Everywhere in the lair was peaceful and quite.. the only sound you could hear were the occasional runs of water going through the sewers.
Why you may be asking? Because it was the best time of the day, NIGHTIMEEE!
Everyone was sleeping ever so peacefully, not gracefully, but peacefully.

Well.. all except the leader in blue, Leo.

~Leo's mind~

It was back to the day where they'd first meet the Shredder, despite them all being scared they jumped into battle.
One by one each of them kept getting knocked down no matter what they tried..
"Cmon guys..! We can do this, we just gotta.. try to wear him out!!"
Leo chanted.

"Speak for yourself, bro! He's beat us at our own game!"
Mikey shouted back, swinging his nunchucks around to try and land a hit.
Shredder got a hold of Mikey's nunchucks and started to spin him around wrapping him in his own weapon.
He pushed him to the ground and pinned him there with his foot, holding his blades to his neck.

"MIKEY!!"
The 3 turtles shouted.

"HANG ON MIKEY, LET ME PUT THIS GUY IN HIS PLACE."
Raph went charging towards Shredder, Donnie joined along with him to help him with his attack.
"LETS END THIS!"
Donnie shouted.

"WAIT! GUYS-"

The two went charging at Shredder from different angles..

Shredder's blades went through them both.
Crimson blood dripping on the building, both of them were begging for breath.

Leo stood there in shock.. his body wouldn't move.. his mind was blank,
"Raph...D-Donnie..?"
He muttered.

"NOOOOO!!"
Mikey shouted in horror, Shredder's menacing laugh filled the air and into Leo's mind.. he held his hands to his head.

Shredder raised his blade and held it up to Mikey's neck, he started to slice his body like it was nothing..

"STOP IT!! STOP HURTING THEM!! PLEASE STOP IT!!"
Leo shouted, his body was still unable to move.. it's as if he was shell shocked.

Suddenly everything got dark.
Shredder wasn't in Leo's vision anymore, and neither was his brothers.

"SHEDDER!! SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARD!!"
Leo shouted, his body shaking like crazy..

"Why did you freeze up like that fearless?"

..

Leo turned around to see.. a ghost of his brothers? They all looked.. angry.. upset at him..?

"Why didn't you save us, bro? Do you not care about us..?"
Mikey taunted.

"I.. I tried to move..! My body wouldn't let me!-"

"I knew I should've been the leader. He couldn't even handle saving his own brothers."
Donnie said with disappointment.

"Guys I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.."
Leo's ocean blue eyes began to fill with tears, they're right.. he did fail.. he didn't deserve to be leader..

"Why did you let us die, Leo?"
"Splinter would be so ashamed of you."
"YOUVE ALWAYS BEEN A COWARD."
"You don't deserve to be our leader."
"We never should've trusted you with this."

"Please.. stop it.."
Leo cried, "LEAVE ME ALONE!! IM SORRY!!"

~End of Dream~

"I'm.. sowwy.. I'm sorry.."

*creeeaaaaak*

"..Leo you up? Are you watching something cause I heard crying-"
Raph stopped like a deer in headlights.. this wasn't a usual sight he would see at all.
His older brother seemed to be in distress while sleeping? Usually that was Donnie. (he would help him feel better ofc)
Raph knew he couldn't just stay there and watch! So he closed the door to Leo's room, and started to semi-run to his bed.

"Leo.. Leo.. Wake up!"
Raph started to shake him a little, "Are you having a nightmare?!"

*GASP*

Suddenly Leo bolted up in cold sweats, his body was shaking like he was in the dream.
Raph jumped back a slight bit,
"Woah there fearless, you alright?"
Raph asked, Leo started to notice his presence, it made him freeze.. he was alive..? He was still alive!!

Tears formed in his eyes, he jumped into Raph and held onto him tight, not hesitating to cry.
Raph's eyes widened at the sudden action, what the heck was going on..?!

"H-Hey! Leo what are you doing?-"

"I-I'm sowwy Raph.. i dwidnt mean to just stand thewere.. I wanted to hwelp!!"
Leo cried, sobbing quite hard..

Raph recognized the way Leo was talking.. he must've regressed somehow in his sleep.
How did he know this you may be asking? It's because he knew that both Mikey and Leo age regresses! It's usually Mikey that has the nightmares, but this time it was him..
Raph frowned,
"Hey hey.." Raph wrapped his arms around Leo,
"You're alright now bro, everything is okay.."

Leo's sobs seemed endless, Raph wanted to know what made him so disturbed, but he wasn't going to make him talk. Something he learned from Splinter once was if someone is in distress, don't force them to do things they aren't ready for, give them a chance to collect themselves first.
So Raph did just that. He whispered, "you're okay" once in awhile to help sooth his brother.

Soon, Leo's cries came to an end.. and just were small sniffles.
"Are you.. feeling better?"
Raph asked, Leo nodded only slightly.
"A wittle bit.."

"..So, what happened? What's got you so upset?"

...
There was no response.
Raph started to slightly panic,
"I-I mean you don't gotta say anything if you don't want to right now, it's fine-"

"I had a bwad dream.."
Leo admitted, his eyes started to fill with tears again, despite it feeling impossible to cry anymore.

"Oh.. what was it about..?"
Raph hesitated, was that the right thing to say? He got really nervous when his brothers were in LittleSpace, he wanted to be as gentle and understanding as possible.

"I.. I fwailed you.. and Mwikey.. and Don.. the bad guy.. hwurt all of you, and I couldn't stwop it.."
He sniffled, "I dwidnt know what to do!!"

He cried more, the thoughts of the dream were terrifying! Despite his brother being there, all he could picture was the brutal things the imaginary shredder did to his bros..

"Oh bro.."
Raph hugged Leo tight, "The Shredder isn't gonna hurt any one of us, I promise.."

"Bwut what if he does?!"
Leo sobbed, "What if I cwant do anything to pwotect you gwuys and papa.?!"

Raph sighed,
"Leo.. you don't have to be worrying about all that. When the bad guys come, all we gotta do is work together.. you don't gotta carry the burden all by yourself. Your battles are our battles, your worry is our worry, no matter what we will help each other as a team- no.. as brothers."

Raph started to pat Leo's head a bit, singe when did he start getting reassuring? He didn't know he even had the guts to say those kinds of words! But.. he knew that they came from the heart, he meant every word he said to Leo.

The regressed turtle finally cracked a small smile,
"Rwaph..? Cwan I ask you something?"

"Anything bro, what's up?"

"..Do you wanna have a sleepover in mwy room tonight? I dwont wanna sleep alone.."
Leo admitted, Raph chuckled, "Sure little brother, why not?"

So for the rest of the evening, Raph slept on Leo's floor while Leo cuddled with his Captain Ryan plushie.
Raph occasionally would check on Leo to see if he had any remaining nightmares, but all of the times he was sleeping peacefully..

"Goodnight, Little fearless.."

GOLLY I love writing about Raph- I've always wanted to write about him and how I'd think he'd be around his brothers if they were regressed-

(Also for my Danganronpa readers, he kinda reminds me of Mondo!)
