Mia fluttered her eyes open, she groaned softly as she still felt lightheaded.

"Hey hey, don't get up." Ryan gently pushed her down when she tried getting up.

"How... How long was I out?" She asked, looking confused.

"Hours. I'll get you water." He stood up from the chair he sat, but Mia stopped him.

"No no, I'm... I'm fine. What happened?" She asked.

"You passed out on the floor. Thank goodness I found you, I was so afraid something bad happened."

She finally remembered... She was in the art room, the paintings, pictures... "Pictures... Ryan I -"

"Don't talk baby, you need to get all the strength you can. I'm not leaving your side, I'll be right here." He told her.

"Ryan we need to talk." She frowned, sitting up.

"You just had an anxiety attack, we'll talk later." He said to her.

"No, we should talk now." Mia was about getting up when Ryan pulled her back. He sat beside her, placing his hand on her cheeks.

"Listen to me, Mia we'd talk about everything later." He said, pulling her in for a kiss. "I was so scared, I got so scared my love. I almost went crazy when I saw you lying on the floor." He said between his kisses, raking his fingers through her hair. "I'm sorry." He crooned into her neck, exploring it with his soft lips.

Mia pushed him slightly... "Don't do this." She got up from the bed, away from Ryan. "I have seen the pictures, what other excuses do you want to make up this time?"

"What pictures universe?" He too stood up from the bed.

"Don't try to play dumb with me, I know what I saw." Mia frowned at him.

"You just woke up universe, you're not thinking clearly. You had anxiety attack, and if you keep asking questions you'll have another one." Ryan tried to reason with her.

"You lied to me, you lied and you're still covering up the truth. Why won't you tell me the truth!" Mia snapped at him.

"Mia that's enough!" He yelled at her.

Mia flinched, startled by the sound of his voice.

Ryan noticed the fear in her eyes. "I didn't mean to..." He too was going to lose his mind. "I'm sorry. Baby, baby." He went around the bed. "This isn't us." He touched her hair, trying not to scare her further. "I'm sorry for yelling, I.. I shouldn't have done that." Mia looked away. "No hey," he spoke softly. "Look at me," he turned her face to him. "I know you have plenty questions, I just hope you let me explain." Ryan spoke calmly to her. "I love you." He kissed her cheek.

Mia shook her head... "Please don't make me sound like the crazy one." Mia hurried out of the room. She was heading to the art room to prove to Ryan that she knew what she was saying.

Mia ran down the corridor to look for the art room while Ryan's voice echoed down, calling her to stop.

"Shit! It's locked." She said, fiddling with the doorknob. Mia angrily walked away, storming towards Ryan. "If you aren't hiding anything why did you lock the door?"

Ryan rubbed his temples, Mia was growing more curious by the minute. "Baby..."

Mia scoffed... "Why wouldn't you tell! You're just lying to me, it's as if I don't know you anymore." Mia walked out, heading for the entrance.

What was happening to her? She was no longer thinking clearly that she was starting a fight with Ryan.

"Universe where are you going?" He was devastated.

Mia scurried out of the house, she wasn't looking where she was going, all she heard was screech. Mia halted, turning to the car that almost ran her over and suddenly, her whole life flashed before her eyes.

The day of her accident at Alex's house...

Everything was slowly falling into place, piece by piece.

"Holy shit!" Alex stepped on the brakes as soon as he saw Mia. He was so thankful that he stopped on time. He got out of the car quickly, to meet a terrified Mia. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asked. He panicked.

"Alex..." She was more than terrified that she collapsed on his body.

"Mia!" He caught her. Alex carried her in bridal style back into the house. "Ryan! Ryan!" Alex shouted.

Ryan rushed out, "Mia! What happened to her?!" He looked horrified. "Give her to me." He collected her from Alex.

"What happened?" Olivia had appeared from a door.

"It's Mia. Call the doctor now!" Ryan commanded her, running up the stairs with Alex.

"What happens now?" Alex asked him.

Ryan shook his head, "Man I can't lose her now."

"Don't you think it's time to tell her the truth? She's having a hard time." Alex told him.

"I know that. This is not the right time to tell her, not now we're gonna start our own family." He ran his fingers down his hair.

Mia walked out of the room, down the stairs. She saw Alex and Ryan talking in the garden.

"Universe," he was surprised. "You're awake." He walked up to her. "Mia I'm sorry, I -"

Mia slapped his face... "You bastard."

"Mia please -" he reached out to touch her but Mia slapped him again.

"Don't you dare touch me." She glared at him.

"Mia what's happening to you?" His heart was breaking as he noticed how mad she was.

"Stop calling me Mia, my name's not Mia. Sophie, Sophie Karavagh." She shook her head with tears swelling in her eyes.

