Chapter 1
It was dark, and the moisture from the newly fallen rain lit up the streets.
A figure ran quickly from the crime scene, stumbling from the rush of adrenaline.
Under the dim street light, it was difficult to make out a face.
Police sirens could be heard from a distance.
The figure increased its speed and disappeared around a corner into the cloak of the night.

Waking up was one of the hardest things to do, especially on a daily basis.
Life was pure horror.
Especially after that witch sold me to an assassin agency when my father died to get me out of the picture.
Now it wasn't all that bad.
I've been taught many useful survival skills, how to have a stone heart and kill in cold blood.
Yesterday's victim was extremely difficult.
I almost didn't make it out.
I had the slightest feeling that my next victim will be the death of me.
Being only 18, I would've wished for a longer life but, there's no meaning for me.
I'm a weapon hired by money.
I woke up, brushed my hair, grabbed a banana and got into my car.
Time to claim my payment.
Meanwhile, somewhere on the other side of Seoul.

WHERE IS IT?!
I spent all night working on my project and now I can't find it anywhere!
I growled under my breath while flipping through my desk.
I swore I had it.
I heard a light chuckle coming from my door. I turned around.
"Hey Luhan, looking for your social project. It looked sorta like shit so I tossed it away." Said a mocking Kai leaning against my door frame.
"You motherfucker," I started feeling rage coming from inside me.
I spun around and headed towards him, and before he could resist, a hard fist impacted his face.
"Ah shit, that's gonna leave a mark," he still grinned and stared into my eyes, "We never wanted you here, no one ever did."
I turned and grabbed my backpack to leave this hell hole.
I never wanted to come back.
Ever.

That twig actually had some arm strength. I thought as I rubbed my sore jaw.
Luhan and his mom married into my family, now that his mom and my dad died in a car accident, by law, we are both my mother's burden.
Maybe if she just had me, her current husband wouldn't abuse her and call us a charity home.
My mom is always bruised and crying, being her son, it pains me and the only logical reasoning is getting rid of Luhan.
Once and for all.

Stupid traffic, the car ride felt like a century long.
I looked in the mirror busy fixing my hair and I didn't even notice a slim boy walking in front of my car.
*SCREECH*
I looked up, didn't hit him.
But he looked like a deer caught in headlights.

Seconds passed.
Maybe even minutes.
The face I saw before me, stole my breath.
In his eyes, I saw happiness, a family, my pitiful life picking up its broken pieces and trying to mend itself back together.
And I saw my forever.
A mixed feeling of a life I've always dreamed of and hope for love washed into me and tears weld up in my eyes.
Seeing my tears he panicked, got out of his car and headed to me.
"Are you ok? I'm really sorry, I didn't see you. Did I hit you?" He took my hands in his. His soft, smooth voice played into my ears.
Slowly a finger came up and wiped my tears.
His hands are cold.
"N n no, I'm fine. Thanks." I turned around and started running away.
He stood there and seeing me turn a corner he got back into his car.

That guy's face. Was really... Cute.
Oh Sehun, you are an assassin. Nothing should ever melt your heart.
You work for a renown agency.
Failure meant death.
The agency would sell you out, leaving you defenseless and won't stop until they've tracked you down, and see you bath in your own blood.
I finally pulled up into the parking lot.
I got out and slammed my car door.
Taking out my I.D. and scanning it, then I got into a glass elevator.
Upstairs I went into my assigned room, room 114.
"Number 42, you have arrived." A cold voice said, and a hand motioned me to the chair.
I took a seat.
"Here is your payment." He handed me an envelop.
I opened it up and counted my money, 210 o00$.
I nodded. Then the man handed me a file.
This is our business, we are known by numbers, no intimacy.
I opened the file and my eyes widened, I forced myself to constrain them before the man could notice.
"The hirer, says and I quote, 'He's still young, don't finish him off instantly, help him live a little, just get him out of my life, and kill him before the three months are up.' The instructions are to kidnap him, and they'll file in a police report. You keep him for as long as possible in your house and kill him before the police can find him."
I nodded. The spoke, "Why was I assigned this task?"
"You're fresh, don't wanna give this child an old man and scare him to death before killing him." He shrugged with little care.
I got up to leave.
"Remember, three months." He spoke curtly.
I stopped, nodded, then left the office.
In my car, I carefully examined the file.
It was the guy from this morning.
Luhan.
