Grey leaves the entrance and returns shortly with his clothes. "I need my guards back, you need to stop taking my people like this. Others will notice."

"Bring your people here. Those that are acceptable will learn to use the magic just as you have. We will test them tomorrow." The guard replies with aplomb.

"And just how the hell am I supposed to get enough acceptable clothing for all of them? As it is it will be hard enough keeping them disarmed when they come here."

"We understand the difficulty of what we are asking you. If they come tomorrow without the weapons we will do no harm to them and will treat them as guests. Should they bring in arms other than knives we will take action," the guard replies.

"I understand and will invite them to come, but I will not force them. This will change their lives forever it has to be their choice," Grey rejoins.

"That is acceptable. The guards will be allowed to return to their posts. We will care for the chosen and the other female while you are gone."

"Thank you, under your care I'm sure they will be safe." Grey hesitates before leaving, "The prince?"

"He has chosen to mete out punishment to the others. He is being purified, but he will not accept life. When he is done he has chosen death. He doesn't believe the Aelven have a place in the world and he is right. The Aelven should never have been." The guard answers as he escorts the general and Taren from underhill.

"I see" and Grey does. And he respects the prince for his choice.

"Was what the chosen gone through truly so vicious as the punishment he's giving them?" The guard asks.

"Nothing he can do comes even close to what she suffered. He's just giving them a small taste is all. She went through years of savagery on their part."

"I see, that is very enlightening. The prince has earned his peace." The guard says and the other guard rejoins them. "One of us must return later there is something that must be done."

"Very well, but one must remain here. It is well known that the vault holds the Aelven and if the guards are missing problems will arise." Grey says a bit distracted as he places his radio back in his uniform.

"Do you know the direction to the dungeon?" Grey hopes but isn't surprised that the guard didn't know.

"What was that general?" The guard asks as the other leaves his body.

"I asked you if you knew which way the dungeon is." Grey says keeping his sigh inside.

"Just down the hall until you come to the cross section. Turn left and down the stairs. From there just follow your nose and you can't miss it." The guard says.

"Thanks. Where's your gun?" Grey is curious what the guards have done with their weapons.

"My gun sir,?" The guard asks looking puzzled as he feels the location where his gun should be. "It's right..."

The guard looks at him stricken. He salutes, "I don't know sir. Somehow I've managed to lose it sir."

"See that you look for it. It wouldn't do for a gun to go floating around loose." Grey says and wants to laugh at the profound look of relief the soldier has.

"Yes, sir." The soldier says and salutes once more.

"You let him off easy." Taren says laconically.

"True. But it's not his fault. You'll find you won't want to touch guns anymore now. The guardians don't allow them inside the vault. I really do wonder what he did with it." The two follow the guards directions to the dungeon.

"You put Sheila down here? Whoa." Taren says gagging on the smell. "You really are pissed at her."

"She tried to kill me Taren, so, yes, I am moderately angry." But Grey shows none of it in voice or action as he strides down the corridor.

The two arrive and are guided to the cell where Sheila waits. "Comfortable my dear?" Grey asks the shivering woman inside the dank cell.

"You asshole!" Is her reply. Grey refuses to listen to her other words.

"I just thought you should know, I'll be holding your trial. And since this is an occupied country and I'm the occupier, I'll be the judge." That shuts her up. "Now I really don't know why you did what you did. Frankly I don't really give a-" Grey bites his tongue. The military does leave its mark, he's been trying to cut down on his swearing, there are far more inventive ways to say what needs to be said.

"Now, I happen to know that this dungeon comes fully equipped with a torture chamber and all the implements. And I happen to know that the equipment has been kept in use so it will be in good shape. So many possible punishments, so little time." Grey lets his anger be known this way and it is far more effective than direct threats.

"Grey you can't do that. That's cruel and unusual punishment, the world would cry against it." Sheila says desperately.

"The world won't know until it's over and done with Sheila. Too late to save you." Grey has no intention of using those implements on anyone. Personally he'd burn them all but it's not up to him.

"I'll make sure you get a bath before then. This place reeks. See you tomorrow lover." Grey lets how he feels be felt with those words and watches Sheila flinch as it strikes home.

He and Taren walk away. "You're not going to have her tortured are you?" Taren asks, the thought sickens him, but it's more of a question of interest for him.

"No, but she needs to have a reality check on just what it means to attack me like this. The punishment I have is right up her alley. She might not even think it punishment at first, but in time she will." Grey smiles and it's not a very comforting smile. Taren is glad that it's not directed to him.

"Come on, I need a bath after this place." Grey says. The place reeks of human waste and despair. He has an idea of how to deal with that but first things first, a bath.

"The showers at camp won't run long enough to wash the stench off, Grey and we were only in there for minutes." Taren says as they come out of the dungeon and find a way outside. Once there finding a way to camp was simple enough.

"Just grab some clean clothes. Ari showed me some rooms that have private baths you won't believe." Grey says and heads to his own tent. Taren not wanting to miss that jogs off to his own tent to get his clothes.

"General. Damn you stink," Jeshua says coming up to him.

"Did you need something Jeshua or was insulting me the whole reason you came up to me?" Grey says sarcastically. "I really want to get cleaned up."

"Message from Stockholm, the world court tribunal will be here tomorrow. "Jeshua says standing carefully up wind from the general.

"So the others were right. Do they estimate what time they'll be here?" Grey isn't worried he just doesn't like things curtailed like they will do. He has things to do they won't like him doing.

"Not till late evening, I think." Jeshua says trying desperately to not breathe through his nose.

"Great there will be time then. Did they ever find the kitchens in that  place?" Grey points to the castle.

"Yes, sir and store rooms full of food stuffs, much of it stolen no doubt."Jeshua says with a grimace.

"Get me directions, there's something I need and we don't have enough for what I wish to do. No reason for me to not use what's here. Also, assemble the troops right after breakfast is the trial and I have an important message to pass along. I want everyone at the trial who isn't on guard duty. I don't want to have to announce this twice." Grey says and goes into his room.

"I'm going to be gone out of radio communications for the majority of the day. If you need me I'll be at the castle most likely the vault. If you have reason to look for me there, do not take any electronics or your sidearm inside." Actually the more he thinks about it the more he likes the idea of having Jeshua a part of the same world he is now.

"Meet me at the vault in half an hour. It might take me longer to get this smell off me so wait for me patiently. Don't take your side arm. And don't go in without me. You might not like what happens if you do." Grey is serious, Jeshua isn't dressed appropriately to enter.

"Ohhkay. See you in half an hour." Jeshua goes to report the changes in schedule to the duty officer. Then he walks up to the castle. This place sure is weird and it kinda gives him the creeps at the same time he feels like he's come home. Which creeps him out even more. He knows where the vault is but hasn't gone in. Those that have, have changed and are very closemouthed.