Ryan frowned....

"I remember, I remember everything!!!" Mia screamed at him. "How could you do this to me?!" She hit Ryan over and over again while crying. "You made me believe a lie! How could you Ryan, how could you!!" She was crying profusely.

"Baby let me explain. Give me a chance to explain everything to you." His whole world was crashing in an instant.

"Explain? You used me!! You never loved me, you used me!!!" Mia screamed at him.

"No!" He hugged her even though she struggled to get free. "Don't say that, don't say that. I love you so much."

She told me pushed him away, giving him another slap. "I trusted you, I gave you my life, I even loved you yet you do this to me? How could I have been so blind?!" She scoffed... "You're a monster! You knew I had panic attacks, anxiety attacks, I was at the brink of losing my mind but yet you still remained selfish... Just like before."

"Mia that's not true, I was afraid of losing you. I couldn't bear to lose you again." He had started shedding tears.

"You're so selfish." She pointed at him. "All these facade was for yourself! It was only to clear your conscience, you deceived me into thinking everything we had was real. You knew who I was from the beginning, you planned our meeting, everything was just a setup?! Ryan all these time, you were only pretending. I'm sure you had no plans of telling me the truth, you never wanted me to get my memories back." It was all falling into place!! Ryan only got close to her to make up for what he did to her, he only wanted to clear his conscience and relieve himself from guilt. She could remember!! He didn't trust her enough back then, he broke her heart and didn't care back then.

"You user! You liar! You just played with my emotions, you made me believe all this time that you truly love me. You care about no one but yourself!" Mia yelled at him. The pain she was feeling was so much that she couldn't bury it all inside.

"Baby..." Ryan was shedding tears. "Please listen to me, I love you so much. I was only protecting-

"Protecting yourself!" She shouted. "You were only protecting yourself!" She turned to Alex and pointed at him. "You, I thought you were my friend. You were supposed to be my friend, what did you do?! You betray me! Alex you of all people know what I went through seven years ago because of what Ryan did to me, and now you let him manipulate me? How... How could you?!" Her tears kept coming uncontrollably.

"Sophie... Sophie I'm sorry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen." Alex hopelessly said to her.

"Forgive me, I'll die If I lose you. There was never a time I didn't blame myself for your accident Soph. I wished it was me! I wanted it to be me! I was so stupid, I was unforgiving, I was a fool! I accept the blame, it was all my fault. You can hit me all you want, I don't care! When I found out you were alive, all I ever did was try to make it up to you for my shortcomings. You went through a lot back then because of me, you even almost lost your life all because you fell in love with an idiot like me." Ryan pleaded with her.

"I never want to see you again." She looked at Alex. "Any of you, you're all dead to me." Mia turned to leave.

"Don't leave. Mia I love you so much." He hugged her tightly from behind. "Don't leave me, I'm begging you." He cried out to her. "Don't do this."

"Let me go, let me go!" She struggled to get out of his grip.

"Mia... Mia... Mia you're pregnant." He said tearfully. That alone stopped her, and she turned to him.

"What?" Fear ran down her spine. "Wha-what did you say?" She stuttered.

"You're expecting our baby." He felt weak as he fell on his knees.

"No, no." She shook her head. "That's not true, you're lying!!"

"The doctor confirmed it when he came over. You're pregnant..." He said to her.

Mia buried her face in her palms with fresh tears flowing down her cheeks. "How could this happen? This can't be happening..." She sobbed... "You're repeating history Ryan, I will not let you do this to me." She said, wiping her tears.

"Wha-what do you mean?" He looked confused... "You're not thinking of aborting it are-"

"I'm not like you, I'm not heartless." She glared at him. "You're not worthy to be my baby's father, you deserted me once, I won't let you do that to me again."

"Soph you know you can't put all the blame on me, I didn't know you were pregnant then."

Mia scoffed... "What difference would it have made, I wouldn't have wanted your pity." She said to him.

"Baby, don't... Don't do this to us. Please, don't." His eyes filled with tears, begging her.

"Stay away from me, or only God will save you from me not killing you." Mia said angrily before leaving.

"Oh God, what have I done?" Ryan's hands clutched his hair.

Mia gathered her things from the house.

"Mia," A confused Olivia ran to her. "What's going on? I heard screams... Were you arguing with Mr Webster? And... Hey, why are your things packed?" Olivia looked like a confused puppy. "Have you been crying?" Olivia asked. Mia's wet face was inevitable to miss.

Mia glanced over that Olivia before taking her leave. There was one more person she had to face, her mom.

After her three hours journey, Mia's anger hadn't subsided. She was raging deep down. They all fucking played her! Even her mom? Her own mom!!!

Karen opened her door, just to see Mia. She sighed... "What are you-"

Mia stormed into Karen's hotel room.

