Chapter 11 - More than a God
Elsa opened her eyes with great difficulty, to find herself in a familiar place ... she couldn't believe it as she straightened up, finding herself in the middle of the large living room of Arendelle Castle ... however, the place was plunged into a gloomy night and above all, had been completely ravaged ... all the furniture was overturned or in pieces, the armchairs and sofas torn, the paintings thrown to the ground ... as if a horde of mad savages were passing and had destroyed everything in a fit of rage ...
As she rose to her feet, Elsa contemplated this disaster, not understanding how and why she had come here ...
Suddenly, female screams erupted outside the castle ... Surprised, Elsa rushed to one of the windows to look, and what she saw made her gasp in horror, covering her mouth with her hands...
Outside in the castle courtyard gathered a horde of commoners, all brandishing agricultural implements like weapons and flaming torches, all chanting and screaming in an infernal hubbub. In the midst of them, held firmly by two of the anarchists, was a young woman in a noble and damaged dress, whom Elsa recognized immediately ... it was Iduna, the daughter of Anna and Kristoff, adult, when she was queen ... Iduna struggled, dragged forcibly into the middle of the court among the anarchists, while others prepared an improvised gallows.
One of the anarchists, surely the leader, loudly shouted a message to his army.
_ "Too long, Arendelle had to undergo the reign of impious rulers, worshiping monstrous false gods ... but it is over! The reign of the titans is coming to an end, as well as the era of the corrupt monarchy!"
_ "No, please, stop!" Iduna begged, trying to defend herself, to no avail.
_ "IDUNA!!" Elsa started yelling as she tried to smash the window, but the window resisted. Elsa then ran to the living room door to exit, but the latter remained closed, despite Elsa's strong insistence. She wanted to use her powers to freeze and explode the door, but surprisingly nothing happened. Elsa looked at her hands, lost, and then saw, with horror and tears in her eyes, Iduna being hanged and publicly executed by the anarchists, thus overthrowing the monarchy of the kingdom of Arendelle ...
_ "Sad and unfair, isn't it?" then spoke softly a dark and familiar voice. "But there is nothing you can do. You cannot erase the ink once it is dry."
Elsa turned, feeling a familiar uneasy sensation around her. In one of the tattered armchairs in the living room sat this entity, the Outsider, still elegantly dressed, legs crossed and giving Elsa a dark smile when she met his gaze.
_ "You ..." she said, taking a step back.
_"Me." the Outsider replied simply, smiling and getting up from the chair.
While keeping a good distance from him, Elsa watched as he walked casually through the middle of the devastated living room, his hands behind his back and looking vaguely around him as if he were visiting a museum.
_ "Why ... why show me this?" Elsa asked, both angry and saddened.
_ "To show you this truth that you refuse to see ..." confessed the Outsider, whose ghostly voice redoubled in intensity, as did the overwhelming aura he gave off from his mere presence. "Just like the world, the human mentality to evolve over time ... and this new mentality has decree purely and simply, that magic and supernatural beings no longer had their place in this changing world ... and this new humanity categorically refused to recognize that they were only a dominated species ... history may change and be rewrite at the will of the powerful men, but they often forget that the true past never dies and that it always ends up resurfacing ..."
_ "But ... it's absurd! And what did Iduna have to do with it?" Elsa asked, confused and in tears.
The Outsider then allowed himself to emit a cynical sneer before speaking again.
_ "She had everything to do ..." he said, turning his bottomless black eyes to Elsa. "She, Anna's daughter, herself being born from the blessing of the unholy goddess, Mothra. Just like your adoptive sister, Iduna was a living proof of that reality ... a proof that like all others, had to disappear from collective memory... thus began the rewriting of the world ... a world in which the original gods, the titans, never existed."
A world where the titans never existed? Elsa refused to believe such a thing, but had to admit that it had become the reality of this new world. From now on, humanity, in spite of its technological evolution, lived in the most total ignorance. All those who had sacrificed their lives in the past were now forgotten by all, as if their death had ultimately been useless. Faced with such a reality, Elsa fell to her knees in the middle of the devastated living room of the castle where she had once ruled, and remained silent, broken.
The Outsider walked slowly around her, keeping a neutral face, while outside the anarchists' howls of rage redoubled in violence and force.
_ "You said it yourself ... humans are an ungrateful species. You can save them a thousand times, but they will never accept you if you don't fit into their own worldview." said the Outsider in his hollow voice. "Then why continue to fight for them? Isn't it finally time to let these primitive and violent creatures finally receive the fate they deserve?"
Elsa then looked up at the Outsider who was kneeling in front of her, smiling darkly at her. She then guessed what he meant by that.
_ "G ... Godzilla ..." the young woman sighed sadly.
The Outsider smiled more, showing his teeth.
_ "Yes ... you know that he is coming ... he is coming to save you ... and he will destroy everyone who gets in his way, to find you ... Isn't it time to let it happen? Finally punish this humanity which has caused too much suffering? The choice is yours ..."
With these words, the Outsider, as well as all the scenery around him, evaporated in smoke leaving only a huge black and infinite space, in which Elsa fell, disappearing into darkness ...
