Romantic Vacation: Donatello

You watched as Donnie typed away at his computer, obviously stressed. "Hey Don," you whispered. "Hmm," he mumbled in reply. "Watcha doin?," you asked. "Mmhm," he said. You sighed and got up. "I'm gonna go get something," you whispered as you exited. You rushed to your room to ponder on how you could help your boyfriend de-stress. DING! A vacation! What helps with stress better than a vacation! You plopped in front of your computer and looked up ideal trips
for couples. The first thing to come up: France. You smiled happily as you booked a room in a hotel near the Eiffel Tower and got round trip tickets for the two of you (how we all have the money for that is for you to figure out LoL). Now you had to get over the biggest obstacle. Donnie. When he was caught up in his work, almost nothing could separate him from it. You knew that either way, you had to get him off his computer and down to the airport tonight. You snuck back into the lab to see the same focused Donatello you'd left here. You walked up behind him and put your arms around him, making him jump. "Hey Don, wanna do me a favor?," you whispered mischievously. "What's up honey," he said softly. You chuckled. "Pack a bag for a week's worth of clothes. Grab a human necklace. Then, meet me at the lair's exit," you said, giving him no time to interject, "You have one hour. Go." You rushed away, leaving Donnie confused.
There was one thing he knew, though. Not to question you, just to do as he was told. So that's what he did.

At exactly an hour later, Donnie rushed out of his room all packed and human. "What are we-?," he asked, but stopped when you gently put a finger to his lips. "No questions. I'll tell you when we get to the airport," you interrupted. With that, you dragged him topside. After riding the subway and two taxis, you finally reached the airport. "Where are we going," he asked while on line for security. You pulled his lips to yours and smiled. "Paris," you whispered. Donnie looked excitedly shocked. "Paris?!," he yelped. You nodded and laughed with joy. He picked you up and spun you around as other people on the line stared. "How did you get a trip to Paris?," he said as he set you down. "That is for me to know, and you to try and find out," you said with your eyebrows raised and a giggle. One long line and two cups of coffee later, you both were finally ready to board your flight. You were first in line at the terminal waiting for the attendant to allow you on the plane. Finally, she smiled brightly and held her hand out for your tickets. You excitedly handed them to her and she gestured for you to board. You hugged Donnie quickly, and he took that opportunity to pick you up bridal style and carry you aboard. You giggled as he placed you in your seat and plopped right next to you. "Seriously, sweetie, how did you pull this off?," he asked with an eyebrow cocked. You kissed his cheek. "I don't knoooow," you said sarcastically. Suddenly, Donnie's phone buzzed. It was Leo! You knew you'd forgotten to do something.... "Hello," Donnie spoke into the phone sheepishly. "Donnie! Where are you! Training started two hours ago!," Leo yelped. Donnie looked at you nervously, wanting help with this. You shrugged quickly. "Uh...I'm just....ON A PLANE TO PARIS WITH (Y/n) BE BACK IN A WEEK!," he yelled quickly, then immediately hung up. Your eyes widened. "What did he say?," you asked. He just shrugged. "Please buckle your seatbelts, we will be taking off in a few moments," a speaker said with a slight British accent. "Well, he can get us now, he he," he said with an awkward smirk. You chuckled and took his hand in yours. "To Paris," you said.

After a long flight filled with romantic comedies and cuddling, you finally made it to Paris. You rushed off the flight, grabbed your luggage, and headed for your hotel. When you reached your destination, which conveniently sat only ten minutes from the Eiffel Tower, you couldn't wait to show Donnie the room you'd booked. You made it through all the processes at the front desk, then dragged him to the elevator. "You are gonna love this," you said with a happy jump as the elevator stopped on the sixth floor. You slowly walked down the hallway purposely because you knew Donnie's excitement was building. You found your room and slowly creaked open the elegant door. Donnie's eyes widened as he stared at the room before him. All the plush furniture was a lush purple color and a little note on the bed read, "I love you Donnie." He almost looked like he would cry. "Do you like it?," you bit your lip. "Like it, I love it!," he squealed as he picked you up and spun you around. You giggled delicately and pulled him into a hug. "If you like this, wait till you see what I have planned for tonight," you whispered.

As the sun set slowly over Paris, it's lights started to illuminate the sky and the romantic atmosphere you'd only seen in movies was upon you. Fixing your long black coat and twirling your hair, you waited for Donnie to be ready. He finally exited the bathroom wearing a sweater vest and some dressy pants. Adorkable. You took his hand and led him out of the hotel without a word as to where you were going. You walked with him a few blocks as the smell of desert foods filled your noses. The distinct scent of rose petals also lingered in the air. After a long but pleasant walk with your love, you reached your destination. The lit up Eiffel Tower standing tall and staring down at you and Donnie. "Woah," he muttered with a goofy smile on his face. "That's not even the half of it," you giggled. You approached a man in a tuxedo at the base of the structure. "(Y/n) and Donatello," he asked politely with a heavy French accent that made your names together sound like poetry. "Mmhm," you replied with a smile. He returned the smile. "Right this way," he led you to a hidden staircase. "What are we-," Donnie asked as you started to climb, "Wooaaah." He gawked at the lights surrounding you both as you followed the man to the top of the tower. Sitting at the top was a cute little table for two. "(Y/n)...did you do all this?," he asked in awe. The man chuckled as he pulled out a chair for you. "Who's the best?," you asked jokingly as you pointed to yourself. Donnie chuckled as he took his seat across from you. "Here are your menus. May I start you off with some champagne," the man asked with a bright smile. You and Donnie stared at each other for a second. You'd never had champagne before and neither had he. "Y-yes please," you answered nervously. The man smiled and pulled out two fancy glasses and set them down. He then pulled out an expensive looking bottle and poured the sparkling yellow liquid into your glasses. "Enjoy," he said merrily as he scurried away. "Eh he he....you wanna try first," you asked, a little shy about having your first glass of champagne. "How bout we try together," Donnie said as he picked up the glass. You nodded and gently lifted your glass. You brought yours towards Donnie's until you heard a little clink. "A toast to...," he started. "Us," you completed his sentence with a smile. With that, you both brought the glasses to your mouth and sipped. Your eyes widened and you felt like you were drinking pure gold. Donnie felt the same way. As you lowered the glasses and set them back on the table, you and Donnie could only stare at each other. "Woah," he repeated himself. You smiled. "That was," you started. "Amazing," he finished, "Just like my girlfriend." You blushed and brushed a strand of hair off your face. "Who would've known that a goofy turtle who saved me one New York City night would one day be sitting across from me on top of the Eiffel Tower," you said, "And would have my heart in the palm of his hands." This time Donnie blushed. "I don't know....but I am thankful for it every day," he replied with a smile.
