Chapter 7 - Still in your Heart
Ever since he had made this most disconcerting discovery about the origin of the sinking of the terraformer ship and the death of the entire crew, Walter Simmons had become obsessed with the idea of finding out what this giant monstrous creature that appeared briefly on the video recorded on the surveillance camera.
Determined, he had personally done research on his own computer, by going on the internet. While researching news on mysterious appearances of giant monsters, he first came across, and not surprisingly, many hoaxes and other inventions of Internet users to attract attention and create a buzz, with very poorly made monsters or video montages made with the ass.
With dark circles in his eyes from a night of not sleeping, Simmons was nervous, frustrated, doping himself on coffee, but wouldn't give up. He would find out what this creature is, and make it understand that nothing and no one defies the Apex Corporation without paying a price.
And finally, he had managed to find several articles and news reporting more or less surprising facts. A smirk formed on his lips as he looked closer. Ten years ago, a team of archaeologists had discovered, somewhere in a large forest in Norway, the remains of a very ancient tribe that had existed there and it was called the Northuldras. These people, now extinct for decades, had left behind many vestiges, and in particular the one that interested Simmons, were the rock paintings covering the walls of a large cave and photographed by the members of the expedition.
On this mural, was represented this great humanoid reptilian creature, roaring and powerful. But not only ... with this creature, stood a young human woman, whom Simmons recognized immediately and with great surprise ...
He was convinced of it, it was the same woman who had been brought back to the ice crystal and who had escaped. Somehow, these two beings seemed related.
_ "Well ... this is getting very interesting." Simmons muttered under his breath.

This same morning, at the Technological Institute in San Fransokyo, Hiro and his friends had resumed their work in the laboratories. But at the same time, everyone could not concentrate on their work, their thoughts being too focused on Elsa's presence and also the macabre interest that carried Walter Simmons and his corporation against him.
Baymax had not come with them, Hiro having asked him to stay at the house to keep an eye on Elsa. Hiro had also managed to convince his aunt Cass to let Elsa stay with them for a while, insisting that the latter was foreign to this country and was completely lost, which in a sense was true. Hiro wasn't exactly comfortable leaving Elsa alone, but trusted Baymax to look after her.
Convinced since yesterday to have already seen Elsa's face somewhere, Honey Lemon, taking advantage of the time for the lunch break, had returned with the rest of the group to the laboratory now deserted of all presence, to lean over her computer and do internet research.
And after several intensive minutes of research on several specialized history sites, Honey finally came to some conclusive results. Her eyes opened round like marbles.
_ "Guys ... come and see." she said eagerly and without looking away from the screen, motioning for the others to approach, which they did immediately.
Like Honey, the rest of the group was shocked to see the photograph that appeared in an article about the historic places, and in this case, the old castle, turned tourist place, which was in the town of Arendelle in Norway. On one of the photos, taken inside the castle transformed into a museum, was a large old portrait representing the royal family who had ruled the country centuries ago. Among the people present on the picture, was a woman whom they recognized immediately ... Elsa, dressed very nobly and wearing on her head the queen's tiara.
_"What the hell..." Wasabi gasped, eyes wide like Honey.
_ "It's not possible ... no ... maybe she's an ancestor of Elsa ..." said Go Go as if to try to rationalize the thing.
_ "Come on ... it's exactly the same ... she hasn't changed at all." Fred replied, completely hallucinated by the thing.
_ "Elsa ... was the queen of Arendelle." Hiro hissed, reeling from this revelation.
_ "And that confirms something else ..." Honey Lemon added pointing to another historical article. "There are several legends circulating about the royal family of Arendelle ... one of these legends claimed that Queen Elsa possessed magical powers, that she was able to control and create ice ... it is even said that she was terrified of her power, and that she almost plunged her entire kingdom into an eternal winter."
After what the group of heroes had seen, all had to accept this obvious: it was not just a simple legend. The myth of Queen Elsa, considered part of local folklore, was coming true.
_ "So ... we have a queen who was born centuries ago, and capable of magic ... and that bastard Walter Simmons wants to grab her, and surely not for a charity project." Wasabi summed up roughly, trying not to get overwhelmed by the information in his head.
_ "That would explain why she didn't want to say more about herself last night." Go Go says.
Hiro considered, walking for several seconds before making a decision.
_ "Tonight, I will have a discussion with her." he asserted. "And this time she will have to tell me everything."
_ "Hiro, try not to rush her." Honey suggested. "You've seen what she's capable of, and who knows what she might do if fear takes over her sanity."
But as the group was chatting in the lab, the door swung open, surprising them. Another student had just come running, catching his breath and leaning against the wall.
_ "Damn, Alex, don't scare me like that, you know I have a sensitive heart." Wasabi moaned, feeling his heart leap in his chest.
_ "Sorry guys, but you know what? Right now it's total chaos on the docks. There's a nut in armor attacking one of the Apex Corporation warehouses. It's on every channel. Look."
Alex walked over to them, turning on his cell phone and pointing to the local news channel. Once again, a journalist, filmed by a cameraman, was hidden behind police cars. Several meters away, strong explosions were heard and seen.
_ "I am currently about twenty meters from the warehouse. A man with a masked face and equipped with uncatalogued weapons is ravaging the docks. The police have tried several times to approach but no 'have not succeeded. The man proclaims loud and clear that he will kill anyone who tries to approach him."
_ "WATCH OUT!" suddenly yelled a policeman who threw himself on the journalist to push him aside, and also causing the cameraman to fall to the side, just before a burning police car suddenly crashed not far from their position. Origin.
