The Adamec Twins
Do you truly know the people you are the closest to you? I used to think that. I could've never been more wrong. My name is Timothy Adamec. My creator's name is Milada Adamec, so naturally my sister, Tina, and I would inherit the last name. We never spent much time with her, but we felt as if we knew each other from the very beginning. We were together for as little as a few months, but that was enough to learn the basics of life. February 14, 1642. Yeah, I'm that old, but I was too young to understand the situations of that time so many memories of those few months are subtle.
We ended up in England, but my English was not even there. I did not understand the language at all, but we learned, and soon enough we acted as if we were born there. But English wasn't my only concern. It was the fact we ran into countless other living boxes. I couldn't believe it! Pretty soon we created a small little community, and we all got along.
THE END
That was just for a century. You thought the story was over. There's more where that came from. A lot more. Let me introduce you to the first BITCH, of the evening. His name was Barry. He was very much like us but much larger. He was abusive and manipulative, and I hated him. That's no exaggeration either. I honestly hated him, for one reason only. I played betrayal and decided to befriend him, snuff him out for information I wanted to steal so I could find a weakness. Get rid of him. I think he knew what I was doing though.
We decided to schedule a little get together for the night. This gave me the advantage to get even more off of him. However, he seemed very confident about the get-together, so I had a feeling something was off. If I were to go missing, I wouldn't see Tina ever again, so I took the extra precaution and instructed for her to search the area if I didn't come back by midnight. It was 9:00 at night and I was waiting for Barry to arrive. He never came. Instead, I had lost my own game of betrayal. I knew it.
Timothy awoke, unsure of his surroundings. He glanced over to his right then his left, paranoia washing over him as he worries about his sister. "Tina!?" he shouts, "Tina!" Silence reigned throughout the room. Tim tried standing, but he found himself tied to a chair. "Shite." He tried to undo the knot that kept him tied to the chair. "Don't even try, Timothy." A voice warned, seeming to come from behind Tim. "I know who you are, Barry." Barry chuckled, "Good job, now you can see what we're about to go to." Before Tim could retort, Barry quickly wrapped a cloth around his mouth so Tim could not speak. Tim tried talking for a few seconds until a very familiar voice called his name. He shot up, eyes wide in terror, staring into very familiar green eyes. Tina was right across from Tim looking terrified, "Timothy?" she called. He couldn't believe his eyes or trust his mind with the sight of his sister, terrified of what would happen next.
Tim's stomach tightened, eyes beginning to water as the anger boils throughout his box body. He was paralyzed, his mind racing to find a way to save Tina.
"I take it you know this girl." Barry teased. Tim's eyes narrowed, and his eyes lost its shine. Tina, even though Tim was her brother, was terrified from his expression. Barry was also scared of the emotion, but he stayed poker-faced. "Don't give me that look!" Barry ordered and punched Tim in his face. Tim still looked scary. Barry came behind Tim and slowly scraped his back with a shard of glass. Tim lost it, and began to struggle and screamed to the top of his lungs. "TIM!" Tina shrieked and began to fight at her binds as well. "You too?" Barry asked, holding the glass shard to her face. "Don't you learn from your brother? Tryin to be the fucking savior ain't going to do shite." Tina panicked, struggling and shifting her gaze from Barry to Tim. Tim's eyes were red from crying a meloncholy expression playing his face once more. Barry grinned a terrifying grin. So much so it caused Tina to whimper loudly.
Barry picked up a hamer that he had rested there prior to this whole ordeal. Then, without any warning, a scream was heard and the sound of wood being crushed was all that was heard. Tim froze on the spot. His body running cold and his heart beating in his throat. "All done," Barry chirped, "and a good job it was." Tim was furious, scared, heart broken, and generally depressed. He found the knot and undid the twine, causing it to unravel and leave his hands free. He did not move though. The pain he felt was all too great. Barry left the room without another word. "Tina?" Tim called out. "You. You're dead. You really are." He examined the pieces of scattered wood making sure it was real. "This," he began, "is an absolute nightmare. More so than what happened to us in our village. I jacked up. I really did. I wish... you could... forgive me." Tim started to cry again, louder and much more pathetic sounding. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to Tina... I didn't." He eyed the poppy red ribbon on the floor, belonging to Tina. Tim held it in his hands, "This is all yours. This belongs to you. I'm going to keep it safe. Do you hear? I will make sure it won't be lost. I promise." With that he stood and left the room he chose not to remember.
