To survive in a world where danger is around the corner you have to eat. However, sooner or later food is going to dwindle to a low with everyone trying to have it for themselves. Plus any that's still around will more than likely expire past its due date.

Don't start freaking out yet, there are plants all around you that are a perfect source of food. Bet you wished you ate more greens as a kid to get used to that taste now huh?

Haha it's alright though, only some of them are bitter, and others can be sweet if you're making jelly. That or into a paste to help scraps and wounds.
