A few days passed indeed.
Luca and Rin were closer than ever, already seemed like husband and wife, and they were happy and far from worrying.

Luca's training has also been working out surprisingly well.
He was able to hear Senzajin now, though not see him.
But it was enough to make him smile again and Luca cried the moment he heard his father again, showing him how much he had missed him.
However, the day he was supposed to open his eyes to the paranormal things surrounding him, Silvermoon City guards interrupted the session.

Senzajin stood up in confusion.
He did not understand why they would come now, after days.
Neither did Rin, who sarcastically raised an eyebrow when the guards explained the matter.

"He shall return home now. We will escort him.", urged the guard who looked more like an officer. "If refused, we are allowed to use violence. And we wouldn't like to hurt a fragile body like yours, madam."
"First." Rin crossed her arms before her chest. "I may look fragile but I can take a lot more than you think. Second. Why by the Sunwell do you look for him after days? My place is the first you should look at and you all know that."
"We only received order to get him today. Also, we were told about your little plan but we must disappoint you." The officer smirked and raised a hand holding a purple crystal. "Senzajin's soul will be banished."

Senzajin took a few steps back, Luca jumped on his feet.

Banished...?

Senzajin's heart was racing, blood pounding loudly in his ears although he was simply a soul, threatened by the prison of a soul shard, threatened by a fate far worse than death.

They wanted to cut his bonds with Azeroth...

"You can leave." Rin grabbed the hand of the officer and forced it down. "I will escort Luca home."
"Orders are orders, Rin." The officer attempted to go past her and inside but the young woman threw him out without a problem.
"If orders are orders then I order you to leave.", she hissed at the troup. "As we all know as Luca's bodyguard I have more authority here than you and I have enough to threaten his father as well, should he hurt him in any way possible. So if you intend to violently take him with you, I'll see myself justified to kill you all." It only needed a rune to exchange Rin's normal clothes with her armour and weaponry.
"Tche." The officer scoffed and gave a sign to the rest of the guards to turn back. "You won this one."
And then they were gone.

Senzajin couldn't believe he was still here.
"Father...?" Luca's voice carefully filled the silence.
"I...I'm here..." He took a deep breath. "That was a soul shard, wasn't it?"
"Yes, it was. I think you need to leave Quel'Thalas..."
"I doubt I can."
"Why?"
"I feel like...I'm not sure but it feels like I'm bound to you."
"Bound to me?"
"You're my son." Senzajin stepped forward and pulled Luca in a tight hug once he realised he was able to touch him. "Of course we have a special bond. Also you're a big troublemaker. Someone has to watch over you."
"Father..." Luca's voice was shaking, so did his arms which he carefully wrapped around his ghost-like body. "I...I can see you..."

Senzajin winced and looked into his face.
Indeed.
His teary eyes looked straight into his.

"You did it, troublemaker.", he grinned but carefully wiped away his son's tears. "Please, never lose sight again. Spirits can teach you many things and make you powerful beyond your comprehension and imagination. One day it'll be your turn to protect your family."
"How do you know...?"
"I had a vision." Senzajin sighed. "When I was still alive but at the very edge of death. I saw you and Melina. I saw your soulmates and your families. I saw my own. I wasn't there at first but one day..." He gently squeezed Luca's shoulder. "One day I'll return to life and we will meet again. You'll change a lot till then but never forget about this, alright?"
Luca gave a short nod, then blushed and looked to the side. "Can you...Can you tell me who my soulmate is?"
"Do I need to?" Senzajin smirked slyly and bend over. "She stands right behind you."

Rin tilted her head a little at Luca's sudden blushing. "Are you thinking weird now or is your father telling you embarrassing moments of your childhood?"

Senzajin couldn't help but laugh heartily at what he just heard.

Luca only blushed more. "Am I allowed to tell her?"
"Go for it." He grinned widely, lurking for Rin's reaction.
"Allowed to tell me what?"
"You see..." Luca sighed and then straightened his shoulders. "Apparently my father had a vision about the future. You and me, we are soulmates."
Unexpectedly, Rin laughed. "You didn't realise?!"
"Uhm..." This time, Luca was the one hit by confusion. "You knew all along?"

Rin calmed herself quite quick and then smiled at him. "You might not have realised that the secret of bonding lays inside our eyes. While you were absent thinking about the news of Senzajin being your father I stared at you. And then I felt it. Would you have returned that look, we would have been soulmates for all this time."
"Well, we still have a lot of time left."
"Not really." Rin's smile vanished and she threw a small pouch at him. "I created that necklace last night. You'll see worth in it, I'm sure. But now we've got to leave. The lord sent an order to return you home and I don't want to get us in any more trouble than needed. Also, you might want to keep your knowledge about Senzajin for yourself for now. I fear they'll lock you away if you expose yourself."
Luca nodded and bound the pouch to his belt. "Let's go."
