writing and ending a book
- lower case intended -
we all love writing books, right? we love the feeling of pressing that 'create' button and typing in your prologue/first chapter, but when it comes to actually writing other chapters that relate to the previous ones, it's like someone pours hot water on our brains.
i , personally, use a GUIDE.
before i get into the actual chapters, i cache a chapter called 'guide' and write down points on how the book should go, what happens there, what happens here, etc.
in the past, i began writing without a guide and that led to me never completing my stories, also, getting writer's block every time i tap the plus button to add a new chapter. using a guide really helped me.
another tip is to read, read, and read.
i know, we all either enjoy reading to a point where we read more than actually write, or we don't wanna read but would LOVE to improve in our writing skills.
no buu buu, it doesn't work like that.
if it did, i wouldn't be writing this awful book :/
back to reading, i advise you to mix up your genres every week. today, read mystery, tomorrow, read romance, the next day, read horror, the other, read any fiction.
that way you will be getting a mixture of all books, come up with a spectacular plot and that way, it will be easier to create your guide.
