Don't comment things like "notice me senpai," "please follow me," "please check out my books," etc, unless you want to be seen as annoying.

Be nice, and a bit of rudeness is okay as long as it's not terrible and unfunny rudeness. If you want to appear as funny and easy to get along with, post plenty of memes and talk with a lot of people. If you want to appear as the nice and friendly user, post well-written stories/fanfictions and help-guides or something and reply to people kindly. If you want to look like a bubbly and cheerful yaoi/yuri lover, make your description sound that way and have a wallpaper, profile pic, or fanfic involving yaoi/yuri. 

Basically, it all depends on your words, actions, pictures, and posts.
