Monarch helicopters had been hovering over the endless expanses of Antarctic ice for a long time. All transported, using thick and solid cables, the jaeger Gipsy Danger, with on board its pilots Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, both waiting for the signal to drop. In one of the choppers was the Incredibles family, all now outfitted in new superhero outfits created and supplied by Edna, which would protect them from the deadly glacial temperatures. As a good mother, Elastigirl was busy checking one last time that Dash and Violet's equipment was correctly installed and that the integrated heating system showed no problems. Dash, carried away by his childish curiosity, couldn't help looking out one of the portholes, contemplating this immense white expanse that stretched as far as the eye could see.

_"Wow..." he breathed. "I never thought I would come to Antarctica one day. At school, I heard that the water is so cold that the blood in the veins can freeze in just few seconds."

_"Tsss, and of course you believed that. Why I'm not surprised?" Violet sighed, jaded.

Meanwhile, Mr. Incredible walked to the cockpit and looked at the pilots.

_"We've been flying for hours now and I can't see anything. Are you sure we're going in the right direction?" Bob asked.

_"Yeah. Radar shows we're approaching the signal. It's coming from that huge rock formation over there." indicated the pilot.

Looking better, everyone could indeed see, in the distance, an immense formation of rock and ice, a kind of prisoner island in the middle of the ice floe, and on which shapes were taking shape, like dark-looking buildings. and sinister, like some kind of weird complex. The signal seemed to come from there, but something puzzled everyone.

_"That's strange..." Elastigirl said coming to her husband's side and watching from the cockpit. "Looks like it's completely abandoned."

_"Hmm, I don't like that..." Kim added into the communicator, from the cockpit into Gipsy Danger's head. "We shouldn't stay here, I feel that..."

_"WATCH OUT!" shouted one of the pilots but too late.

A swarm of missiles erupted from behind and struck all of Monarch's helicopters and most were completely blown to pieces, killing all crew inside.

The cables were destroyed too, releasing Gipsy Danger clumsily in a fall of several tens of meters but which with the combined address of Kim and Ron, managed to fall back on its feet. The helicopter the Parr family was in had been hit in the tail and was beginning to lose altitude dangerously. But luckily, Gipsy Danger managed to grab the damaged helicopter in his giant hand, preventing it from crashing, and put it down on the ice.

The Incredibles family were able to get out of the carcass of the machine. The two pilots, unfortunately, have been killed in the explosion of the cockpit.

_"Everyone is okay?" Kim asked.

_"Yes, thank you." replied Bob. "Where the hell did those missiles come from?"

_"I think I know...look." Violet said then, pointing a direction with a worried voice and gaze.

A hundred yards behind them, a giant, dark, mechanical, solitary form stood, shoulder cannons still smoking from its firing. Everyone recognized it. Hydra's jaeger. Obsidian Fury.

_"Oh no... not him." Elastigirl breathed.

_"We should have guessed that it wouldn't be so easy." Ron growled in annoyance.

Kim agreed with her boyfriend and both stood ready, Gipsy Danger taking a fighting stance and clenching her fists. Obsidian Fury did the same.

_"We're going to hold him off as long as possible." Kim said to the Parr family. "Meanwhile, go inside the Hydra Base and find out what they're up to!"

_"Okay! Be careful..." Bob replied into the communicator, then gestured to his wife and children. "Let's go!"

The family of superheroes began to run as fast as possible on the ice floe to cover the last meters which separated them from the base, visibly abandoned, of Hydra. Thanks to his superhuman form, Mr. Incredible violently knocked against one of the metal walls and managed to open a breach that allowed him to enter with the others. For their part, Kim and Ron started the fight and made Gipsy Danger run in the direction of the enemy who was waiting for it. Obsidian fired more missiles from his shoulders, managing to lightly hit Gipsy Danger in one shoulder but without damaging or cutting him too much in his run. The terrorist jaeger then focused his pectoral laser and fired, but Gipsy slid on the ice for several meters and hit the legs of Obsidian who was destabilized and fell violently backwards.

A fierce and powerful struggle began between the two giant mechs, with punches, grabs and blocks for long seconds without either taking the advantage. In their cockpit, Kim and Ron worked in perfect symbiosis, linked by the neural network generated by the Jaeger technology, but despite their experience, they could not master the enemy. Obsidian Fury, with a kick to the stomach, managed to push Gipsy several meters back but rolled back to land perfectly. Obsidian stood up and fired his devastating chest laser at full power again. Gipsy Danger, having no time to dodge the beam, shielded itself with his plasma wrist blade. But as the seconds passed, Obsidian Fury accentuated the power of its beam, beginning to dangerously fracture the plasma barrier.

_"The energy of the shield is falling too quickly, it won't last!" Ron said worriedly, watching the plasma energy battery on the touchscreen dwindle at a dangerous rate.

_"I have an idea!" replied Kim.

