Big Bros: Leo, Donnie, and Mikey

Raph had always had the title of having a "Hot Temper."
To the point where if anyone said anything remotely negative about him he'd go charging at the person who'd said something rude. It wasn't really his fault, it was his bodies defense mechanism!
When he could sense it, he would go charging. It wasn't always the best though when it came to his LittleSpace..

"Alright you guys, make sure to keep your eyes peeled. They could be coming at us at any time, any moment.."
Leo was on the corner of the building in a crouching position, all of his brothers were looking at him with a "Really..?" type of look.

"Leo, we've been out here for.. for forever! Can we just go homeeeee?"
Mikey groaned, Leo shushed him.

"No but seriously Leo, I don't even know if the Krangg is out here? And why would they be? It's almost the morning."
Donnie mentioned, the leader in blue thought that was a pretty good point- he got out of his position then sighed, he put his katana back in his sash.

"Fine. We'll go home. But remember to go in quiet or Splinter will kick our shells in."

"You can say that again."
Raph snickered, he stretched and started making his way down from the building.. but all of them froze in their tracks when they heard the door behind them start to open.

They all turned over to see a man in nothing but a white tank top and some sweat pants, he had a shocked yet snobby look on his face.

"Hey, woah!! What are you guys?! Giant frogs?"
The man snickers, Raph stood up a bit in front of his brothers.
"Talking.. Frogs?! Do you even know what frogs look like you snob?!"

"Ohhooo! The red ones got quite the temper, huh? Well how about this.."
The man starts to get closer to the turtles back away slowly, Raph wasn't afraid to pull out his Sai's, he was more than ready to start fighting if he needed to.

"Why don't you and your friends go, and I won't call the police."

"Wait what?" Donnie jumps in, "S-sir I think that's completely unnecessary- we're not doing anything wrong!"

"Shut it, greenie!"

"HEY!"
Raph got closer to the man, "Leave them alone. You have NO business talking to him like that."

"Ooooo~ and what are YOU gonna do about it, wave those salad tongs around?"

Raph was getting angrier by the second.. his mind was racing, his hands were sweating, he could practically feel the veins popping from his head.

"S-Salad Tongs?! What is wrong with you! Why don't you just shut up!!"
Raph without another thought went charging after the rude man, his brothers from behind where trying to call it off but he could hardly hear them, he had one focus. Take this jerk down!

All the man had to do was take a step aside, and watch as Raph ran into the wall. He had the most sh*t eating grin you could ever see.
"Well? Any of you frogs want to end up like him?"

Leo put his hands up, "We don't want anymore trouble. Just go, and we'll go too."

The man chuckled, "Smell ya later, froggies!"
He went by the near by ladder next to the apartment building then went down. Leo, Mikey, and Donnie made sure that the guy wasn't gonna come back by looking down, he ended up just going in his car.. they would have to deal with him later.

Sniffle Sniffle

"Oh my god, Raph!"
Leo ran towards his brother, the other two followed him. The poor turtle ended up making a whole in the wall, his leg was stuck in it.
"Hang on Raph!! We'll get you out!"
Mikey screamed urgently, it made Raph whine a bit.
Leo shushed his youngest brother, "Mikey, keep it down. Raph might be regressed, plus it's almost morning. We can't have anyone else spotting us today."

"Alright in three we pull him out, alright?"

Mikey and Donnie nodded, "One, Two, Three!!"
It was easy, they managed to get the poor boy out on the first try! Leo picked up Raph and threw him over his shoulder, he made sure to hold him around his back so he didn't fall.

"Let's get back to the lair you guys, we need to get Raph fixed up. Donnie you still have your medical equipment."
Leo asked, Donnie gave the leader a thumbs up. "Of course I do! I would never leave the lair with no proper supplies, that stuff is important."

"Thank you Donnie," he gave his brother a thumbs up. "And Mikey when we get home can you get Raph's little stuff out?"

"You got it!"

"Thank you Mikey, alright. Let's go guys!"

~At the Lair~

Raph was in his room. Mikey tried to give him a sippy cup with juice, but he threw it on the ground. However he was successful on offering Raph his stuffed animal. He took that without question.. but he wasn't saying a word.

