"Fair do's, though, that's a great bit of air conditioning. Sort of nice and old fashioned. Bet they call it retro." The doctor says as he scans a panel. "Gotcha." He says, but right as he does, one of the metal spiders comes out of it and starts to climb up the wall. "What the hell's that?"

"Is it part of the retro?" Jabe asks.

"I don't think so. Hold on." He says and aims his screwdriver at the metal spider. After a few seconds though, Jabe lassoes it and the doctor catches it with one hand.

"Hey, nice liana."

"Thank you. We're not supposed to show them in public."

"Don't worry, I won't tell anybody. Now then, who's been bringing their pets on board?"

"What does it do?"

"Sabotage." He says and the computer speaks all around them.

"Earth Death in ten minutes."

"And the temperature's about to rocket. Come on."

"Earth Death in ten minutes." The computer speaks again. Up on the Observation gallery, Cassandra makes an announcement.

"The planet's end. Come gather, come gather. Bid farewell to the cradle of civilisation. Let us mourn her with a traditional earth ballad." She says and the Jukebox starts to play Toxic.

As the Doctor and Jade run back to the main gallery, they see a bunch of aliens in front of a smoking door. The Doctor stops and goes over to the panel.

"Hold on, get back!" He says and starts to use the sonic on it.

"Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising." The computer says.

"Is the steward in there?" Jabe asks.

"You can smell him. Hold on, there's another sun filter programmed to descend." He says and runs away.

Alex's POV

My eyes open and I quickly sit up.

"What the hell..." I mutter and Look around the room. I look over and see Rose lying unconscious. "Rose!" I shout quietly, but she doesn't wake up. I quickly stand up and go towards the door. I try to open it, but it wouldn't budge.

"Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending." The computer says and that's when Rose wakes up.

"No no no!" I shout and continue on the door. When she realizes what's going on, she comes over to the door and start to hammer on it as well.

"Let us out! Let us out!" She screams, but it's no use.

"Sun filter descending." The computer says and I look back out.

"Let me out, let me out, let me out!" She shouts.

"Come on let us out!!" I say and start to band on the door again.

"Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending." the computer says and a tear streams down my face.

"Anyone in there?" A new voice says.

"Doctor, it's us!" I shout.

"Let us out!" Rose says.

"Oh, it would be you guys." He says.

"Open the door!" Both of us shout.

"Hold on. Give us two ticks." The Doctor shouts and I look back to the window. Rose continues to knock on the door, but then something happens.

"Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising." the computer says and I look back to the door, then to the window. A smile appears on my lips, but then it disappears. "Sun filter decreasing." the computer says and I turn back to the door.

"Just what we need." I hear the doctor say.

"What's going on?" I ask through the door.

"The computer's getting clever."

"Stop mucking around!" Rose shouts.

"I'm not mucking about. The computer's fighting back." He says and she continues to pound on the door.

"Open the door!"

"I know!" He shouts back and I sigh. I grab Rose's hand and move down the steps away from the glare as it moves towards the door.

'The lock's melted!" She shouts at The Doctor.

"Sun filter descending, sun filter descending, sun filter rising, sun filter rising." The computer says. Rose stands up and runs towards the door and I follow after her.

"The whole things jammed. I can't open the doors. Stay there, don't move!" He shouts.

"Where are am I going to go, Ipswich?" She asks.

"Earth Death in five minutes." The computer says and I sigh in relief.

3rd POV

The Doctor runs into the observation deck and finds Jabe as she is announcing something.

"The metal machine confirms. The spider devices have infiltrated the whole of Platform One." She says.

"How's that possible? Our private rooms are protected by a code wall. Moisturise me, moisturise me." Cassandra says and her servants do.

"Summon the steward." The Moxx sasy.

"I'm afraid the steward is dead." Jabe says.

"Who killed him?"

"This whole event was sponsored by the Face of Boe. He invited us. Talk to the Face. Talk to the Face." Cassandra says and The Doctor speaks up.

"Easy way of finding out. Someone bought their little pet on board. Let's send him back to master." He says and sets the metal spider on the ground. It goes towards Cassandra, but then scurrise over to the adherents.

"The Adherents of the Repeated Meme. J'accuse!" Cassandra shouts.

"That's all very well, and really kind of obvious, but if you stop and think about it." He says and goes over to the adherents. It starts to attack him, but he pulls of his arm. "Repeated Meme is just an idea. And that's all they are, an idea." He says and all of the hooded figures fall to the ground. "Remote controlled Droids. Nice little cover for the real troublemaker. Go on, Jimbo. Go home." He says and the little spider goes over to the last human Cassandra.

"Bet you were the school swot and never got kissed. At arms!" She shouts and her servants position themselves to shot The Doctor.

"What are you going to do, moisturize me?"

"With acid. Oh, you're too late, anyway. My spiders have control of the mainframe. Oh, you all carried them as gifts, tax free, past every code wall. I'm not just as pretty face."

"Sabotaging the whole ship with you on it? How stupid is that?"

"I'd hoped to manufacture a hostage situation with myself as one of the victims. The compensation would have been enormous."

"Five billion years into the future and it still all comes down to money."

"Do you think it's cheap, looking like this? Flatness costs a fortune. I am the last human, Doctor. Me. Not those freaky little kids of yours."

"Arrest her, the infidel!" The Moxx shouts!

"Oh, shut it, pixie. I've still got my final option." She says.

"Earth will detonate in three minutes." The computer says.

"And here it comes. You're just as useful dead, all of you. I have shares in your rival companies and they'll triple in price as soon as you're dead. My spiders are primed and ready to destroy the safety systems. How did that old Earth song go? Burn, baby, burn." Cassandra says.

"Then you'll burn with us." Jabe speaks up.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I know the use of teleportation is strictly forbidden, but I'm such a naughty thing. Spiders, activate.." She says and there are explosions here and there throughout the ship. "Force Fields gone with the planet about to explode. At least it'll be quick. Just like my fifth husband. Oh, shame on me."

"Safety systems failing." The computer says.

"Bye, bye, darlings. Bye, bye, my darlings." She says and with that, Cassandra and her servants beam out.

"Heat levels rising," The computer says.

"Reset the computer." the Moxx says.

"Only the Steward would know how." Jabe says

"No. We can do it by hand. There must be a system restore switch. Jabe, come on. You lot, just chill." The Doctor says and he leave as the computer keeps saying 'heat rising'.
