♡Summary♡
Yang Jungwon came to the realization that the path of an idol would not be effortless. Though the ink had dried on the contract and his feet were firmly planted on this destiny he had chosen, a part of him yearned to turn back time. But the hourglass had run its course, and the sands of his innocence had slipped away. Now, all that remained was to steel his spirit against the trials to come, and pray that his passion would see him through the lonely nights. For better or worse, he had embarked upon this journey. Where it would ultimately lead, only time would tell.
Though the burden upon his conscience was immense, he could not bear to see others endure the repercussions of his misdeeds. In silence he weathered the tempest, containing his tribulations within himself.
Yet in time's fullness, amidst this ordeal, there came one who saw his suffering - one whose gentle spirit compelled compassion. With patience they offered a refuge, their strength sustaining him when his faltered. Their listening ear soothed his soul; their shoulder bore his tears. Through their grace, he found solace.
Jungwon had clung to the hope that with this person beside him, he would be able to weather any storm. His heart had been filled with an unwavering faith in their bond. Yet, in time, the relationship proved to be far removed from what he had envisioned in those halcyon days of yore when love blinded him to harsh realities.
Though every fiber of his being wished to deny it, he could no longer delude himself - this was not the fairy tale ending he had dreamed of. A profound melancholy enveloped Jungwon as the last embers of hope guttered out, leaving him to navigate alone the tumultuous seas of life. But in the darkest nights, memories of joy-filled days gone by were like stars guiding him towards the dawn.
"The day will come when I finally muster the courage to leave you. When the hurt had festered long enough that I can no longer bear it. When time has passed, and clarity returns to show me that we were doomed from the start. For now, my heart still clings to you and only you, though my mind knows better. But the hour approaches when resentment will override all else. When sense triumphs over feeling. Then I will walk away, and mourn what could have been, had we only met in another life."
