Admit it

Most of you do not proofread your stories before publishing them.

C'mon, I know you do.

I admit that I do it too.

Most writers go without proofreading their works, so, something might've been missed or unchecked when you were writing.

Especially when it comes to spelling.

You can end up with misspelled words or your phone, iPod, iPhone, etc. Could autocorrect a completely different word.

For example.

Uoy could end up having a sinple misrtake or mutlyiple.

Instead, proofread your works to give your readers a bit if a break.

You could end up having a simple mistake or multiple.

Better?
Can you understand the words?
Can you read it correctly and know what the person us talking about?

I hope so! Because even sometimes, you have that one phone that has a period (.) Right under the letter N and make you put a period instead of something.else.

...

Don't you hate that?

I do.

It gets annoying.

Anyway!

Proofreading your story can make a completely big difference to you, the story, and the way readers read it.

Yet another example,

Say, you were writing a story with foreign characters, and you leave a litte note to search for a name and you don't write for about 2-3 months, you forget about it.

"Story is done? Why didn't I publish it earlier?" *Publishes*

*reads*

"I see why I didn't."

"My name is (Chinese name, look it up). It is very nice to meet you."

You will probably leave your readers a little confused, and so you continue to write like that, ruining the entire story and possibly make it lose interests.

So try and proofread when you have the time, if you need to, leave a little note somewhere to tell you to check your writing!

If you want, have another person read your story (who has read the other previous chapters if you wrote more) and have them see if you feel like your story is missing something.

That's another idea for later though!
