Mirio, ignoring the scene right in front of us, quickly pushed us into the room. I tried my hardest to run away, but he had a tight grip on my shoulders. "Heyo, I brought those first-year dudes I mentioned yesterday!"

We kinda of just froze while Nighteye was staring us down... 'He wants to laugh right? We have to show him that--'

"I'm Izuku Midoriya!" I turn to Deku who has a stone-cold accurate impression of Allmight. I let out a small chuckle, it's just such a meme face that I can't help myself.

"What is this, boy? Are you ridiculing All Might?" Sir Nighteye growled.

"No!" Mirio mumbled under his breath. "He's not funny!"

"You're telling me, I'm his classmate--"

"Then you try making him laugh, Y/N" I pinched Mirio in the sides for even suggesting such an idea. Izuku and Sir Nighteye went back and forth in a mini argument--that turned into an hour-long debate about All Might.

"Who is this behind you who seemingly didn't speak up or at least attempt to make me laugh?"

I jumped at Sir Nighteye's question, "U-Ummmm, I'm F/N L/N. Izukus classmate and uhh, I think Eraserhead already spoke to you about my situation?"

"Interesting. You two want to do a work-study here because you think that doing so will make you stronger." Sir Nighteye slowly sat in his seat. Both Deku and I quickly rushed towards his desk.

"Yes, sir! Please let me!" Deku gleamed.

"We'd need to draw up a contract."

"Of course! Yes! I brought one."

"You will not interrupt me while I'm speaking to you."

"Sorry. Sir!"

"Once I stamp this document, you'll officially be contracted with my agency for a work-study."

We exclaimed together, "Yes, sir!"

"You have to understand that this will be nothing like the week-long internships that you students take on so casually. You must work here for a minimum of four months and will be paid wages. However, your academic responsibilities will likely suffer due to the absences you'll rack up. Which means your classmates will pull ahead of you."

"I understand that. But... If I worry about what everyone else is doing, I'll never be number one." Deku clenched his hand.

I agreed with him. "Izukus is right, we have to look towards our future and clench onto it. No matter how many sacrifices we have to make!" He hummed and raised his grapple. However, he completely missed the mark entirely. "Um. I think you missed it..."

"Because I am not approving this."

We exclaimed, "What?"

"I understand how working here would be beneficial to you. But what benefit would you bring to my agency? This office currently runs smoothly, with two sidekicks and one work-study student already under my employ. So why would I add you? Not one work-study student but now two more? How can you contribute to society? How can you be useful to others? To be acknowledged, you must be able to answer those questions unequivocally. All Might showed his worth by using power and humor. He gave hope to those who lived in fear of criminals. That's why the people were happy to acknowledge him." Sir Night Eye slowly stood, he towered over the two of us. "It's time to show me what you would bring to the table. Using actions, not words. Three minutes. You have three minutes to try and take this seal from me. If you want to work as a hero under my guidance, then stamp that contract yourself."

"Wait. What?" I asked.

"I'm saying that even though you don't appear to possess a single ounce of humor in your body, I'm still giving you a chance. The two of you, go wait outside." Sir Night's eye shooed off the other two people in the room. "Once more, with feeling."

"Do we both take you on head first or...?" I asked.

"Yes, I'll just focus on Izuku. You're too timid to move and hit me with an attack that I can't see." Sir Nighteye laughed.

Something burned within me...I'm getting sick of being treated like the underdog... I guess it couldn't be helped... The only person who put themselves in this situation is me.

I fought with Sir Night's eye, right alongside Deku. However, he brushed us off so fast that I started to get fed up. Izuku was able to help me avoid stepping on any Allmight posters by crashing into me.

His quirk was something I've never seen before, it's quite like mine but it has a bunch of limitations.

"I had high expectations for you two. Until now. You have the power to become a symbol, but you're mediocre. Meanwhile, villains everywhere are getting restless, and gloom is creeping closer. A pity. All Might chose wrong after all. Mirio should have inherited the power." Sir Night eye snarled at us.

"What are you talking about? 'Chose wrong after all'?" Midorya asked Sir Nighteye, our fight was temporarily paused.

"Wait, I've got to hear this!"

They both glared at me, "Don't get me wrong, I do love and respect All Might. But I don't understand why he chose you. How can you succeed him? Do you think you have time to stand there frozen? Or are you just getting tired, and running out of ideas? I was honestly a bit curious when Mirio told me he was going to bring you here to introduce you. But it turns out it was a waste of time. There is a candidate who is far worthier of inheriting One For All than you. As such, I cannot acknowledge you."

