When Hokusai first met Cameron he found him really cool. (One of those things where you find a person cool and you blush a lil' type)

So later on he wants to be his friend but too embarrassed to- or more like he thinks he's too cool for him to be friends with him.

They ended up being friends and Hokusai got attached, and now he can't help but feel even more embarrassed whenever he wants to intrigue Cameron to do something together with him.

This is canon but I'm not sure if they should be romantic partners.
