a fetal position, placing his hands over his head. "I'm sorry I tried to smash you, okay? I'm sorry. I learned a very important lesson. I'll never be cruel again. Just leave me alone." Raph sobbed. "On one condition." A voice replied. "AHH! ANYTHING!" Raph pleaded. "Be good to Michelangelo." It responded. "Raph screamed out, but stopped when he realized what the voice said. "What?" Behind Raph was Mikey, just trying to freak his big brother out. "Let him read your comics once in a while."
Raph turned, furious at what the orange clad turtle has done. "MIKEY!" He shouted, kicking his little brother in the behind. Mikey ran behind Leo as the blue clad turtle tried to hold Raph back. "Ow! So much for learning your lesson." Mikey whined. "Nice job, Raph." Leo praised. "What are you talking about? Where's the bug?" Raph asked. Leo moved out the way to show the cockroach frozen in place. It was covered in a thin layer of cement, but enough to keep it trapped there. Vixen stood next to it as she held an empty bucket that used to hold cement. "Vixen's plan about using you as bait so we could take it down, was honestly not that bad..." Leo admitted. "That's right. Say it Leo. I'm smart." Vixen bragged as she threw the bucket over her shoulder "Ha! Stuck, huh? Not so touch now, are you, Roachie." Raph teased as he tapped it's head with his Sai. "You're just a...hollow shell..." Raph finished as the head fell off. The whole thing fell apart and dust started to pick up. "What the-" Raph cut himself off.
"He must have molted." Leo deduced. "They molt?" Raph asked. "Yeah, roaches shed their skins when...they...get...bigger." Leo trailed off as he saw something behind them. "Dud, you're not kidding." Mikey breathed. Raph and Vixen turned to see what was there. It was a creamy green blob creature, but you can see it's veins that carried mutagen.. It had two long arms that were cover in some kind of mucus. Black, soulless eyes and a weird mouth that had multiple flaps of skin that covered it. It screamed, spitting out some type of liquid. "Ittai nanida?" Vixen screeched. Two techno wings poked out from the flaps of fat on it's back. "Cockroach why did it have to be a cockroach?" Raph awed. "That's not a cockroach, that's a living nightmare!" Vixen trembled, having something to fear again. "Where's April in all this? Why do I have to be that one who puts up with all this foolishness?" Vixen complained. The creature flapped it's winds and started flying. "And it flies." Raph pointed out. "Run! Leo yelled, and the 4 booked it out of there.
(Should I stop here and make a 3 part? Nah...unless)