Elsa woke up slowly, finally managing to emerge from this nightmare, or this terrifying sight shown by the Outsider. The effect of the soporific serum injected into him had worn off. Her mind still clouded from the product, Elsa had to wait a few seconds for her blurred vision to return to normal.
She was locked in a small square empty room, like a cell, without windows, illuminated by artificial light on the ceiling, with immaculate metallic white walls. A single door, also in metal and smooth, black in color, and appearing locked. In a corner of the cell, high up, was a small surveillance camera, watching the every move of the woman.
Elsa wanted to move, but soon realized that she was limited in her movements. Her arms had been tied securely behind her back, by some sort of metal bracelets linked together and completely covering her hands. These same high-tech handcuffs were connected to a chain attached to the wall. Elsa struggled a little hard, pulling on the chain, but failed to summon her magic.
She wanted to scream and call for help, but the white fabric covering her mouth prevented her, other than muffled sounds.
She also noticed a strange little metal necklace that had been fitted around her neck and emitted a faint little blinking blue glow.
Again, she tried to force the bracelets and the chain, but nothing to do, they were way too strong. She decided to stop, not wanting to waste all her strength in vain.
Falling to her knees on the cold cell floor, Elsa felt utterly lost and helpless, especially after receiving this new visit from the Outsider and what he had shown her ...
Godzilla, she thought sadly. Where are you? Please come save me. I need you.
But as she was lost in thought, she suddenly saw the cell door slide to one side, letting in a man she immediately recognized, escorted by two heavily armed guards.
Walter Simmons, chicly dressed in a suit and tie, looked at the young woman prisoner for a moment with some satisfaction.
_ "You are finally back, where you really belong, like all property belonging to Apex Corporation." he said.
Elsa glared at him, but that didn't worry him at all. Instead, he walked over and lowered the gag from Elsa's mouth to allow her to speak. Although it was not in her queenly ways, she spat in his face.
_ "I would never be your property. You have no idea who I am." she asserted defiantly.
Simmons wiped his cheek, still smiling and chuckling softly.
_ "Of course I do, Queen Elsa of Arendelle ... yes, I did a little research on my own, and what I discovered was most fascinating ... especially regarding your monster."
Elsa was not intimidated by this speech.
_ "So ... you know he's coming for me. And he'll make you regret what you did." she said with a provocative smile.
_ "Oh, I don't think so..." Simmons replied, very confident. "I have already done everything in my power to prepare a nice welcome committee for him. Once he is here, I would be happy to rid the world of a mistake of nature like him."
Faced with such arrogance from Simmons, Elsa gritted her teeth and lost her temper, tugging hard on her chain.
_ "He belongs more to this world than you ever will be." she said angrily.
Faced with the defy of his prisoner, Simmons decided to remind her where she belonged. From his pocket he took out a small metal case fitted with a button which he pressed with his thumb. Immediately, the collar around Elsa's neck activated, sending a short but violent electric shock throughout her body. Elsa screamed in pain, before falling to her knees, weakened by the shock.
_ "And it is time for you to learn where you belong. Keep challenging me like this, and I would be happy to remind you."
Once again, he unleashed another brief electric shock that made Elsa moan in immense pain, forcing her to stay on her knees in front of him.
_ "Thanks to technology from Apex Corporation, I am now able to make the gods kneel." Simmons said.
But suddenly, the Apex boss quickly lost his smile and raised an eyebrow. Elsa, on her knees and her head bowed, had suddenly started to laugh. With that laugh, she looked up at Simmons, again showing that provocation in her eyes, as if to dare him to kill her.
_ "What makes you laugh like that?" Simmons asked, corrected.
_ "It's you ..." Elsa replied, her voice becoming much darker and defiant. "You are so pitiful. Kidnapping and torturing me was the worst mistake of your life ... go ahead, kill me, and you will see ... yes, you will then see the divine punishment befall you ... he has already destroyed armies and entire countries by his simple will, and I have seen him kill beings endowed with a power that you could not even imagine ... You think you are dealing only with a god? He is much more."
Simmons looked at her, seeing in her eyes that she was more than serious with what she was saying. She almost invited him to kill her, as if to trigger this divine punishment that would fall on him.
Not knowing what to say to this, Simmons turned around and left the cell, escorted by one of the guards. The second guard returned the gag to Elsa's mouth before leaving the room in turn, the automatic door closing and locking once the prisoner was alone again.
Handcuffed and gagged, Elsa knelt in the middle of the cell, closing her eyes and praying again that her king would come and rescue her soon.

Meanwhile...
Eren Michaels, still locked in his laboratory since his successful theft of radioactive products from the Apex warehouse, was busy finalizing one of his experiments.
Sitting on a stool, and leaning over dozens of test tubes containing different liquids, his gaze lit up then, after he added one of the serums stolen from Apex to his composition. The scientist smirked, a gleam of madness shining in his irises. He then turned to the large rose bush kept under glass and approached it, vial in hand.
_ "Finally ... I finally hold my revenge in the palm of my hand."
He then turned his gaze to the cold room where the little girl's body was conserved.
_ "Be a little patient again, love ... dad is coming."
