Chapter 19: The Home of the Bunny
After leaving the warm atmosphere of Tinkerslay's home, the weather got cold throughout Tinkerbell's flight. However, she didn't feel cold with her heart having been warmed by the image she just experienced. By the time she reached home the cold had started to slightly catch up with her. As she opened the front door, a warm gust of fresh air washed over her. She was so thankful to be home. With Peter Pan gone, Tinkerbell could really use the comfort of her best friend.
Even though the warm air had embraced her when she opened the door, Tinkerbell could not find her best friend anywhere. It was pretty late and Tinkerelias wasn't one to have crazy nights out on the town. As Tinkerbell surveyed her empty home she was immensely grateful for what she had. She just sent off a boy who had no home to go back to yet here she was taking her own home for granted. She vowed that she would never take everything she had for granted again.
The animal figurines were collecting dust around the apartment and Tinkerbell felt guilty for letting them get to this state. She gently brushed the dust off of each animal individually. Without thinking, she reached into her pocket and pulled out the one eared bunny. It was not dusty. Instead it was quite worn from all of the times Tinkerbell held tight to it for strength. She felt bad for the bunny as well and decided to give it some rest. She sat the bunny back on the table where she originally took it from so long ago. It seemed so comfortable there among all its friends. Tinkerbell stared at the animal figurines and imagined how happy they all were to see their old friend. She was so enthralled in her imagination that she didn't hear Tinkerelias walk up behind her.