Seeing this, Hiro and his friends, at first shocked at what was going on, and once Alex being thanked for this news and left the room, Hiro and his friends gave each other the same determined glances.
_ "Big Hero 6 ... assemble." said Fred, clapping his fists, and having always dreamed of saying that someday.
_ "I'm contacting Baymax ... we're going to need all the help we can get." Hiro said in turn.
*************
"What a strange outfit, but at least it's pretty comfortable ..." Elsa thought to herself in her head as she tried to get used to the clothes that had been loaned to her for dressing. It was better for now not to wear her goddess white dress so as not to attract more attention.
She touched again the black fabric of this thing she was wearing that Hiro called ... a t-shirt. On the other hand, it was more difficult to get used to the material of these denim pants and her socks on the feet were rather comfortable. Looking at herself in the mirror in the apartment's small bathroom, Elsa barely recognized herself.
Everything seemed strange to her here. These automatic lights powered by electrical energy. This picture box that she accidentally turned on this morning and showed her a group of people playing loud music with unfamiliar instruments. And this woman, Hiro's aunt, Cass, had been so kind to her, offering her a cake to eat. Elsa didn't like to lie, but she had played Hiro's game, telling Cass that she was a young student from Norway in a rather complicated situation. In a way, it was a half-lie.
While she was alone in the bathroom, the young woman rubbed water on her face and sponged herself with a towel, looked at herself again, and sighed softly.
She felt rather guilty that she hadn't said anything to Hiro and his friends, who from the start had been so nice to her. But she didn't dare say anything about Godzilla. How would they react upon learning of the existence of such a being? Would he believe her? Or would panic set in? Likely. Elsa had witnessed the human misunderstanding about the titans many times, and she strongly doubted that it had changed over time. Besides, people of that time did not even seem aware of the existence of the titans. Had they disappeared, or simply forgotten with the decades?
Elsa was also thinking about what she had been through last night ... this entity, called the Outsider ... she could not understand what he was coming here to do, and why now? Who the hell was he? All these unanswered questions frustrated Elsa the most, but she had to contain her anger, feeling that her power was beginning to manifest. Now was not the time to turn Hiro's house into ice floes.
Elsa came out of the bathroom, to see Baymax standing by the door, having not moved from the start and waiting patiently.
_ "I detect a deep sadness in you. Do you feel bad?" the robot then asked.
_ "This ... it's nothing." Elsa tried to justify herself, but Baymax didn't believe her.
_ "You know, Hiro went through exactly the same thing ... an injury, not visible but very real, inside the heart."
With that, Baymax turned his gaze to a picture framed on a small cabinet, and of Hiro with a young, older man Elsa did not recognize. Still, Hiro looked very complicit with him, both smiling and happy.
Elsa walked over and gently took the photo in her hands to take a closer look. Without knowing why, seeing Hiro and this other person in this zest for life gave Elsa a small smile.
_"Who is it?" she asked pointing to the older young man.
_ "Tadashi, my creator and Hiro's big brother." Baymax replied. "A year ago, Tadashi lost his life in a fire. Hiro managed, with difficulty, to make his mourn, but I know the scar in his heart has never really healed. Sometimes I feel he still suffers from it."
Elsa quickly lost her smile at this revelation. She was really sorry for Hiro and gently put the photo back where it was.
_ "I ... I don't know what to say ... except that I'm sorry, for your loss." Elsa said sincerely to the robot.
_ "But even though he is physically no longer with us, I know Tadashi is still here." Baymax then said, pointing to the place where in a human body the heart would be. The robot then pointed to Elsa's heart.
_ "Just like the people you love the most, and whose absence makes you suffer, are always there, with you, and forever."
Elsa was deeply touched by these words. Although this Baymax was an entirely synthetic being and incapable of feelings, he was far more human than many. It was the most beautiful phrase Elsa had heard for a long time. Smiling and shedding a small tear that beaded her eye, Elsa came to snuggle up against Baymax.
_ "Thank you ... thank you very much for these words." she says.
_ "This is what I was created for. Helping and caring for people, physically, but also morally." Baymax explained.
After the hug, Elsa wiped the tear from her cheek and regained some hope. In a way, she and Hiro shared something in common, sad to be sure, but common. If he had been able to face it and keep moving forward, she had to do it too. Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven ... but also the beings still present, like Godzilla ... she thought about each of them, knowing that yes, they were all there, in her heart.
Suddenly, Baymax reacts to something. A phone call hologram materialized on his chest, puzzling Elsa.
_ "A call from Hiro." Baymax said, immediately on the call to answer. Hiro's voice was heard then.
_ "Baymax, can you hear me? Listen, get ready and join us immediately at the docks! There's a nutcase attacking the Apex Corporation warehouse."
_ "Understood Hiro. I'll be right there." replied the robot, which once the call ended, began to move towards the area of the room where his red armor was stored.
Elsa, for her part, was hesitant about something. Her main goal now was to find Godzilla, who was surely looking for him. But on the other hand, she owed a debt to Hiro and his friends, and on her honor, she wanted to honor it. Maybe she was making a mistake, but she was ready to face it.
_"I'm coming with you." she then declared after decision.
Baymax, as he got ready to equip himself, turned to her.
_ "My mission is to keep you safe. You are safe here." he said.
_ "Apex Corporation are always after me. So if I stay with you I would be in less danger, correct." Elsa replied in her logic.
Baymax looked puzzled, tilting his head to the side, but after a few seconds of calculating this logic, seemed to accept it.
_ "Alright. In that case, let's go help Hiro, together." Baymax asserted as he put on his armored first red glove and closed his fist firmly, to which Elsa smiled at him and also nodded firmly.