Donnie came in and took a look at his leg, he had a large bruise on his thigh. But it was nothing a few bandages couldn't fix. Donnie instructed Raph not to touch it, all he did was nod in response.

And next, it was Leo's turn. He was the most sympathetic out of the four. Of course they all were, but something about Leo's wording could make anyone feel better.

"Bro, you gotta go in there. He isn't saying anything."
Mikey pleaded.

"Exactly, it's concerning! You're the word guy, we know you can do this."
Donnie patted Leo on his shoulder, but Leo was still feeling uneasy.

"L-Listen I appreciate the words of courage but do you guys really think I'm that good? Why don't we all just go in together?"

"We'll try that next if this doesn't work, besides from that, it is your turn. Me and Mikey went in already."

Leo sighed, "Okay.. imma go in, I'll let you know how it goes."

Leo opened the door and quickly closed it behind him. He frowned at the sight before him.
Raph's eyes were puffy and starting to get red, he noticed the sippy cup on the ground.
He went close to it and picked it up then placed it back on Raph's nightstand.

"How you holding up, brother?"
Leo patted Raph's head, the little whined at the sudden touch. The leader in blue sat on the edge of the bed.

"..How are you feeling? I know your leg has gotta hurt."

Raph shrugged.

"Can you tell me what you're feeling?"

Raph shrugged again.
"I cwant descr' it."

Leo perked up a little, his brother was talking!! He was thinking that Raph might've been in a younger headspace, kinda similar to what he would fall into, but he was happy he was able to get some words out. It was a small step to making this better.

"Oh? Hm.. let me see if I can help with that, urm.."

Leo thought for a moment,

"Are you feeling.. sad? Or are you feeling angry?"

Raph waved his hands around sideways, "Bwoth kinda?"

"Do you think you can describe anything else? Or do you want my help again, bud."

Raph shook his head and placed his hand on himself. He thought for a couple of minutes, but once he was about to speak his eyes started drifting off away from Leo's gaze.

".. 'barressed.."

"You're embarrassed? How come?"

Raph sniffled,
"Mweanie gwuy.. he mwake me angy.. an' I.."

Tears started falling from the turtles face,

"I mwade me wook 'illy!! An' he kewpt laughing!!"
He cried. He held out his arms for Leo, despite not being able to see because of his foggy tears.
Leo happily accepted his brothers embrace and started rubbing the back of his shell.

"I nwo wike it!! M-Mwake me fweel 'ucky!!"

"Mhm, I'm sorry bud.. let it out, you're okay now."
Leo used words of comfort for him, there was no sense of trying to shush the little one, that could possibly hold in what he was feeling, and Leo didn't want that.
He wanted his brother to express his emotions, not hold them in.
Angry, Sad, Anxious, Happy, Disgust, Excited, Fear, he wanted to let his brother know it was okay to show it all.

"You're doing great bud, let it out. It's gonna be okay."

After about 15 minutes of this, Raph started to calm down. His eyes were puffy and practically matching the color of his bandana, his cheeks were stained with tears.
Leo sighed,
"Can you listen to me for a minute, Raph?"

He nodded.

"Thank you. First, I want you to know how glad and proud I am for you not holding what you were feeling in. That can sometimes be hard for you, but letting go is important. Second, that guy.. don't worry about him. We are never going to see him again, okay? Im so sorry he got you hurt.. and im sorry he made you angry."

Raph was still sniffling, however, his mind was starting to feel more.. empty? But in a good way. Like his head felt like it was staticy, but it felt better than having constant mean thoughts. So he'd take it.

"Thank 'ou.. Weo.."

"You don't need to thank me bud, I'm happy to help you whenever you need me."

"I tiwed.."

Leo chuckled, "I bet, how about we go to sleep, and I can convince Sprinter no training tomorrow? I'm sure he'll understand."

Raph couldn't respond this time, but he managed to nod. He was already starting to fall asleep in his brother's arms.

Leo hugged his brother tight,

"Goodnight bud, get some rest.."
