Cassie complained for the umpteenth time, it was made up in her mind that she was not going to put herself through another long and boring charity ball. She'd happily donate all she has and even if she was close friends with the Longbottoms who regularly hosted galas for charitable causes, she would not be able to stand there smiling for hours as strangers touched her belly and congratulated her.

"Come on Love, you're the head of the department of magical law enforcement, people are going to question why you aren't going to be there" Matteo rubbed her stomach soothingly.

"I'm sure they'll understand, besides you can be there for the both of us" she sent him a pleasing smile. "Please please please, I'll love you forever" she held his hand practically begging. "I thought you already loved me forever" he rolled his eyes and sighed nodding. "Fine" she jumped up to kiss her husband.

"I love you I love you I love you" she told him with each kiss. "Mum we're going to be late, now is not the time to make another baby!" Sofia came in seemingly the only one ready to go.

"I think twos enough" Matteo chuckled, he was already dressed in his suit he unlike Cassie liked the galas, since people accepted him now that he wasn't seen as just the dark lords son. He made a name for himself over the years, proudly now the head of the auror department.

"How mad do you think Ginny's going to be if we're late?" He asked, "one of us is definitely getting hexed"

At the potter household, one by one the cousins were arriving, it was regular protocol between the Weasley-Potter-Riddles that all their children be left in one place and under the careful supervision of the oldest, Teddy Lupin.

The fire place burst to life once again, a grin grew onto James face but fell just as quickly. "Oh it's you" he grumbled, "aww Jamie, disappointed I'm not your little girlfriend" Fred mockingly pouted at him.

"Yes I am actually, she's much more nicer to look at" he smirked seeing the offended look on his face. "How dare you!" The two laughed hugging eachother.

"Relax, no one's as handsome as you except me" Fred rolled his eyes "speaking of handsome things, look at what this handsome guy drew up for our next prank" louis came up behind them handing them what he called his masterpiece, the greatest prank to exist.

"Nope we can't do it" James shook his head, "what do you mean can't do it? This is bloody brilliant!" Fred exclaimed patting the blonde on his back.

"She's one of them, she'll definitely dump me if we did this, not only that she'll come and murder me after, and I can't have that just yet in our relationship" the two looked at him in disbelief.

"What relationship? You've been pawning after her for years and she doesn't give you the time of day" Fred smack the back of his head. Louis smirked, he found out about the twos hidden relationship a couple months ago after walking in on them snogging.

"Actually our little Jamie here has been hiding something from you" James groaned "you are two months older than me!" Louis patted his head "hush child the grown ups are talking"

James eyes widened once he realized what he was implying, "louis don't you dare!" The blonde smirked in response, he always had a love for drama, whether he caused it or not.

"It's only fair" he shrugged before James tackled him to the floor, his hand over his mouth as he struggled against him. Fred laughed at the two, he already knew all about the two of them, he had heard his younger sister Roxanne, gushing about the two whenever Sofia came over.

Just then the fire place lit up again, this time revealing the person James was waiting to see, "Sof!" The brunette looked at him skeptically from his position on top of his cousin, holding him down and covering his mouth.

"What are you doing?" Her boyfriend was trying to subdue his cousin, whilst the other one was crying out of laughter. "If you know what's good for you, you'd help me hold him down" he grunted not noticing the amused man behind her.

"James" Matteo stood tall behind his daughter, effectively getting james to stop what he was doing and stand up straight.

"M-Mr Riddle h-hey" he stuttered staring warily at the man, he wasn't scared because he was the dark lords son, he was scared because he was his girlfriends father and not only that, he hated  anytime he touched his daughter even if it was a handshake, he'd scare the living lights out of him. He didn't actually hate the boy, he genuinely thought he was funny, not to mention the fact he enjoyed being scary because he was a father, that and because he was protective over his daughter. The things he had done at the age was not something he wanted to invision his daughter doing.

Once he tried hexing him for kissing Sofia at Christmas, he had never ran so fast in his life, and was afraid to come home for a couple of hours. He didn't know what he would do if he were to ever find out they were together.

Louis had now stood up, he smiled, to everyone's surprise he and Matteo got along very well, often joking that he should be Sofias boyfriend to the displeasure of both James and Sofia.

"You've scared them enough, come on now" Cassie pulled his arm slightly as he wrapped himself around her.

"Hello loves" she hugged each and every one of them, Cassie didn't grow up with much family so she made herself as involved as she could with the one she had, she didn't want to feel alone again.

