The first tip that I engage a lot in my descriptive writing is proof reading. A lot of you might argue with this and say it's better to proofread after writing a lot of chapters so you don't run into writer's block.

But I tell you that proofreading has nothing to do with writer's block. Few users have that because they are not using to writing such kind of books and stuffs but I am not going to go into that.
Proofreading is basically correcting slight errors that are noticeable. How will this help your story to be more descriptive you may ask.

Have you ever written a chapter and you go back after a couple of days to proofread (when the inspiration hits you) and you see the difference between that and the one you wrote before? It basically means you added some words and replaced some to make it less repetitive.

Reading through it, you discover that your description has improved a bit and you are much happier with the way the chapter turned out. I am sharing this with you because I do this and it works for me. I can only hope it would work for you all too ❤️