Using one of his arms, Gipsy slammed into the thick layer of ice below him and deliberately let himself sink into the water below to escape Obsidian's beam, which saw the enemy disappear below the surface of water, approached the edge to look. But Kim and Ron had foreseen this and Gipsy Danger leapt out of the water with its thrusters, colliding with Obsidian like a charging rugby player and the two giant mechs rolling on the ground in another brutal struggle. Gipsy punched Obsidian in the head, and Obsidian retaliated by banging Gipsy's head against the ice.

Obsidian Fury began to gain the upper hand, pinning Gipsy Danger to the ground and punching him repeatedly. Violently shaken in the cockpit by the shocks, Kim and Ron were not determined to give up.

_"Plasma cannon!" Kim indicated.

Gipsy Danger's left arm transformed into a cannon that unleashed a powerful blast of plasma energy that struck Obsidian Fury head-on in the stomach, knocking him twenty yards back and badly burning much of his metallic skin. Gipsy Danger stood up and activated her wrist plasma sword again, determined to get it over with. Obsidian also rose to his feet despite his damage and snapped his two thermal wrist blades, emitting macabre metallic sounds. The two giant robots faced each other, and charged at each other. The giant blades clashed violently, sparks of plasma and fire exploding with each impact. One of Obsidian Fury's blades manages to hit Gipsy's right shoulder but does not cause too much damage. Dodging a decapitation attempt, Gipsy punctured one of the enemy mech's legs, but with his other leg, Obsidian landed a brutal knee to Gipsy's head and knocked him back. Obsidian then attempted a side swipe with both of his blades at the same time but Gipsy reacted and blocked the arms. A struggle of strength ensued, each trying to gain the upper hand over the other. But Obsidian's thermal blades were getting dangerously close to Gipsy's head, almost scraping against his metal. Kim and Ron were struggling with all their might as one being.

_"He... he's too strong! I won't last long!" Ron moaned struggling.

Kim too was beginning to feel her strength giving way against the raw power of Obsidian Fury who seemed to have limitless stamina. But she had an idea, thinking back to the beam Obsidian was shooting from her chest. Gipsy Danger also had a central core at the level of the torso, powered by a very powerful nuclear source. Kim then began to quickly engage the device for a beam shot of Gipsy's core. It was not without risk and such a shot would drain almost all the energy of the mech. Either it worked, or they would be totally at the mercy of their enemy. But Kim believed in their chances and did not hesitate.

_"Go to hell!" she growled and activated the shot.

The nuclear core on Gipsy Danger's torso began to glow brighter and brighter, which caught Obsidian's attention but too late and a beam of devastatingly powerful nuclear energy exploded from Gipsy Danger's torso, piercing from goes through Obsidian Fury and leaves him with a huge smoking hole in the middle of his body. Again, these mechanical elements mixed atrociously with this organic flesh was visible inside the mecha. Obsidian froze for a few moments before finally falling to his knees, badly damaged and completely knocked out. In the cockpit of Gipsy, Kim and Ron were catching their breaths.

_"It was super risky, but well done Kim." Ron said giving a thumbs up.

_"Thank you Ron. And now it's time to find out who's hiding in that metal freak." replied Kim.

Gipsy Danger, still having enough energy to function, stepped forward and with her hands grabbed the sides of Obsidian Fury's head to split it open, but what was revealed inside was shocking the two Jaeger pilots.

_"Oh god..." Kim breathed in horror.

_"What is that thing?" added Ron equally surprised.

Pilots, Obsidian Fury did not have. Instead was some dastardly, hulking brain, made of both flesh and metal and wired to various cables. The monstrous tech-organic brain still seemed functional, beating almost like a heart but slowly stopped and died.

While Gipsy Danger battled Obsidian Fury outside, the Incredible Family had made their way inside Hydra's base and had been advancing for several minutes through a series of eerie rooms and hallways. But something was wrong. All the lights were off, the halls had been completely emptied and not a single soul. Only a deep and disturbing silence reigned here.

_"It's calm... much too calm. I've always dreamed of saying that one day on a mission." Dash said, but quickly got a little smack from Violet on the back of the head to signal him to stop joking.

_"Stay on your guard. With Hydra, you can never be sure of anything." Bob ordered suspiciously.

_"But in another way, Dash is right. It's way too quiet. Also, why would Hydra's big mechanical monster come here to defend an empty base? It doesn't make sense." Violet pointed out.

Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl indeed recognized that it was really strange, but while they were thinking, something happened. All the wall screens of the great room where they were, as well as the lights on the ceiling, all activated simultaneously, making the whole family of superheroes jump in surprise.

_"Oh I have a bad feeling about this." Elastigirl breathed.

The wall-mounted giant screens crackled for a few moments in horrible jerky electronic sounds, then finally stabilized and finally a voice that was both organic and cybernetic, but above all threatening, was heard through loudspeakers.

_"As heroes, I thought you knew the term for those who trespass on a property, so I'll jog your memory. You know the term? Thieves. And I don't remember inviting you in MY home."