The two adults soon left the children to bicker, "where's Roxy?" Sofia asked once settled down beside Fred. "She wanted to go to the gala, something about Oliver Wood Jr" her eyes lit up at the mention of the boy.

"Ohh" she nodded in understanding, "why's it so quiet around here?" She asked again, "Al, Scorp and Rose are in the back garden playing quidditch, Lily and Hugo are upstairs, and Victoire and teddy are snogging and Dom is sleeping somewhere"James shrugged, wrapping the shorter girl in a hug.

She accepted it before pulling away looking at him confused, the two were supposed to be a secret, she knew that louis knew but she also knew that she threatened to hex him if he told.

"So how long has this been-" Fred motioned between the two and she covered his mouth, when all the parents walked back towards the fireplace.

"James you know the rules, please just listen to Teddy" Ginny pleaded with her eldest son, she didn't think he would take after his two namesakes but she also didn't think she'd end up marrying Harry Potter.

"Don't worry mum when have I ever broke the rules?" He grinned at her innocently as she glared, Harry gently pulled her away.

"5ft away from her at all times" Matteo pointed at him and he instantly backed away.

He gave Cassie a kiss before he had apparated with the rest of the wotter clan.

Once they were alone they made their way upstairs to James' room. James and Sofia stood just outside sharing a sweet kiss once no one was looking, she gently ran her fingers though his soft luscious locks, "I love you-r hair so much" she panicked at the slip up.

"I mean it don't you ever cut it" she added to be more convincing but all he did was smile, he wanted to tell her the same but couldn't find the right time.

The two pulled apart when James' bedroom door opened, "hey Jamie what's this?" Fred held up a golden chain that held an hourglass.

"That is from my latest trip from dads office, I don't know what it is yet" James took a seat on the floor besides Sofia who sat on the edge of his bed.

"I've seen that before" Sofia muttered, the door once again opened, albus, Scorpius and Rose walked in.

Cassie was sat in the kitchen, she was making a late dinner for her honorary nieces and nephews.

She learnt from a young age how to take care and provide for herself, when she got put in the orphanage when her mother died she had no option but to learn to survive. Even now when they had house elves and help, she still liked to cook and go clean to remind herself that it's not just her anymore.

"Kids! Come down dinners ready!" She called out but got no response. "Teddy love would you be a dear and get them for me?" Her godson nodded pushing his blue hair back and darting up the stairs.

Victoire helped Cassie set the table as they started making plates. Their eyes met when they heard yelling and a crash, both women quickly ran upstairs, well one ran and the other hobbled as fast as a pregnant woman could.

Cassie entered the room just in time to hear her daughter yell "it's a bloody time turner! Put it down before you break it!" James and teddy continued to fight over the trinket before it fell to the ground and smashed to bits.

Gold smoke started to surround the room and suddenly the ground moved from beneath them.

They landed in a pile of limbs one on top of the other, "ow James! Get your fat arse off of me!"

"Hugo you're foots in my face!"

"Sof stop hitting me!" Sofia continued to smack her boyfriend, "this is all your fault! When will you learn to listen?!" She groaned, as lilys elbow dug deeper into her side, unfortunately she ended up right at the bottom of the pile underneath James.

She looked at James and smirked "my dad would kill you if he saw how close you are to me right now" she giggled at his frightened expression as he tried to wriggle out of the pile.

"Well I'm sure Aunt Cass would protect me" he stop fighting and that's when realization struck them. "Oh no! Mum! Where are you?" One by one they all rolled off eachother rushing to find the pregnant woman.

They looked confused as they couldn't see her, "I'm over here children" she said from the sofa.

Lily and Hugo made their way to her as the rest of the blew a sigh of relief. "where are we?" Albus questioned trying to hold back rose who was lunging for his brother.

"HALF BREEDS AND BLOOD TRAITORS IN MY HOUSE! DISGUS-" Cassie's wand had her quiet in seconds, she didn't take disrespect lightly especially if it was aimed at any of her kids.

"We know where we are but the question is when-" just then the door opened revealing the man she hadn't seen in years, she wasn't sure it was him for a second but the same long black hair, stormy grey eyes and dog like stench there was no denying that this man was Sirius Black.

Beside him stood Remus lupin and Molly Weasley with their wands raised, the children stood in awe watching the people they've only ever heard or seen pictures of.

Cassie groaned to herself at the predicament "I should've gone to the gala"
