Chapter 2: Meeting The Turtles

(Y/N) POV

"RUN!" I screamed, shoving my sister out of the way of a falling bookcase. Her blue skirt fluttering in the breeze as she stumbled into my dads arms. My father and little brother were waiting in the door frame for us to join them so we could make it out together.

"I'll meet you outside!" My dad looked like he wanted to argue, but the ceiling was already beginning to collapse. With an exasperated cry, he grabbed my two siblings, slung them over his shoulders, and hauled them out of the building.
At this point, we had no idea about the Kraang invasion, or the mutations, or anything like that. All we knew was the building was coming down and we needed to get out. That was all that mattered.

A whole chunk of the ceiling gave way and smashed into the ground in front of me, making me jump. The dust clouded my vision and poisoned the air, making it hard to breathe. The bookcase seemed to become heavier and heavier by the second.

Closing my eyes, I gathered up all the strength I had left, keeping only my family in mind. Then launched the bookcase into the wall beside me, breaking the wood shelves into many different pieces.
Wiping a couple beads of sweat off my forehead, I scrambled out the door and toward fresh air. Toward my family.

But I was too late.

What I found was hundreds of mutated zombies roaming the streets. Kraang robots with guns swarmed the nearby buildings, dragging out neighbors I used to be friends with, used to wave at as I passed by. And I watched. I watched them get blasted with the strange goo. Watched the people I knew and loved scream and yell in agony as their body forcefully changed and their mind was stolen from their mutated selfs.

I watched that familiar yellow shirt, that cute blue skirt I always was jealous of, stumble towards me in a drunken-like state. Beside my sister was my father, strongly walking in the other direction, unaware of what was going on.

And then there was my brother.

Still attempting to get away. He always was stubborn.

"Colten!" I yelled as loud as I dared. He turned to me, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. He was only five, he wouldn't know what to think of this. I don't know what to think of this.

'Come here' I mouthed, waving my fingers in the air, motioning him to come to me. He nodded slowly and stood, visually shaking.

'Come on that's it' I whispered, he took a couple steps toward me, unsurely. Staying as close to the wall as he could, away from the mutated people. He got so close. So close. He was only five. He was so close...

It wasn't until the pink skin started to wrap around his head did I realize he had been spotted, and shot by the mysterious mutagen.

"NooOOOO!" I screamed, grabbing the knife out if my black combat boots and slashing the nearest kraang bot next to me. He was so close. So close...

The next couple minutes was a blur. I remember running to the middle of the street, slashing at a couple Kraang, destroying a few. Dodging shots after shots, until I made it to a deserted alley way. Then I found myself curled up beside a dumpster that smelled suspiciously of tuna.

And there I sat , for what felt like hours. I may have fallen asleep, with all the dust and stuff that I had inhaled earlier I don't doubt it. But I do remember a voice. Two voices, actually. Male. They where near, and they where human. I guess I decided the best chance I had was to get out of the city, and I knew I couldn't do it alone.

Finding the voices growing distant, I decided it was now or never. So I shakily stood to my feet and waved down the only non-mutated beings I would see in a while. Well, kinda...

Ralph's POV

What started as a mission to find Karai, went to running from a whole freaking kraang invasion. Just this morning everything was right in the world, running smoothly and nicely. Now it's a full on war zone in the city we once called home.

Just about everywhere Casey and I turned, another portal from dimension X opened, spitting out more and more kraang bots, including kraang prime. It was a total and utter mess. And to make matters worse, we recently found out that the kraang had finally perfected the mutagen, giving them the power to turn our very earth into another dimension X!!!

Already half of the New York population has been mutated into one of the kraang little monsters, overwhelming the streets.

"Raph-!" Casey shouted as he skidded gracefully over the hood of a car.

"Just keep moving, we need to find cover, quick!" I yelled back, ducking to avoid flying debris. I don't know how we managed to make our situation worse, but soon enough we found ourselves being chased by kraang prime himself. Scumbag. I so could have taken him on one on one if it wasn't for the military, or SWAT, or whatever showed up and started blasting him with their high grade missiles.

"Come on Casey, nows our chance!" I exclaimed, pointing out that we were no longer kraang primes' top priority.

"Aww but it was just getting awesome!" Casey whined, reluctantly following me into a nearby alley way to catch our breaths.

"What the actual hell is going on?!" I screamed, rubbing my temples in attempt to calm myself down.

"Dude! This is worse than that thing last year!" Casey exclaimed, pointing at kraang ships flying overhead. Now realizing the rest of the team may not even be aware of what was going on, I quickly pulled my shell-phone (hahahahaha sorry I don't know what they are called but come on that's funny) and pulled up Mickey's number, jamming the call button.

"Raph-!"

"Mickey! Are y'all seeing this? The kraang are invading New York! They somehow figured out how to perfect the mutagen and they are turning all the citizens into mutants! Are y'all ok? What's going o-"

"RAPH!" Mickey screamed through the phone, making my ears ring. Speechless, I reluctantly placed the phone back up to my ear.

"The team is meeting up at April's apartment, meet us there and we will discuss everything I promise" Mickey stated quickly.