We continued to battle. I couldn't hit him with my watch... he didn't allow me to... he worked too fast. It was a hard battle but eventually, I was going to hit the poster when Izuku flipped and crashed into me. Our heads butted and he gave both of us nosebleeds.

"I...I'm not done." Deku struggled to get up.

"It's over."

"No, it's not!"

"Three minutes have passed. What? You're All Might's chosen successor? It beggars belief. You devised only a single plan, and it failed spectacularly. Leaving you worn out."

"I didn't botch this test because I'm tired." Deku used my head to push himself upwards. The fucking audacity!

"Then what happened?"

"I realized that Y/N was about to step on the poster for All Might's tenth anniversary as a hero--" He pointed upwards towards the poster. "The one that was never for sale."

"Don't say it like that! I was trying my hardest not to step on any of his decorations while you were throwing the room around!"

"S-Sorry!"

The pro hero kinda just stopped and stared at us. You could see that a million and one thoughts were rushing through his head.

"And cue our well-timed return! You're done, right, Sir? That loud bang at the end sounded pretty final." Bubble Girl gleamed as she and Mirio burst through the door.

"I'll take the children, Mirio." He gleamed.

Midorya screamed, "W-What?! But we didn't do either of the things you asked us to"

"I told you to take the seal from me and stamp the contract yourself, but I didn't say you'd be rejected if you failed. I had already decided I would take you both on when I heard you were coming. I also knew that you weren't entirely lacking in skill and intellect. But I still wanted to see it for myself." Sir Nighteye pushed up his glasses, "The symbol of peace is gone, and the people are looking not for a dim light, but a dazzling one. You'll work here, alongside professionals. And you will see. Regardless of All Might's mandate, you are not worthy of his power."

As we were about to leave, he stopped the two of us.

"You want us to...fight?" I asked Sir Nighteye.

"No, not me and you. You and your classmate." He pointed at Izuku who was also confused, "I just want to see your true potential when paired up together."

"Okay..." I shrugged my shoulders. Nothing like this has ever happened in the show... but it is what it is.

We got into our respective positions and the fight started. I felt a little cramped fighting somebody, nonetheless Izuku, in a tight room. I specialize in long-range combat and for him to be as close as he is, I'll have to rely on my hands. This was even more nerve-wracking that Sir Nighteye was watching us so closely...

Izuku didn't back down nor did he give up. He was trying to prove himself to the pro hero. He hit me with everything he got, I was quickly getting overwhelmed. I have to create enough distance to hit him with my pocket watch. This is when Sir nighteye leaned forward in his seat. I pushed him backward and I quickly spun the chain around.

It took four tries before I actually landed a hit on him. Time slowed down and I quickly rushed towards the greenlette. I punched him in the stomach as time quickly sped up and instead of Izuku stumbling backward, he was launched into the wall.

"J-Jesus, Y/N!" He cried out, clutching his stomach.

"That's never happened before! I'm sorry, are you okay?!" I rushed towards my classmate and kneeled next to him.

Sir Nigheye sighed and walked towards us. "It's just as I thought."

"What do you mean, sir?" Mirio asked.

"I don't understand, I haven't gone under a crazy transition to randomly get a power-up! Things like that don't happen!"

"It's not that at all." Sir Nigheye said with a sigh.

"Then what is it?"

Sir Nigheye pushed up his glasses. "When you stop time, you're moving at a speed that we can't comprehend. Which means that if you were to get into any form of physical altercation while time has been slowed down or completely stopped, you run the risk of either killing or seriously injuring their opponents. Meaning that you're powers have developed far stronger than our body's can handle." He pulled out a notebook and started to write something in it.  "Maybe you don't need something crazy to happen." he showed us a diagram, a little silhouette of my body was outlined and it was shaded in. Around my body as well, it looked like little squiggly lines were coming out from my body. "It looks at the rate your at now, as you get older, you'll lose more and more control over your powers. Maybe, if we train you hard enough we can prevent that, but it looks like for now it's all out of balance...are you sure nothing happened to you earlier? Nothing strange?"

"Well... I don't know..." I confessed, "Since moving into the dorms something strange happened to me that I only told Mr. Aizawa... and since then I haven't used my quirk ever since."

"...I see, I'll ring him up. For now, you two can head back home. Your first day starts tomorrow. Also, let's try working on your quirk without that silly little pocket watch."

'How fun...'