The threat was clear in that voice and the superhero family took up defensive positions, watching all of them in the event of a surprise attack. Bob remained confused, being sure he had heard this voice somewhere before.

_"Who are you? Show yourself!" Mr. Incredible asked firmly.

_"Oh you hurt me, Mr. Incredible." replied the voice in the screens with a false tone of sadness, but which then became darker again. "I thought I left my mark enough on you and your family...After all...I was your biggest fan."

Despite the cybernetic sound, this sentence was a real shock for the whole Parr family, but especially for Mr. Incredible who remained silent, reacting as if he had just heard a ghost, and in a sense he did.

_"No...it can't be...S...Syndrome..." Mr. Incredible whispered.

The cyber-organic voice in the screens gave a sinister sneer.

_"It's impossible! We saw it. You're dead!" Elastigirl added as she moved closer to her children to protect them.

_"Yes... and no." Syndrome's transformed voice answered immediately. "It's a bit complicated but indeed, my carnal body was destroyed, because of you. But seriously, you really think that I hadn't considered this scenario?"

_"What did you do?" growled Mr. Incredible with furious eye.

_"The safeguard of the human spirit, my dear! Yes, I have succeeded!" loudly proclaimed Syndrome. "Shortly before launching my Omni-Droid on Metroville, I took care to have my mind copied and saved in case something happened to me. A feat that even geniuses like Walter Simmons failed to achieve. Personality, memory, everything that makes a human what he is, saved in an electrical network. Yes, you are not dreaming. You have before you the very first conscious A.I. Free from all flesh contraints, I have achieved one of mankind's oldest dreams: immortality."

Suddenly, a silhouette composed of pixels materialized in the screens and formed a kind of scary but recognizable face. Syndrome's, the bottomless, glowing eyes. The Parr family was horrified by this explanation, but also worried. Mr. Incredible, his instincts as a father and husband taking over, stood in front of his family to protect them. Syndrome chuckled even more, his cybernetic laughter echoing around the room.

_"Yes I know, the villain's speech is cliché, but I absolutely wanted to reveal all this to you, just to appreciate the surprise and fear on your faces."

_"Surrender, Syndrome, you're finished." Elastigirl then said coming to her husband's side. "Monarch has discovered your base and your horrible metal monster will end up in pieces."

_"Ha! This base is only one among many others and I no longer had the use of it. Hydra is everywhere. I AM everywhere!" replied Syndrome. "As for Obsidian Fury... I admit it was useful to me, but it was nothing more than a prototype for my little project. I have something far more...grand in store. And unfortunately, my dear little heroes, you will no longer be there to see it... Adios."

Syndrome's face and voice disappeared from the screens, but suddenly a series of violent explosions shook the entire base and the ceiling of the room collapsed.

_"Oh no!" Dash gasped, looking up.

_"Quick, all around me!" Violet said in a hurry.

Outside the base, as Kim and Ron had just made the horrific discovery within Obsidian Fury's inert carcass, their attention was drawn to the huge explosion that erupted toward the island and destroyed the entire Hydra base.

_"Oh no! The Incredibles!" Ron gasped in horror.

Gipsy Danger began to run as fast as possible towards the huge cloud of black smoke that rose miles into the air. Upon arriving at the location, Hydra's base was nothing more than a huge pile of smoking ruins. With his giant hands and prodigious strength, Gipsy Danger began to remove the largest debris from buildings.

_"Ron, try contacting them!" Kim asked.

_"I try, but no signal." Ron answered anxiously.

Kim gritted her teeth, heart clenched and prayed that nothing had happened to their friends. But suddenly, on the touch screen, a weak but close signal was heard and indicated a position very close to that of the mech.

_"That's their GPS signal! They're just below that!" Kim then indicated.

The signal came from below the remains of a huge metal dome, which Gipsy Danger hurriedly grabbed, lifted, and pushed aside with ease. Kim and Ron were then relieved to see the situation below. The whole Parr family was there, all alive and well, having huddled together and stuck together and been protected by a force field generated by Violet, who had to concentrate all of her power to make her shield withstand the force of the fall of the roof. Freed from the debris, the family of superheroes was able to get up and Violet made her force field disappear but fell to her knees, gasping and having to catch her breath after such an effort. The other family members were grateful to her, especially Elastigirl who smiled at her daughter, showing her that she was proud of her. Gipsy Danger move to them and leaned.

_"Glad to see you're all well." said Kim's voice from the cockpit. "But what happened?"

_"It was a trap, the building was mined." Mr. Incredible explained into his communicator. "They knew we were coming. They just wanted to get rid of us."

_"So, all for nothing. Shit." Ron breathed.

_"Not quite. At least we were able to find out who the real mastermind behind Hydra was all along... A ghost from the past that I wish I'd never see again to be honest." Elastigirl then said darkly as she supported Violet.