"Alright see you then." I hung up the phone and shoved it back in my pocket.

"Alright Casey the team- Casey?" I curiously walked toward Casey, who was staring off at a nearby dumpster, his hand gripping his hockey stick tightly.

"What is it?" I growled quietly. Casey brought his finger up to his ear and tapped it, then pointed beside the dumpster. I nodded and brought my sais out to my side. Together, we slowly crept up to the dark corner, preparing for the worst when...

A hand slammed the side of the rusty, greasy, old dumpster, gripping it tightly, making us jump. Then, to our suprise, a girl stood into view. She was small, maybe eleven or twelve. Long brown hair and bright blue eyes(Sorry if you don't have any of these just pretend otherwise I guess). She didn't seem surprised that a giant turtle stood in front of her, or a weird teenage kid in a skull mask armed with a bunch of hockey sticks.

"Who are you? Are you aliens?" She asked rather calmly. Her eyes darted from me to Casey faster than I could keep up with.

"No, we are here to help. Where are your parents?" Casey put away his hockey stick and put his hands on his knees, talking like a baby to match her age. Or whatever. This seemed to make the girl angry. For I split second, I could have sworn I saw fire in her eyes.

"First off, I'm not six, junior," her voice got stern, addressing Casey straight forward. I kinda just sat back and watched happily.

"Second off, that is none of your concern." Her stone cold act seemed to break as she said that last sentence, but put her brave face back on and turned to me.

"Do you have a way out of the city?" She demanded. I put my hands up in surrender.

"Sure sure, we can give you a ride." I chuckled. Casey cleared his throat loudly.

"Um, give us one minute," he chuckled grabbing my arm, pulling me off to the side.

"This situation is bad enough! We don't need a spoiled brat on our tail! Plus, it's too dangerous for her to be with us, you know that." He gives me a concerned look.

" You also know that it is more dangerous to just leave her here! I wouldn't be able to live with myself!" I protested. For a couple minutes we glared at each other, silently fighting one another. It wasn't until Casey gave a huge sigh and stepped down that I knew I had won.

"Alright," I turn to the girl, her eyes stare determinedly into my own. " you can come with us," she lets out the breathe she had been holding and a huge smile formed on her face.

"BUT! Only until we get out of the city, then you are on your own, got it?" I studied her carefully, but she only nodded, returning back to her stone cold state.

"Good" I turned back to Casey, shaking his head in disappointment.

"Who knew you where such a softy?" He whispered underneath his breath. I growled and smacked him in the head, making him stumble.

"Let's go. It's bad enough we've kept the others waiting. They said they are meeting up at April's place." I said sternly, addressing Casey. Out of the corner of my eye I could see the girl standing and making her way over to us.

"How are we supposed to make it to your friends place without getting spotted? Can you fly?" The girl asks, looking at the back of my shell for wings.

Me and Casey both look at each other and burst out laughing uncontrollably.

Whipping the tears from my eye I take a deep breath and assure her that I don't have wings and explain my game plan.

"April's apartment is only a couple blocks down, all we have to do is stick to the shadows and we should be fine." I patted the kid on the back,

"It will be fine, I promise." The girl smiled and threw her brave face back on.

"Let's go."

I left the alley first, sticking to the shadows, only a few close calls. In a matter of minutes we where at April's door.

"Hey guys sorry it took so long we found a, uh, well, a... girl." I stepped aside and pushed the brunette forward, Casey filling in after her.

"Raph?!" Donnie exclaimed, grabbing me by the arm and pulling me aside. Pulling my arm forcefully out of Donnie's grasp, I began talking before he had the chance.

"She just wants a ride out of town. What did you expect me to do? Leave her out there? I know it's dangerous for her to be with us but it's even more dangerous for her to be out there on her own." Donnie opened his mouth to argue, but nothing came out. After a couple second he groaned loudly and rubbed his face harshly.

"Fine, fine, fine, whatever. But YOU-" he jabbed me in the chest with his finger, "are responsible for her!" And with that, we joined the others.

"Wait, where's Leo?" Casey asks, receiving some sad/worried looks.

"Well, you see, we got split up..."

"whAT?!!!!!" I screamed.

"It's a very interesting story, uh, you see..." Mickey started, just before an unconscious, badly hurt, Leo came crashing through April's window, destroying the coffee table and sliding half way across the floor.

"Leo!!!" We all yelled, with the exception of our guest, and ran up to our fallen brother. His shell was cracked, he had gashes all up his arms. Bruises littered his face, and he looked as if he had done something to his leg.

"Oh my gosh..." someone whispered from behind me.

"Come out, turtles! We know you are in there!" Without thinking, I carefully placed Leo down and jumped out the window onto the fire escape, the others following close behind.

"Shredder! You will pay-" I started, but was interrupted when a new figure came crashing out of the already broken window, straight towards the enemy below...

Sorry it was so long I will try not to do that. If there is anything y'all want me to improve or fix let me know I appreciate it so much. If you have any requests I will defiantly try to fit it in I promise😁👍 thank you so much!!!