"What are you doing here? I thought I told you..." She cut off by the sound of crashing glasses. Mia had pushed all the fanciful vases sitting on a cupboard to the floor. "My goodness!" She screamed in horror. "What are you doing?! You're ruining my room!!" Karen yelled out but that didn't stop Mia from throwing down more glasses. "Have you gone insane?!"

Mia turned to her mom with nothing but anger and rage written on her face. "Yes! I have gone insane! Seven long years, seven fucking years, you lied to me, used me, you fucking made me believe your lies! What kind of mother are you?!" Mia screamed, swiftly clearing the table with her hand as everything fell to the floor.

"Stop! Stop this madness at once!" Karen glared at her

"Stop? You want me... To stop?" Mia laughed hysterically. "You are no mother, you're a deceitful lying witch! How... How could you live with your conscience knowing that you deprived me of my real life, of my family." Mia started sobbing. "Dad, Laura, Jimmy, Russell -"

Karen's eyes widened. "What are you-"

"Oh stop it mamà! Yes I remember everything!! You stole my life away from me." Mia shook her head slowly, remembering all the despicable things Karen had said she did. "You told me my accident happened because I acted like a whore, because I ran away with a man, because I was nothing but a cheap prostitute! You said, I was always sleeping around and that karma was just having it's way. You told me I got pregnant for a random married man...." Mia almost chocked, she felt disgusted. "How on earth did you sit and just fabricate a fucking story like that? And I... I... I believed every damn word that came out from your mouth! For the last seven years, all I did was make up for my past, I did everything you asked because I thought I put you through hell. Everything I did was for you mamà, not once did I ever think of myself."

Mia kept weeping... "How could you look me in the eye and lie to my face? For seven years, didn't guilt hook you for even a tiny bit? What kind of mom are you?!" She yelled at her.

Karen kept swallowing, looking for the right words. "I did those things to help you move on. I couldn't think of another way, I had to lie. If I had told you the truth, you would never move on. I kept the truth away to protect you, I didn't want you finding out that some teenage boy who couldn't contain his raging hormones raped you and left you."

"Ryan didn't rape me! I consented!"

"You were innocent, too young to be a mother! I didn't want you going down the same path as I did, for goodness sake, you had a bright future ahead of you! You were my only baby, I saw what that monster did to you. I couldn't bare seeing you suffering because of the poor decisions you made." Karen didn't seem sorry for her actions. "If I would, I will do it again and again."

"You took my baby away from me." Mia cried. "You made me think she was a mistake but mom, I wanted to keep her. You forced me to lose my baby." Mia kept on crying.

"I did what every mother would do in my place. You were only seventeen, I would never had let you ruin your life. Can't you see, all that you are is all thanks to me! I saved you! I gave you another chance to redeem yourself."

"At the expense of my child." Mia felt sick.

"And I will do it again if I have to. Now that you remember everything, do you still think Ryan is innocent? He's to blame for everything, for your accident," she walked up to Mia. "For your memory loss, for your child. All the blame is on him." Karen placed a hand on Mia's shoulder. "Everything I did, I did because I love you. Ryan is a worthless piece of trash, he doesn't deserve your pity nor your tears. He almost killed you, but I, your mother, I saved you." Karen said to her.

Mia gave her a piercing glare... "There's no difference between you and him. Ryan can be anything but he's not as evil as you." Mia swatted her hand away. "You better tell Ares to stay away from me because now, he's got nothing on me. I know the truth, everything he knows are all bunch of lies. So he can screw the devil for all I care." Mia said before walking towards the door.

Karen turned to look at Mia, folding her arms over her chest "You'd be foolish to go back to Ryan."

"You don't make the rules anymore." Mia said finally before walking out.

Karen clenched her fist that it turned white. She wasn't angry, she was frightened, scared. What would happen now that the truth was out to light? Couldn't Mia understand that she only meant well? Her daughter was more than furious with her, Karen didn't know what to do.

Karen was in great panic.... What would she do now? Now that everything was out open, that bastard wouldn't blackmail her anymore! That Ares DeLuca!

Karen never liked him for one day contrary to what Mia thought. Of course she never wanted her daughter to marry him and when he came for Mia's hand, she disagreed. But then, he had somehow found out about Mia's past and so threatened Karen that he was going to tell Mia the whole truth. Karen couldn't let him do that so she had to pretend she was in favour of Mia's marriage to him.

When their marriage couldn't push through, Karen was very happy. Now, the reason why she had asked for his help was to break Mia and Ryan for the fear of Mia finding out the whole truth. But now that Mia finally knew everything, there was no use of Ares anymore.

Karen sighed looking at the shattered glasses. She thought, one less problem.
