Before we get into the actual awesome tutorials from the other team members, we- I, am going to talk about fonts.

Fonts are very needed unless it's just a photo manipulation where you really don't need any text apart from your watermark.

Finding the right font is a necessity when it comes to covers/edits. It gives you information about the title, the author, and the cover maker.

Here are a few of my tips:

• Don't use more than 2 different types of fonts. Watermark and author are fine.
It just really looks weird and cramped. Even if both of them are curly or serif type, it doesn't look very good.

• Use the RIGHT font for the RIGHT genre.
It bugs me when I see people using the wrong type of font for the cover. If you're gonna do horror, use horror looking fonts. Same goes for the other genres!

• When putting fonts, placement is key.
We don't want to cover the person's head or make the font too big or too small. Having the right cover size also works.
P.S. Don't put your watermark so big, especially bigger than the author's please, because that's kind of a jerk move.

• Just please don't write or draw the text.
Unless you have a drawing tablet and you have awesome drawing skills!
